Hint: PLD can natively use Phalanx now, not just ones that leveled RDM.

Oh and there is also the supply side, everyone is doing Abyssea, not BCNM's.

I think this is the problem more than PLD getting it natively, because I recall Utsusemi prices also shooting through the roof around the same time. 200k one night, 1 million within the month I think it went.

This was of course quickly followed by "Oh my god this is fucking amazing and worth every penny".

Ya, that. Though I waited until it had dropped to 75k to get it. I think I was 55 by then.

I think I got Phalanx for like 50-60k once upon a time, wonder if FFXIAH still has that transaction in my history. o_O

Still, that was A LOT of gil for me back in the day. Heck I remember when I bought my first uber +1 weapon (Bee Spatha +1), now that was a real accomplishment. By the time I was kicked out by SE I was still using the same sword just with better stats.

As for peeves on XI still the same, though it's becoming less of a peeve the more time I'm out of the game. <_<;

I still don't have Phalanx, and I won't until it drops for me in a BCNM. It was consistently 600k on Ifrit before we got merged with Odin. Now it's 700k to 800k. Raise III used to be 5k. Now it's going for 900k to over a million. My poor hubby doesn't have it as 90WHM because that's freakin' ridiculous. Luckily, most of our LS has Shinryu's atma & doesn't really need R3s in Abyssea.

I still don't have Blizzard IV as 90BLM because it's around 400k. I cracked and bought Aero IV for around 275k a couple of weeks ago. 400K is just highway robbery, though. Gonna have to pick on skeletons somewhere for Blizzard IV.

If you can make 400k in hour and a half then it may not be worth the time, otherwise places like KRT will get you 2 of those in around 2 hours. Not counting other drops of course.

Also, it was like 250k in Valefor last I checked so I dunno if drop rates differ.
