Re: What's your pet peeve in FFXI?

Ok Im feeling some annoyance from last night's party and they just happend to hit most my pet peeves

1.Whms who don't heal me till im down to 200-300 hp then spam cure IV then take hate.

2.Whms who use holy just to kill the enemy when it has 10 hp left

3.Whms who cant heal you when your out of hp, and the smn has to toss in a couple cure IIIs

4.Monks who spam raging fists before the second voke (comon when you do more that 200 damage on your gonna pull hate and theres really nothing i can do)

5.Melee who toss up ever buff they possibly can as fast as they can when they dont even need them (ie monks tossing up conterstance, and dodge first thing in the battle on top of berserk+focus+boost)

6.The fact the drk is coming from jueno to the galiage citadel, and theres a war/nin thats standing right next to your party, and the party is so impatient, "Hey lets get the war/nin", after theyve already tlaked to the drk.

7.Melee who cant hit the broad side of a barn. (ie I was out tping them, when they were both 50, and i was 49.)

8.About 2 minutes after i dinged 50 i got my first raise request.

9.when you most the time outdamage the war's raging axes (ie most the time seraph was doing 100-120, the raging axes went from 50-110, though one time for 150)

10.Blms who cant stand still when your trying to cover them, right after AM

11..Blms who say, "No axes much better than Gaxe".

    12. for the final battle of the night you toss up your 2-hour, and berserk just for the heck of it, and with you new sword your doing just as much base damage a the other melee (30-40 a reqular hit)

Here are my only other ones outside that party.

13.Rdms who say, you dont get refresh because you have auto-refresh.

14.Rdms who seem like they would much drather refresh the melee than you (cmon when you have 3 people to refresh me, the whm, and you. STOP BEING SO LAZY AND LEAVING ME OUT OF THE CYCLE!)

And the worst part is those have been almost every rdm since level 41 ><

    Anywho thats my little addition

I will live, and die by the Sword

Re: What's your pet peeve in FFXI?

      1) People who expect my RDM to main heal and keep 4-6 people refreshed at the same time.
      2) People who don't tell me my RDM will be main heal until I get to camp and they ask why I have BLM sub.
      3) -NOTE: I KNOW THIS CAN'T BE HELPED BUT IT STILL DRIVES ME NUTS- Trying to heal a melee who is constantly changing out equip. I know you have to change out equip (sometimes a lot), but it's still annoying as hell to have my targeting cancelled.
      4) People that can't/won't/don't listen to directions. "Don't melee that, you'll give it TP." >>Jelly readies Fluid Toss<< "..."
      5) Party invite tells while I'm a) in a pt, b) the leader of a pt, c) /anon. Just because you checked me as I ran by in WHM AF and saw me with 75 gear does not give you the right to ignore my /anon.
      6) Raise/Tele requests while I'm in a pt in an exp area.
      7) Raise/Tele requests while I'm /anon (see #5)
      8) Raise/Tele/EXP pt requests when I have something like {Experience Points} {No Thanks} in my search comment. You clicked on my name. You saw the comment. Don't be an idiot.
      9) (Already mentioned but worth repeating) Melee that stacks abilities that send HP shooting from full to 1/4 in 2 seconds flat. It's easier and more MP efficient to let you die and Raise you than try to heal you. I don't care how much "leet" damage you can do, next time you're eating sand/grass/mud/snow/dirt/rabbit droppings.

All I can think of at the moment

        Ah, right. That reminds me.

        - People who want me to sub whm when main heal against mobs with no status effects or AoEs to speak of because "it makes your cures better." No it doesn't. It does however make them cost 10% more on average than if I was subbing blm. Don't ask me to gimp myself and then call me gimp when I refuse.

People who undercut for no reason other than impatience. Even on items that are selling very swiftly at their current price, some idiots feel that getting rid of a few items RIGHT NOW is worth undercutting by 50% or more.

            In no particular order...

Pets at the Al Zhabi AH... if pets are there, I can't always hit F8 to target the AH person unless I get close...
Going into my Moghouse in my hometown, waiting a few seconds, then realizing I need to talk to the person to move my moogle.
Casinos; that goes double for casinos that shout.

Request to move this to the main forum Since I noticed it is mostly non-seraph people replying.

It may get more attention there, thanks!

pet peeve: Music files in ToAU zones. Because of the way these files are compiled they seriously LAG the game to a noticable degree even if you are alone!

Edit* How did I get negative gil and negative reputation?

I'm sorry if I offended anyone by donating my gil? o.O

Only way I can think of to do that is with Thief! Stealing gil messes up your rep, and unsuccessful attemps actually lose you gil. I don't see your name on the purchase history, though ...

I didn't even notice this was in a server forum. I'll move it if you want.

Sorry, when I need space, or I don't have much time, i'll put my items up for however much I feel like. Right now, I think I have Kampf pants on AH for 100k off their normal price. I have COR dice up at half price. I want my crap to sell, so I can keep moving mah wares.

If you don't like that, you're perfectly welcome to buy my stuff off me for full price.

Recently, my girlfriend and I needed to level our cooking. The next craft was Roast Mushrooms. For whatever reason, Sleepshrooms had double to 20k a stack. So in order to skillup we would need to spend a total of 320k for the stacks of sleepshrooms needed.

So rather than throw my money away. I took out my old Main 60Thf/30Nin and went to Gelshba (sp) to slaughter, I mean farm off of the Shrooms there. One Cyclone later and I had a stack+ of shrooms. 5 minutes later. Rinse and repeat.

Some level 56 Dark Knight comes along, guessing he wanted to farm them as well, see me and and my girl killing off the shrooms and proceeds to call us RMT.

So since when did supporting my craft make me RMT?

He's a newb. I could call you a fucking retard, yet that statement has no bearing at all. You need more evidence than someone killing shrooms to have the right to call someone an RMT, such as a 3rd party claim system, travel hack, a real money transaction in /say, etc.

Re: What's your pet peeve in FFXI?

If you're selling a piece of equipment then whatever. But yesterday Nebimonite were selling for a steady 33-35k and had been for days. Then somebody put armfuls of squid up for less than 20k. The price eventually recovered, but sometimes it doesn't. Awhile back Dorado sushi was selling for 65k a stack, steadily for days, when somebody decided it should be 50k instead and the price stayed there. Now it's 40k. So this level 92 synth that requires a 30k GP item to make is now a mere 100k and hour instead of close to 300k. Why? Somebody just doesn't like making money, I guess.

Ugh, that drives me batty too. I see it with silent oils all the time. Yeah, I know everyone hates paying for them, but the margin is thin enough to begin with. Those ingredients cost a lot, dangit! (time or money).

Well, I'm in the TFB camp when it comes to undercutting. The way of the world is to make money and if someone farms all the ingredients and puts it up for 1/2 of what I do, then more power to him. If I'm no longer going to make money buy selling that item for the price I can make a decent profit at, TFB for me. There will always be competition and people trying to take my business away, its just like real life. I can either sit around and whine about it or I can get off my butt and figure something out. Ya change sucks, but it happens and you either learn to go with the flow or you can sit on the sidelines.

I always tell people who want to craft for a living, that you need to diversify. The market jumps around a lot. I haven't touched my main craft (alchemy) for profit in weeks, because it's just not there, but Clothcraft has been good to me lately.
