Guys, I am disapointed. I just googled "fucksquat" and got nothing. If we are going to start a cultural vocabulary revolution, we must start using this word more often. I've used it on facebook a few times, and here on the forums, but we must use it more. Use it anywhere you use words.

(You guys might wanna try to google it as well, because all that came up was results for squat, which may mean that there's some kind of filter here at work. Because I figured at least this site would pop up in the results, and it did not.)

Lol... idk if I would do that... since I was in Annie, I've gotten a lot of kids friending me on Fbook... or their moms. I haven't taken the time to figure out how to block what some people see and put all those freakin' friends in their correct categories.

WTF PEOPLE WHY DO YOU TRY TO EXP ALLIANCE ON ABYSSEA TAHRONGI MANDIES?

So I got invited to an exp alliance yesterday and I should have asked when he said Tahrongi, but there is actually other stuff there to exp on in there, so nah, it couldn't be. I should have asked and bailed right there.

I know from past experience that because they don't give ruby on WS kills, exp/kill for Pachypodiums tends to cap at 300+ making exp slow. I was in there 3 hours and only got 1.5 levels, my exp/kill having just reached 300. And I was on BLM, and couldn't aspir them either. It also didn't help that somewhere along the way our chest openers dropped off. (I think one even d/c'ed and didn't come back.)

When I started getting tired, I didn't resist and got the hell out of there. I was also the only BLM left (others were looking and couldn't find any) and the RDMs weren't nuking either (though one was lv 69 or so and couldn't have done much.)

And then there are the people who think that even a single ruby light is highly toxic to exp and must be avoided at all cost. WTF, people, You ain't going to get your gold lights to reach 600+xp/kill on nothing but pearl and azure. The occasional ruby is just fine, it lets you get the red chests with lights in them. It's only when you get the sterotypical "braindead I'm-so-awesome DD" who 333 his WS as an expression of his penis length and drops it at 10% on every mob so that the BLMs have no chance to get azure that there's a problem.

Actually, the most fun was when Tigerwoods and his paste-on dual-box heal started jacking a few mandies. Some people were screaming bloody murder call the gm call the gm. The only problem he was causing me was that now my F8 key would select a claimed mob. Later he would just pull 2 or 3 and go off somewhere else to kill them. And people were still screaming bloody murder.

Anyhow, worms = Superior. Or at least until the cap goes above 90.

Also, minor peeve that when somehow alliance lead drops to you, people start acting like you're the one who set the thing up and know everything... hell, I don't know, I've only been here an hour. (followed by trying to find a non-moron to dump it on)

Because when it gets going it's awesome. Last Mandy party I was in we were getting a merit about every 5 minutes.

And there you show your lack of understanding of how abyssea exp works.

Abyssea mob XP with no gold lights caps at 300. There may be another 10-50 or so for various reasons, but 300 is the "base cap". Gold lights raise your exp per kill until it doubles the base cap, and I'm pretty sure that you keep this multiplier even when you change mob types.

How do you get gold lights? From red pyxides. How do you get red pyxides? From getting ruby lights. How do you get ruby lights on a mob that doesn't give ruby lights from XP kills? Not very well.

Also, I was apparently in a group of gimps. They were killing one mandy every 30 seconds or so (yes, the whole alliance) with one or two BSTs pecking at another with Nursery Nazuna, doing hardly any damage until the rest of the alliance took it over. One even had Lifedrinker Lars out. Meanwile, I had the time to do multiple nukes for 50% of the damage on a mandy, at level 85-86. Sometimes I picked the wrong mandy (one that a BST was pecking on) and took hate. Sometimes the BST even Snarled then. But not often. Sometimes I was still tanking (as the only BLM) after the rest of the alliance joined in.


Which brings me to an anti-peeve. The designers of abyssea were geniuses, fixing so many job vs job inequalities in the game in so many ways. But here's one thing they probably didn't plan...

Apparently, for whatever reason, the people who would regularly de-level their level sync mules in northlands, etc., have stopped. Both northlands zones were under nation control this week on Sylph, and it's looking to happen again next week.

Why do people de-level sync mules? For some it's getting the right level for an Astral Burn. Abyssea killed that off a while back. For others, it's getting the right level to spam their favorite FoV page so they can dual-box more on their main. Abyssea's easy-mode merits and key whoring is killing that, without having to dual-box. There was probably also some RMT manipulation in there, but RMT have been losing interest in FFXI.

So anyhow, Nursery Nazuna jugs require two materials that are sold by Valdeaunia and Fauregandi regional merchants. They can also be gotten from gardening and guild camping, but with both of those zones under control, there is no excuse to be using an old-school jug at BST76+ when you can use NN. I still have a few hundred jugs and materials on my mules from when it was rare to see both regions taken.

It used to annoy me that SE didn't care that people were screwing up the Conquest system by de-leveling. I think they still don't care, but now they've fixed it by accident.

It used to be that when SE "fixed" something, they broke two other things and barely fixed what they were trying to fix. This is a case of the opposite.
