    ... and the only time I ever see Askar not quartermaster'd (or w/e) is when I happen to be on the way to an event or static night. Can't wait til my static peeps turn their head to this climb.

      Askar not quartermaster'd (or w/e) is when I happen to be on the way to an event or static night
      Or floor 20. I don't even know why. Askar gear isn't THAT great.

      Anyway, on Allakhazam, there was a post asking about the formula duration of Haste and the repliers there got it all wrong. It's:

      Time to Receive Haste Again = 3 minutes - (3 minutes - Amount of Time Before Meleer removed Haste manually because he wasn't paying attention) + (Amount of time before I Stop Being Annoyed by Meleers removing Haste manually * Number of times Haste has been manually removed throughout the course of the party) + Outside Annoyance Factor

      with Outside Annoyance Factor being Annoyance caused by factors not involved in the party such as a sucky work day or item I want on the AH being overpriced. But that's usually a small factor in Time to Receive Haste Again. The big one is usually Number of times Haste has been manually removed throughout the course of the party.

        Askar body, hands, and head is pretty nice for SAM... I only have the legs at this time though (wish I had kitty-pants and I hated having Dusk) Askar feet (floor 20) have no draw for me though cuz I have Rutter Sabs for WS and Fuma Sune's for TP.

        It's very funny to me when I'm told my Askar Dirs (legs) is "uber-gimpt", cuz I don't have "omgkittypantsIcream'd". Then I notice this "SAM" (like alot of them) is full-timing Askar Gams (17def, +30MP, +3 STR/AGI, dmg taken -2%, Enmity +2) ... "those are sh!t compared to Rutter Sabs/Fuma Sune's, my judgemental friend. Do you even macro gear swaps for TP vs WS??? What do I mean??? ...this conversation is ending in 3...2...1...bbye".

                        Dancer 69 right now and I'm loving the job in exp parties as it is as busy as you want to make it. Looking forward to finally retiring my nin in favour of dnc at 75.

                        Although, yeah, the rate of invites is rotten.

                                Biggest peeve in FFXI has always been NM's. My newest one specifically is Picolaton.

                                Pop times are 90 mins - 6+ hrs
                                Placeholder hangs out near D-11, E-11 but can wander a bit by wander they mean can go about 1 1/2 squares outside of that area.
                                Pops in the E-8, F-8, and G-8 areas

                                Now for those not too familiar with the map, the placeholder is in the far SW of the map near the "hidden" area. The NM pops just SW of Revelation Rock. So the only way to hunt PH and ensure a decent possibilty of claim is to have two people minimum. But when you throw in how often it pops and how wide it's pop time can be this becomes a very annoying task.
