Seal quests... anyone who has done them just knows.

Mannequin parts. I bought a head a few weeks ago but have had little luck finding other parts. I used to see them everywhere in people's Bazaars. Now I see none. I'm interested cuz I really don't have much to spend my gil on these days but now I can't find. I was on my mule and saw some feet for 50k but after I mailed my mule the gil, that person had logged... then I saw someone selling feets again... but this time they were 2mil =/ I meant, wow... huge difference there.

Still a pet peeve... other's fuckin' junk-trophies in their bazaars. Especially the ones that camp their dumb asses right in the crossroads of P. Jeuno with all the people who are legitimately attempting to sell something. I really wish we had Rolanberry malls still.

People blaming me for a wipe. I was in a seal farming party that joined with another seal farming party. We went to buy another popset and coming back to the Hydra NM in Grauberg I aggro'd two Wivres cuz for some reason I had it in my head they were blind... yeah, my mistake. They are fighting the Hydra and I'm typing, "Let me die" since I have the RR atma on when the other party's BLM casts sleep on them. They don't sleep they just get pissed off and start attacking him... someone else from the other party goes to save the BLM... the camp party we joined chose was right where the ??? is and also where Wivres spawn... so 3-4 more pop right on top of everyone fighting the Hydra cuz the JP group everyone was bitchin' about left, so there was no one killing the pops... The alliance wipes and the Hydra teabags us before despawning. Someone asks who brought all the Wivre to camp... Another says, me. I say "I'm sorry" but defend myself by mentioning I only aggro'd two and the rest popped on us and people should have just let me die. Takes two to tango. I would have been a-okay to die.

Not being allowed to join an abyssea alliance (LTP @ worms) for healing magic as a 70 SCH because they don't want a leech. I asked if I could join on my 90RDM and they said that would be OK. When I mentioned that I have the same cure spells as a 70 SCH that I have as a 90 RDM, and was (due to strategem use) a better healer as a SCH in this instance, they just ignored me.

The following day I joined a different alliance and just gawked at the lousy, good-for-nothing WHMs that were in the alliance. I can almost understand their hesitation on inviting a 70 SCH when the 80+ WHMs they already had were so awful.

In the end I healed the crap out of that alliance and went from 70 to 90 in the process!

Yeah, my party was pulling the thing way down the hill. Idk why the hell they thought it was a good idea to fight in the wivre homelands.

With refresh atmas anyone with Cure IV can heal on worms. I was in a party where a 48WHM was doing a respectable job as a second healer just hitting C4. That baffles me that they wouldn't allow you in.

Maintenance. When you're at Throne Room [S]. In my case we knew it was coming and were working on getting a bunch of long cutscenes done for BQ13. But just as it was 15 minutes til, two others reached it for WotG37. And SE really cut it quick this time. It's usually up for about 5 minutes after the hour, but they kicked me at 2 minutes after.

So no playing for an hour or two in the morning, I have to keep my ass on ice so we can finish it tomorrow when I get home from work.

WTF. Sure, a 70 DD can't hit for shit, but a mage is still going to heal just as well at 70 as at 75...or 65 or less. It's not leeching if you can freaking do something useful. Doubly so if you tell them you have atma like MM. But yeah, gimp mages give good ones a bad name.

Like that BLM/WHM JP who was doing nothing but skilling up, and was one of only two players with Raise in the whole freaking alliance, and acted insulted--and left shortly thereafter--when he was called on it. Yes, thank you, we have plenty of azure now. Freaking raise those gimps already. Meanwhile, my barely-able-to-hit-a-worm level 70-ish ass was not dying because I had some regen atma on.

So yeah, peeve: people who are so butthurt about being called for leeching in the past that they will call a level 70 SCH a leech at worms.

Nepionic Soulflayer. That thing is mean to a party of 60s. Made three attempts at it last night. First attempt got it down to ~55% with a meikyo shisui (not doing the full45% with if,but it helped) Sam pulled hate, which got a few intimidates in which is probably what let me get it down so far. After that, inopportune usage of sleepga and non-stunable tier ii/iii ga spells and going magic immune.

Going to see about getting a dragon dish, the Sam AF helm, and popping warding circle to see if that helps. Also going to try pulling a snoll tsar strat and just unload on it from the get go. Do a sekkanoni skill chain and burst bad breath on the off chance something nasty from it actually takes effect. From there, pop azure lore and chainspell and skill chain/magic burst for the next 30 seconds and finish off with meikyo shisui, dropping an AM from the BLM somewhere in there on one of the bursts. And poison pots. Cant forget those.

Seriously, who doesn't bring Sneak to Bostaunieux Oubliette. I don't have /NIN or /DNC is not a valid excuse. Sure, the WHM is nice enough to cast it on you every time, but them asking me (and others) to hold off killing the bat trio because he is behind waiting on recast timer isn't cool.

I think the better question is why do you need sneak when you're doing pages? Get a puller or just roam and rip through everything. There's no sense in dodging mobs if it's going to mess up the exp flow. You really can't bring enough silent oils to party down there and dodge aggro all night long, it's not a realistic expectation.

Meh, I found it a lot easier to just steamroll everything than bother with skulking about. It really works best with a good puller and setting up camp at the book. The hounds won't matter too much in that situation because you'll be waiting on repops anyway so the time lost on hounds isn't a deal breaker.

Just my experience from the time I spent herding cats in the oubliette.

You're saying you just pull everything to the book and kill two pages worth of mobs in one page? Or do you (somehow) get people to stop killing midway and everyone get a new page with mobs floating around? If that works, I guess it would be better. But, I would think it would be more like hearding house flies than cats, as you say.

iirc there's enough bats that you can do two pulls before you start waiting on respawn timers. I've seen really good pullers make it work. Either way I find it preferable to roaming because then you just end up with some poor sap who's out of range and doesn't get credit for a mob and you have to kill an extra and then someone will aggro additional mobs on the way back as they respawn and it just gets more and more aggravating as time goes on.

I'm not a fan of GoV parties, but keeping everyone but the puller parked at the book is the easiest way to keep things running in an organized fashion unless you're doing something like a three man group with friends.
