I swear to god, no one in this game is willing to put together a skillchain. I just took BLM to 38 without a single skillchain to burst on. You know how fucking stupid that is?

wow you found parties at that lvl? lol by then i had given up and was already solo'n blm.

Most of them were level syncs or mana burns, but yes I did manage to party almost the whole way to 38.

Soloing on Black Mage just isn't my cup of tea. I'd much rather spend the whole night farming with my flag up than deal with the stress of soloing and the inevitable dirt naps. I tried the whole soloing thing, I just don't have a knack for it.

Don't feel bad, neither do I. I hated using my blm because no one would exp with me. I was in a high end ls that wanted me on blm all the damn time but when it came to "Hey could we get an exp pt going so I can get a buffer on blm?"....chirp...chirp...chirp... Conceited elitest aholes just wanted to do things their own way and not help others out. So I told the leader "So sorry, blm is not available for ls events until I can get a buffer." It wasn't like I didn't try either, I did...over and over and over and over...I'm not good at solo so it took a long damn time and my time was limited.

ffffffffffffffffff got home from hockey lessons, was about to go upstairs and mom asked me to help her out with something that would only take a minute. It did in fact only take a minute...but I get upstairs and I missed Hyakinthos pop by 26 seconds, lol.

The banishing of BLM from exp parties seems sooo ridiculous to me. My LS mate was getting frustrated trying to solo, so on Saturday we partied level 55 and watched her Freeze colibri all night.
SAM DRG PLD BLM RDM BRD. We did almost 10K/hr, and it was FUN. I've been in WS-spam parties that did much worse.

I was actually in a PT with a bunch of JP players the other day, and we were making SC all over the place in Yhoator Jungle ... RNG (me) and COR setting up SAM for either Distortion or Fusion. We were just romping all over everything there, and we were synced to 30 through 33. We also had a WHM27 there, and when they dinged 30 we changed sync. I picked up 4 levels on RNG through that, RNG47 now.

What a crazy PT, I started with 2 stacks of arrows and stopping to craft more meant I needed to catch up, and I went through a stack of arrowwood lumber besides. I think it was 3 hours all told...

If I wanna run around as a MNK/SMN, or a WHM/DNC, there's a reason for it - I don't need your giving me flac on 'why aren't you subbing X? No one will party with you if you don't sub X.'

Why have the negative movement on it? I sure everyone who uses it is going to switch gear during battles to use it and switch back when traveling. It more of an annoyance than anything else.

It irritates me because I have a tendency to forget to put it back on. Maybe that will happen less when I have more then just the gloves. Curse those tiny taru hands.

Maybe at one point, they thought that was a suitable balance for being one of the few pieces of gear that gave Haste. But I would think being incredibly rare and expensive would've taken care of that.

The reasoning behind put certain attributes on gear is mind boggling. Like an Earring I once saw on somebody that had like 1 DEF and 4 or 5 Evasion. Obviously, the Evasion is the selling point. But 1 DEF is nothing. I wonder, "Why even bother? Did they think the Evasion was lonely?" -1% HP on Assault Jerkin? Was that even necessary?

I finally broke down and made a Town-gear macro for this reason... I got tired of running in my WS gear everywhere.

One of the ones I wonder about is Baron's Chapeau. I mean the entire set is geared to mages obviously but who wants a head piece with only 1 INT and 2 emnity in a mage set? Do you really want more of a chance to get aggro when you nuke the target as a mage? Why?
