Maybe that's because you party with some shitty mages. Guess how you could describe most of the player base.

I DONT pt, thats the sad part, I keep my buffers up on my other jobs (PLD,SAM mostly) through campaign, BLU I go solo imps. My SCH is the only lowbie job I've been working on, and its mainly had to endure lvl 37 E.Ron [S] pts -.-

My main jobs are WHM and PLD so my only PTs are sympathy invites from my LS when they can't find a RDM or 4th DD . Unless of course you count teaming up with fellow WHMs and PLDs to kick some beastman rear in campaign parties but that tends to get a little tedious after a while.

And the lack of good mages and bards on my server is why I tend to stay friendly with the good ones so I can actually have a party that does more than 5kXP/hour for once. The only problem is getting those people to agree to come Bard or mage...

COR tends to be a pain to level purely because I always seem to get invites on it when I'm not actually seeking (Even when I'm /anon it's pretty hard not to miss the pirate running around WG ), and when I do seek on COR all of the other CORs and BRDs come out of the woodworks and seek too (then vanish as soon as I offer to switch to PLD or WHM )

I don't understand why anyone wouldn't want to invite a white mage to an exp party. I'd take a WHM main healer over RDM, SMN, or SCH any day.

Leveling Black Mage sure is letting me get some quality time in on my DS. Two nights in a row now with no invites. Go team "not being allowed to practice magic bursting".

RDM + BRD is a kick ass combo.

There is also the general retardation of the player base that insist that what works best in merit parties must work best everywhere.

At merits sure, but I'd rather roll with a solid white mage at exp levels. This probably has a lot to do with the fact that I don't trust any of the Red Mages I've partied with.

SE needs to do updates to SC+MB. Like add an exp bonus, or an extranded time for an exp chain, or both. Will make Blms and Nukeing schs more popular (Which I prefer a sch would be than healing)

Most don't get those infinite chains so it wouldn't have to be that much. An extra 15% would probably go a long way. Extending the time between successive chains, or just resetting it completely might work better though as it would simply limit the length of the chain by how good the BLM is at managing their MP.

There are other jobs that can MB. A Pld can MB a Banish (Not the best idea, but still doable.). A Rdm can MB a Dia, or something or other. But in order it to increase exp gain, or the chain timer it wil have to do some damage. Like for every 15 points of damage, you get an extra 1 Xp, and an extra 1 second for chains. Its not that much, but it will stack up fairly fast if you keep doing damage. So a longer kill time, with a monster with more HP, and you MB it 2-3 times, you can increase your exp gain by a decent amount. (This is including the SC damage, and MB only. Not the WS damage.)
