do many drks macro in V.Mufflers for the absorb spells? I only use them as BLM so idk.

TBH, I don't know what a drk's 'solid' role in a PT is, that's why I ask.

My new pet peeve is ppl that gather together for events (like the add-on final fights) then 1 or 2 ppl disband b/c they gotta help a friend with something (supposedly) I mean, I redid my games and ran all the way to the Throne Room in Castle Zvahl only to be stranded like an idiot. arrrgh this is happening way too often

I'd go with: Making effective use of Stun, followed closely by murdering stuff as a secondary role. Seriously, full MP pool for most of the night and he couldn't be bothered to stun to help the ninja get shadows up. Neither could he be bothered to stun before the mob got off Cursed Sphere, which was dealing about 1,000 damage spread among the party.

I hear you on getting people together for events, It's like pulling teeth. Too often it falls apart like that. I don't know how the people leading events can handle it. They must have supernatural patience and a high tolerance for frustration.

On a similar note, so much for contributing to the war effort! Karugo-Narugo defense was going smoothly, 'til everyone present goes down, one by one, to the above mentioned NM. Well, I take my time(like I have a choice), heal up, buff up, and figure--

"Hm, it looks like I'm the only one ready to take him again, maybe I'll just kite this twat until everyone else heals up."

Well, that goes dandy, running him around the fort area while I wait for everyone else to get ready. At least, it's dandy until my buffs start wearing off--first shadows, then Stoneskin, then Regen, Phalanx... 'til I'm down to just Protect, all the while I'm thinkin' "Where the hell is everyone? They aren't ready yet?" And the whole time, this yahoo spamming that damned Feather Storm like it was Cracker Jack prizes. In motion, no less.

So I go down, typically out of the way, and here I lay, in the dust. No raise for my valiant efforts, not so mush as /t saying "nice try."

Course not... haven't you been in campaign recently? People tend to think small teams of 3-5 work best to lure the NM to the other people waiting for weakened to wear.

Everytime I say I'm gonna help someone with something that is when the /sh's I've been waiting for start popping up... right as I turn to go in my MH, sure enough... the floors in Nyzul I'm interested in... starting Nyzul level 1, Augment weapon fights, minispansion mega boss fights, or a Merit party looking for DD... there's always random things I'm not interested in, don't have access to, or don't understand cuz it's in squiggle writing... everything but something I can/want to do... until I say "yes" to helping someone... Last night I helped a few buddies with random things but right as I was running to MH to warp, 2 /sh's for Nyzul 80... something else the other day too I can't remember.

No, and apparently no one else on Kujata has either. All three nations have 1 or 2 areas, the rest are beastman controlled.

Ouch... Idk if that 's any better than Hades Sandy getting every zone except La Vaule (s) several times now and leaving all them mages blue-balling for Witche's Sashes.

And yet he was still spamming somehow?

I heard a similar horror story from Armando once, about Alpha Gnole Anders, the last mob standing in the opposing army, basically saying "no" to death. The thing was, though, every single thing that was able to in the zone was beating up on him, thus giving him a constant, massive feed of TP and, naturally, a constant, massive feed of just-as-massive healing TP moves.

IIRC, the Gnole had to time out in order for that Campaign battle to finally end.

One simple peeve, close minded people, I try an explain an be nice, but theyre are...well..close minded so theres never use to telling them, OMG Its a friggin game, get the F*** over yourself and let the people that pay to play do w/e they want, whether they get into a pt full of hotheads or not. There, I made it more simple this time, tho it makes me sound more like a jerk. O well :X Im actually very pleasent to be around.

Well you'll run into people that play a game seriously and for them that is fun. Just as, maybe for you, playing more casual is fun. I don't agree that either side should force the other to play their way, but I think both sides need to understand they have the right to play any way they want to. They each also have the right to refuse to party with people that don't agree with their play style.
