Actually, I'm not saying Bahamut is highbrow at all... but I sure feel like my IQ drops when I read the shouts in Jeuno.
Before the merge, 99% of all shouts (English shouts anyway, and given the repetitive nature of Japanese shouts I would have to assume those as well, though since I can't read them I can't say for sure) were either asking for help with something or recruiting for something, like Abyssea pickup parties for example. My Black List had exactly 5 people on it. I could zone into Port Jeuno and not have any problems.
This morning, 99% of the shouts (and according to those who were on that lived in the UK, started when the servers got on last night) were conversations, and quite obviously people from the new server, as they were complaining about their name being taken and forced to change. Now, in order to only see the things that are worth seeing (those pickup groups or people asking for help), I've had to add about 30 people to my black list within a 10 minute time frame.
Yes, I'm sure the whole thing will die down in a week or two, but in the meantime I have to put up with many, many people who insist on carrying on very long, very stupid conversations in shout.
Besides, Bahamut has always seemed (to me) to be a little bit more organized and respectful than some other servers, either because of the substantial Japanese population we've had, or that it's one of the oldest servers. I'm not saying other servers aren't organized and respectful, but it has been a VERY long time since I've heard of anyone stealing dynamis zones, popping NMs while other groups mull around, etc on Bahamut. We always, at the very least, try to work things out without resorting to smear campaigns that seem to be somewhat common on other servers.
We had been having good luck on Ifrit with groups taking turns popping NMs in Abyssea. I'm hoping the people on Odin will be as polite as the Ifritians have been of late.
Fishbotters are having a war in the Nebimonite market and my wallet is the victim here. Why yes, I'd love for you two scumbags to crash the price from 25k per stack down to 10k or less. I'm just thrilled at the prospect of going back to the days where a stack only nets me a paltry 7k.
Motherfucking fishbotters. Ruining it for the rest of us.
I had to change the name of my main character, and will have to change the names of three of my five mules. It doesn't look like any of the involved names are taken by other people's main characters -- so they're either mules or names held by people who no longer even play the freakin' game.
Grrr. I pretty much find this the most annoying part of the world merge (so far, anyway). Our LS did an Abyssea NM run as we often do on Tuesdays -- but it was really weird having so many people under the "wrong" names. My new name (Nightshayde) is longer than my original name (Shayde) -- so any macro in which I say anything looks wrong because of the spacing. Most notable with my "gather for buffs" macro.
I haven't logged in with the mules whose names need to be changed 'cause I don't know what to change them to, yet. One in particular really annoys me because it was my little girl's nickname when she was tiny. That's the only mule name to which I have a semi-emotional attachment. Hopefully just putting an extra letter into it or on the end of it will do the trick.
When Hades ate Cerb and allowed it to keep it's name, the biggest hit I took was that my mule Yodaa had to switch to Droid. Others got it much much worse.
Any opinions expressed are my own, and potentially unpopular with others. Should this be upsetting, maybe, read it again, insert smiley faces, rainbows, and glitter as needed.
I'm reasonably certain no one uses Aksannyi. I've even checked WoW armory - I am the only one. Out of all of WoW's servers, and that's pretty massive.
For my other mules? Yeah, some of those names are used, I'm sure, but for most of them, I wouldn't care too much. The only one I would care is Lalitevan, which, like Night, is a spin of my kids' names.
My TH. The more I get of it, the less it seems to work. Spent an hour farming invisible scrolls as 44thf (TH1) last week, walked away with two. Spent an hour in the same spot as 46thf (TH2) a couple days ago, got one. Spent over two hours farming in that spot with 46thf with the Treasure Hound kupower (TH3) tonight, didn't get a single damn one.
I didn't think that the Treasure Hound kupower stacked with TH1, which is why I never bother going farming /THF when that kupower is active. Can anyone confirm?

I am pretty sure it doesn't as well. Its just a TH1, unless I am mistaken. The wiki can help with that.
It does. When you land a hit as thf main there is a chance that the treasure hunter effect will increase as an additional effect. When I was 44 the message said it increased to level 2, when I was 46 w/o kupower it said level 3, with the kupower it said level 4.
