Wow. What freaking morons. Whether MP is an issue or not, Regen is always the way to go for MP -> HP efficiency.

There is no reason a RDM 50+ should be constantly running out of MP...

Really depends on the party. If you are in one that has melee with the STACK EVERYTHING/DRAW HATE CAUSE I'M UBER THAT WAY mentality, it can be hard to keep your mp up. Lots of people think that once a rdm gets convert and refresh that they have a never ending supply of mp. Even an experienced and talented rdm can't keep their mp up with idiots like that in their party............

As said, it depends on the party, but there are PLENTY of terrible RDM's. Honestly I consider myself average(at best, and that's being lenient) at this point after hitting 75 and having to use this job for alot of different things, but it may just be getting used to doing new roles in fights. I've solo healed a party as RDM with no other source of MP/tick in the party before, Haste on everyone that needed it, and been fine on MP, and other times I've kept Haste only on the Tank, prayed for Convert to be back so I could have enough MP in other parties.

I've had bad experiences with NIN tanks, but I can kinda understand why now from leveling it, it's not that easy to hold hate unless you put forth some time and gil for alot of +enmity gear to compensate. Gonna stop there since it'll just turn into my own personal pet peeve of NIN tanking Colibri, cause that in itself can be beyond annoying, but honestly there are so many factors in a party and 1 person can easily make several other people work harder and cause downtime if they are playing badly. It's easy to blame the RDM or the tank, but the douchebag DRK popping Souleater and not cancelling it after 1 hit, or the SAM who waits till he's in the yellow or red to pop Seigan+Third Eye, are pretty much just as bad if not worse.

I've actually done that. I wasn't constantly running out of MP. Actually even though they were idiots I still had enough to heal them without "constantly" running out by just keeping their health in yellow. I only had to heal 2x times. They died because of the hate they were getting on purpose and I got sick of them. I actually posted about this bonehead party in this thread a week or two ago. I had to let the idiots die to make them behave.

After 1 party I had last week I have a new pet peeve:

An LS invites you to their party and acts like its time to fool around and you have to take it since their LS mates think they're funny.

I was invited last week to a Imp killing party for syncing to me. I got Imp aggro and died otw there wo reraise up since it dropped. Then the leader asks me to raise his THF buddy while I'm still weak and a Juun kills me. I'm thinking that's ok I'll make it up when I talked to the party leader, the WAR DD, I thought "looks like I finally got a decent party" as we laid down strategy (ie priority which I do ahead of time so there's no problems when I elect to cure the tank rather than haste the DRK right away). Set-up was me as RDM main healer, a Japenese PLD tank and a THF, DRK, WAR and SAM who were all in the same LS. Anyway, the DRK and SAM in the party were in a damage dealing contest constantly pulling hate off of the tank and making me Cure all over which was seriously disrupting my Refresh/Haste cycle. Finally I ran out of MP and had to convert mid-fight and the SAM died which they all thought was hilarious. The PLD was blaming me when Refresh wasn't timely and when I complained to the party lead he laughed and said it was alright they know they might die. Then the DRK died so now EXP is messed up because of these jerks but all the LS mates think its cool. DRK and SAM are arguing over who died first cuz that means they did the most damage and are proud of the KO...

Then the straw that broke the camel's back. The THF pulls and the DRK says "I'm so awesome I can do more damage than you without my gear" and so he and the idiot SAM take off all their equipment but their weapons and take hate. I'm so sick of it this time I stopped curing them and let them die. After the fact I told them they died because I refuse to cure them when thye're in a dieing contest. The whole party is mad at me, actually idk how the PLD felt due to language barrier, they go into a sidebar discussion. I informed them fighting gearless and stealing hate is a deathwish and I won't heal them if they do that. We continued and they behaved for the next 20 minutes until we disbanded. 1 1/2 hour party and I get only 3k EXP over what I came in with....

There's a big difference in running out of MP in a party where hate isn't bouncing around because your and idiot and use Cure 4 constantly and don't Regen and running out of MP because a party is full of idiots and make hate bounce around.

Playing sloppily and having people still tell you what an awesome job you did.

My performance on White Mage tonight was disgraceful but at the end of the night my party was all gung-ho about how I had done a good job and how glad they were to have me.
This seems to be an ongoing theme.

Some people like to give encouragement, though they may have the bar set low enough that you really ARE doing a good job by their standards. I end up with the same sort of thing at curling (a sport in case people don't know). Our skip will call mostly everything a "good shot", even if we put it right through or way short or something. I just don't want to receive empty praise like that, call it like it is!

I'm fairly certain this was a case of low standards. We were in the Dunes. There was a Galka pretending to be a PL (75MNK/24WHM). Also I had decided to switch from BLM to WHM since the party couldn't find one. It was a pretty weird setup and I think perhaps they were simply appreciative of the fact that I had switched to WHM for them. They might not have noticed, but I'm damn sure I didn't bring my A game to that party last night. Then again not having a total party wipe in the Dunes is usually pretty good for that area.

As you said, I prefer not to receive empty praise.

1) Defo undercutters considering I've been saving up for a peice of equipment for some time now so I thought I could sell my Noble's Tunic (I never play my WHM anymore) so I'd have enough money and the next day it turns out the Tunic's price had dropped by about 150k. -,-
2) People you constantly tell me to Refresh them when I'm trying to Refresh about four other people in the party, (in some cases) and myself when I'm trying to main heal and all the DD's are pulling way too much hate and there HP is going down so quickly.
3) When someone goes Afk or Brb without even telling the party so when we pull it's either someone almost dies or does.
4) People who tell me I'm playing my job bad when they don't even know how to play there own properly.
5) When someone turns up to a party with gear that is completely gimped for the level and constantly complains that when they can't hit, 'we're on too high level mobs' when the mobs are already like VT's.
6) People who constantly camp Korrokoloka Tunnel (Summoner Burn) and burn almost every job to 75 and don't know what they are doing and can't hit for crap or have really bad skills.

I could come up with a lot more but...
