I was not saying it was entirely wrong for people to use their native tongue if it's not English. My peeve was specific to recruitment and using the AT.

You know that a majority of the players in the game are JP, right? Relatively, they lose out on very little by shouting in their native language. It's English speaking population that lose out by using English only. Once again, it's a one-way street compromise to ask them to use auto-translate for your sake.

To be fair, most recruitment shouts by NA players are typically done in as much auto-translate as possible, where JP shouts were usually just a long stream (three-six lines sometimes) of Japanese. Now I don't speak Japanese so I don't know, but I doubt that all of their shouts are retarded shout wars like the NA players tend to have on a fairly regular basis. You see an NA player recruting for something? He's using auto-translate. You see him making some stupid argument with <insert competing LS here>, he's obviously not going to use AT. I don't think the JP are missing out on much with that one. Typically, since JP players tend to find shouting to be rude (at least from what I've read on Elmer's blog), they aren't ones to shout unless they are trying to find help with something. So I am going to assume that most JP shouts, auto-translated or not, they are {Looking for members.} It's no question that the NAs and EUs tend to shout more than the JP players, but then again, not all of our shouting was constructive.

Behold your typical discourse over /shout channels. I since left the group on principle after Militiaone joined. Which leads me to another annoyance I have with the mostly male playerbase of the game. All the locker room gay jokes.

The locker room gay jokes get people onto my blacklist faster than just about anything else.

A few years ago, I was in an exp party & was trying to figure out why one of the members was being so quiet. Sure enough, he was on my blacklist. Not sure if it was because of offensive shouts or if he was just one of those people who leaves about five seconds between repetitions of the same shout (I blacklist those, too) -- but he went right back on after the party.

I found out last night that in addition to my two accounts and CK's mule account, his main account - which he'd sold a few months before I quit - was also a casuality of my credit card (as he'd borrowed money from me for a couple months) and also received the banhammer. (Sucks to be the guy who bought it, but that's the risk you take.)

GG, SE, four accounts you were getting money from every month down the tubes. Apparently, not only are they so retarded that they couldn't see that all of the cards paying for my accounts were in the name of J----- A------, but they couldn't take into account the fact that sometimes people borrow money from friends. I have never seen a company care so much where they get their money from. I've had my dad call up on some of my other accounts and give them his name, my account number, and say he doesn't want any info on the account he just wants to pay it, and they let him. Several times, and several different companies. Why is SE so hardheaded?

And people wonder why I'm reluctant to go back, or to even start FFXIV. Same bullshit? No, thank you.

Totally has nothing to do with the botting and other cheating you were doing. Nope, SE is all drooling morons. It's amazing that the majority of bans are against cheaters, those are some lucky morons, they never figured out illegal activity.

Quit your bitching. You cheated and you've quit. No one cares what you think of SE or the game.

When I called for both of my accounts I was told "illegal credit card activity" which they explained to be because I regularly changed credit cards on the account.

(Protip: If I had been banned for anything else, I would have known fully well that I deserved it. Yes, I deserved to be banned for using Windower and 3rd party add-ons. I absolutely did. But that is not the reason I was banned, as stated by SE's representatives themselves.)

How is that ‘illegal’? or maybe I should ask, how often did you change cards? I’ve switched between 3 cards numerous times. There have plenty of times where I was short on a card and instead of overdrawing me, the payment wouldn’t go through and i would not be able to log in. Then I just punch in a different card and I’m back in action.

Almost every month, every three months at most. I was always trying to find the card that had funds available. It was also between four different cards, I'm not sure if it was number of cards or frequency of changes.

Yes, I know what the ramifications of that are, I was extremely broke and I shouldn't have been playing FFXI at all but I will admit to being addicted to the fullest extent: skipping classes for king camps, refusal to get a job, I probably would have stolen money from my mom to play if I still lived with her at that point. :/ It was pretty bad.

I did move a few times and so the addresses on the cards weren't always the same, but if that's what it was then ... well fuck. As for CK's accounts I think he was just guilty by association, all the accounts on that/those card(s) got nuked.

I tried to ask them what the hell was the deal since my name had been on all of the cards I'd used but they just said the same, "We can't do anything about it, I'm sorry, blahblah blah," so I eventually gave up, I had already quit at that point but was considering a return. I played and paid for five years, as well, so the initial card on the account was my ex-husbands, which *gasp* has the same last name as me, go figure. I tried to explain that one, too. If that was it then ... lol /facepalm.

I guess it was either the constant changing or the constant moving looked suspicious to them, god help anyone in the military then. But not really my problem anymore. I'd just recently found out about that fourth account though and thought I'd share.

Dynamis runs getting rescheduled.

Tonight's run got bumped to tomorrow instead, and that's gonna push the Saturday run back to Sunday, which means I get to go into work on Monday feeling like shit or skip the run. Man, fuck not keeping the schedule.

And check out his gimp skills. (Unless he keyed a job that he already had skills for, like SCH for someone with WHM and BLM leveled the slow way... I think if I keyed my SCH, all skills would still be blue at 90, and I have all but the few SCH-only spells already, and I carry around plenty of SCH-friendly gear too.)

It's not that key bitch isn't a valid role in an Abyssea exp alliance, because once it gets going the chests rain down just like Duelist's Chapeau doesn't, but there is no penalty in the Abyssea XP formulas for being seriously under-leveled. Well, there is sort of, but you still end up capping at the full 600+ xp per kill, and there's no nerf on the 1250 XP chests.

If SE changed the minimum level to enter Abyssea to 60, I would have no problem with that. I'm not sure what they expected a level 30 to do in there in the first place, other than leech off that XP without the large party penalty.
