Well we actually had an LS party forming up to do it and we merged with this building party. And I didn't even know that I was the only WHM there when we reached the camp flux. It was also pretty much first thing in the morning and I hadn't even realised there were no other healers.

Felt sorry for poor Rothy though since he died a silly number of times in that group. Poor little Taru. The statues were playing pingpong with him.

Supposedly doing Bastion Ops helps the martello live longer, but I dunno. The one in Vunkerl Inlet seemed to be slightly more durable when I was trying to get my RDM pants.

Why is it that when I'm kiting a non-NM mob, I have like 45 seconds to kill it or it loses aggro and despawns, but if I aggro a mob that I don't want to kill, it will hunt me to the ends of the earth?

People who form Abyssea parties and then stick like 4 leechers in it for their own gain.

What the fuck? My exp is shot to hell and I can lose up to 3 stones because you wanted a free ride..

Also, I have no stones left.

So I was in an AF3 feet farming party last night. A WHM did form up the alliance, leaving us with two WHMs to roll on the feet so we /randomed and I won the first lot.

3 hours in and the WHM leader had to go but he got a rep. he very clearly explained to his rep that I would have first lot on WHM feet.

Myriad of NM KIs pop, all of them being ninja'd either while the alliance were /randoming or while they were still fighting

WHM feet drop 3 minutes later. I lot, getting 48. I think "Sure it's okay, he's been told he can't roll anyway"

Replacement WHM rolls with 480...

Firewind facepalms and asks the other WHM why he's ninja lotting. The other WHM said "Well I have full seals so I thought I could" while forgetting the fact that regardless of that, he was second in line. He did apologise though.

More KI's drop, only to be ninja'd. I stop healing the ninjas and the other WHM helping me not heal the ninja looters as a sort of olive branch.

Said rep WHM runs off with the boots 2 hours later.

More KI's, more ninja'd, I start booting people from the alliance for it at this point. People finally start actually /randoming for boss KIs.

6 hours into the party and at 5AM in the morning the boots finally drop.

Another KI drop, another is Ninja'd though at this point everyone it too tired to go on. Each feet frop dropped so everyone got something (Except the Ranger who forgot that RNG Feet don't drop in Attowah)

Firewind realises that this game is worse than World of Warcraft for ninja looting.

The people in the corner AFKing aren't the problem. The problem is the leeches that are swinging weapons to disguise the fact that they're leeching.

Or shadowing someone on /follow. It's even worse because they're nothing more than MP sponges so I inevitably run out of MP faster than I should do. Then I have to convince an alliance that thinks that all WHMs are godlike because the good and very well geared ones fully loaded with Atma never seem to run out of MP, to slow down a bit because I won't be able to drop multiple Cure V/VI's on people whose shadows are down or under pressure until I recover some MP or someone pops a blue chest with temps.

I onetime tried to solo Walbler (that gnat in atthowa) on Bst. After about 15-20 minutes I decided to conflux across the map. I had only taken about 10% hp off so…no way I could have done it in time.

So I confluxed across the map (by treants). Bout 2 minutes later, guess who shows up and kills me ><.

Find a BLU or other fast DD who is beating on a mob and join them. Thanks to the moronic design of Bastion, you get NO EXP (or presumably bastion points) unless a mob dies. And the battle lasts like 30 seconds if nobody has been servicing the martellos... which of course people will happily take time away from a zillion other things just to "water the plants".
