Meh... good drop rates on gear w/ my THF so far. Not the gear I'm looking for but getting gears. Currency really doesn't interest me cuz I never was interested in the pyramid that is a relic weapon.

There's only two reasons to care about getting good currency drop rates: 1) if you're going after a relic (lol) and 2) to pay for a dreamlands glass.

Anyhow, I'm still needing the glacier clear. I've only been in there once, and we failed to clear because the mega boss apparently has some weird hate rules and he went for the wrong guy.

And if you think that's bad, look at what it takes to get a mythic done. In particular, all 50 assaults? (Twice even, I think?) I can't even get people to do them once for rank. At least Nyzul has those (mostly) nice weapon skills at the end to get people interested.

Shitty drop rates I can deal with.

0% drop rates because I can't get anyone together to do city clears with the new system because they're all too busy already having northlands access, not so much.

Drop rates are far from shitty now

I solo there every other day and end up with 50 currency pieces and roughly 2-4 Relic pieces.

Here’s the trick I’ve read. Enter dynamis, go for the 5 TEs first. Once you have all 5, it is VERY easy to proc any mob. I go Nin/Dnc and I can proc every Mnk/Bst/Rng/Nin/Thf demon I come across in xarc with box step or the stunning flourish. Those mobs proc via JA

Whm/Blm/Brd/Rdm all proc via magic. Sometimes Hyoto San procs on them for me.

Pld, War, Drg, Drg proc by WS. Blade: Yu sometimes procs for me.

I stick with Mnk/Thf/Bst because they are the easiest to get !!s

From what I understand, you cannot proc on mobs until you have at least 3 TEs. With 3, it’s a low chance to proc. With 4 it’s a med chance. With all 5 you have a high chance to proc

Proc’ing usually nets me 2 coins (sometimes 1, other times 3)

How the F do you solo that proto-Eye? I took some buddies with me and it wiped the floor with me before my BLU friend could even engage then proceeded to wipe the floor with him as I was KO'd right below the mob. We gave up and just went for the 4 we already had gotten. Couldn't get any procs but that was mainly cuz we had so little time after that and getting another friend the TEs he'd missed... well, it was a fiasco all told but we did get 2 relic, a coin, and a boss pop. Still how the F did you kill that stupid proto-eye???

... I think I may just go DNC next time and say screw it to the TH. I can proc up to lvl 7-8 before the mob dies but I've noticed I've gotten more relic off of un-proc'd TH than with =/

Well, keep in mind; I’m the best Nin on our server…if not ffxi. BAAAAHHHAAAAAhAA Just kidding…I’m average at best ><.

Um, I fought the Eye about 4 times as Nin/Dnc. 1st time it was a breeze, 2nd and 3rd times I just barely made it out alive and the 4th time I died right away because he opened up with Firaga III…which made it an 8 minute dynamis run for me ><. Maybe going in with a Hi-potion or 2 can help.

I go Nin/dnc and engage with at least 100+ TP, Haste (or drain) samba, Miga tool and usually atk. food. I WS if I have enough HP and full shadows. Getting Protect/shell/Reraise from the book right outside the entrance is always helpful. Possibly even regen/refresh if you feel fit.

I’m not sure if the TEs effect relic drops. TBH I don’t think they do. But they certainly do for currency. Coins drop rates are shit when you don’t proc so it’s in your best interested to get all TEs if you want coins.

There’s a youtube video that can be very helpful. Shows a Nin pulling Mnk mobs, proc-ing then using Innin and fighting behind while the mob is stunned. Works very well imo. If you can proc early enough, it locks out their 2 hr also (so no Hundred Fists or Perfect Dodge %^^).

If you’re soloing, BST MNK THF NIN RNG mobs are what you want to target. I’d actually avoid NIN and RNG though. They have ranged attacks making pulling a little harder. They also spam a TP move the goes though shadow thus making it very hard to evasion tank. If you dont have a decent eva. set, maybe avoid Bsts too..but the wyverns arent that accurate imo. Don’t WS on the others until you proc. Just spam Box Step and the Stun flourish until it procs. Procs are different than Abyssea. Seems like you can proc at any time (durning spells/TP moves). They also don’t seem to be a specific JA, more just % on JAs. So if it doesn’t proc right away…keep going and eventually it will.

He did that twice to us... that he doesn't always makes all the difference. Good to know. Tbh I really didn't expect the 5th TE to be a Eye mob. I almost missed him cuz I just wasn't expecting it.

Yeah they didn't touch my THF. I'm thinking it will be the same for my DNC. I got a pretty decent Evasion set. If you don't have a good Evasion set and you main THF or DNC, you are a pet peeve of mine =P

God...I tried wading through the Neo Dynamis thread over there and just gave up. Too much fuzy non-data and not enough consolidation of findings. Someone call me when they have everything sorted out.

I'm finding BLU to be really frustrating right now. It's just a hump I need to get over, but it has been pretty draining. Fairly essential spells that take a long time to learn, slow exp everywhere, weird mob ranges for pages, be they FoV or GoV. It's just starting to wear me down.

A couple of years ago I could have just gotten a nice, fast, TOAU party, but alas! Building one of those or finding one is a bitch right now. Maybe today will be better.
