Mini cut scenes that you have to see over and over and over and over again.

Like the stupid mini cut scene where you get hit with the heart or star by accepting or finishing a Trial of Mag
Or every time you enter (or re-enter) Walk of Echoes you to have a stupidly long convo with the moogle.

Theirs plenty but those are the 2 most recent I run into

Not at all. I'm complaining about them being created in a way that caused you to waste hours at a time navigating around maps that should have been much simpler to traverse such as Beaucedine Glacier if you wanted to get to Fei Yin or, as previously mentioned, tiny little lips of rock making entire routes impassable causing you to have to go around an entire zone to cover what should be a 1 minute journey. It's fuck all to do with immersion and everything to do with making you waste chunks of your life doing mundane, dreary shit instead of playing the game.

So basically, you are complaining that zone design isn't a flat open table. Are we going to complain that mobs aggro next? They slow you down from your main objective too.

Ever been on a glacier or mountain pass? They are not straight forward to navigate.
Ever been in a ruin, or hell even seen one on TV? Many obvious paths are often obstructed.

On top of all that it is a PvE game. The environment IS out to get you, and yes, obstacles are part of that.

Yes, stupidest thing ever ... I get why you have to go through the customs and can't just walk through it yourself, but dammit, do they have to make you walk the slowest possible way?

Related to the customs thing: As a Captain, always having to talk to the taru at the runic portal to confirm that you really want to spend 0 IS on a one-time runic portal use permit.

Which does have a point, but hell, lets just forget that.

I'm just going to come to the obvious conclusion that your time is just so valuable and important it is a crime against humanity to slow you down for a single second while you are playing a game.

The cutscene itself is just unnecessary. They could let me talk to the NPC, when I say yes, I want the ticket, boom, they could transport me. It's not going to hurt my immersion to not see my character walking slowly through. The entire point of the cutscene is to show some sort of "reality" in getting from point A to point B (and never mind if you're not standing where the game wants you to stand for the cutscene, it actually turns your character around and walks you to that point, which is sometimes backwards to go forwards) while basically "masking" it being a clever teleport from outside the shipyard to inside.

They don't need to have that cutscene. Everyone wants to just get to the damn boat. I'm sure no one would cry if the game just faded to "cutscene" as it does, and faded back out with your character on the other side of the big Galka bouncer guy.

And before you say it, no, they shouldn't just transport me to the boat. Or to my destination. But what they're essentially doing is porting you, so why can't they just show it as such instead of making you watch that? For that matter, they should just make it a zone and have you go through Downloading Data... It's just unnecessary and people don't want to wait on it, especially the six thousandth time they've seen it.

It would be less of a concern if I hadn't lost count of the number of times I've run to the ship only to have it pull away right as I got to the end of the pier.

^ This, for sure. I've done nothing but spam WoE the past few weeks and the long, drawn out, unecessary cut scene is getting really old.

Well I told my friend/Ls Leader that I wasnt happy and that as soon as I get back from Egypt in 5 weeks I'll be planning on a move to Valefor. I'd spoken to the leader previously "about 2 months ago" about how I felt via /t and /p when we duo'd smn a few levels.
This time I did it in /l so everyone could read it. I'm not usually one for drama but I didn't see the point in hiding how I felt.
There was only myself, Jamiefulton and Hollowwind in the shell at the time and I kinda felt bad because Hollow helps everybody when he can. I did get dragged out to abyssea Tahrongi and they got me all the conflux thingies for the zone and 4 abbysites.
Allthough I am grateful for them taking me out there I still feel it's a little "too little, too late" because when they were burning jobs up from 30 onwards and making progress my requests to join in were unanswered. The thing is I wanted to start abyssea with people I trusted and not waste my stones trying to work out my ass from my elbow and judging from people on other forums you need x y z atma / gear etc to join in but they all had to start somewhere right? I'm in 2 Ls that do a mixture of both things regularly but I'm always overlooked. It can't be the whole LOLBST thing as there is around 5 other bsts in both shells and they were being taken along.

So now I feel like I'm stabbing folk in the back.
Anyway enough of me whining I don't like drama llama's
