Well that's what I'm saying. For all that stupid drama, the ring is not worth it. Overrated. Not trying to berate you, but the idiot who got all pissed at you over nothing.

I know Aks me and my buddy been selling the ring off for money (400k each time aint a bad haul, rings sells for 800k total and we drivin up the price ) and no, I dont blist people in my black book of death, for in case I see something i can fuck them up on, I can jump at the chance (yes im vengeful like that) and the fact that I'm a damn good BLU makes it easier to fuck with them as well

needless to say, I flamed the whore on Quetz's local forum and people are having a field day, seems like I'm not the only person she's pissed off, to top things off her LS just sniped a Dyna-Xarc right from under another LS's nose too.........its not lookin pretty.

Am I the only one who actually uses a Serket Ring? lol. I like it for my Elvaan Red Mage for the extra MP from one slot so I don't have to stress over it when swaping out MND and INT pieces in other slots with varying MPs?

Re that RDM I've seen so many people suddenly morph when they start endgame. They suddenly have no time or respect for anyone not in their Endgame LS.

<OF> I don't have time to talk tonight I'm going to Dynamis.

Like saying hi for 2 secs to a person you've played with since you were level 1 newbs together takes up all their time. Or even worse, just before they joined said Endgame LS they offered to help you do something:

<Me> Hi. I won't bug you but you know how you said you'd help us do Rank 6 fight? We still haven't heard back from you if you still wanted to.
<OF> I don't have the time to help you out anymore so stop bugging me.
<Me> Ok... Sorry, I wouldn've asked if you hadn't offered.

I've had that happen a few times and is a real pet peeve. Why are you no longer good enough to talk to suddenly?

No. I personally don't, but it's hardly an outdated item. It's just that it was the sort of item that caused drama 5 years ago. And lots of it once on Siren. We had a delightful season on our server once where 2 NA HNM LSs would fight their differences out on an online forum that was set up for Siren. One such episode concerned a member who jumped LSs and took a Serket Ring with her.

It wouldn't cause that sort of drama today, least of all because it costs a fraction of a fraction of the price that it used to.

Ah I see what you mean by not worth drama. I know I never would've been able to afford it before the prices drop. I'm glad I never bought one before it dropped. I still cry seeing how much I paid for my Lizzy Boots (I went 10/0 on that drop before breaking down and buying them) and what they now go for.

Price paid for partying in a bad party -6000+ XP. Price paid for a Hauberk 2 years ago, 300k. Price deflation of said Hauberk....Priceless.

Yeah, I adapt to the game as it changes. But sometimes I still feel like I'm back in 2003-2004. Like I know Scorpion Harness is pretty standard fare, rather than an elite gear like it used to be. But sometimes I still look at the AH and wonder "Whoa, when did that happen?!"

Thing that really got me was that whiny WHMs I partied with after the bottom fell out would say that 20k was just too much to pay for the scroll.

Myself personally, I love hearing the excuse that it takes too long to kill stuff on Whm or Blm, and then hear that they are like, lvl 30 trying to kill stuff in Pashhow/Rolanberry.

I'm always just blown away. There are starter zones people, and other lower level zones you could try farming in.

Also, it really doesn't take that long to get /thf to lvl 15 for farming, so stop complaining about non /thf drop rates and using that as your lame excuse for not having some cheap piece of gear or spell.

And yes, I will call anything up to 20k pocket change for a newbie.

Frustrations with playing Black Mage in general, and at level 25 specifically.

Not being able to nuke often enough because the front line can't hold hate well enough.
Not being able to nuke often enough because I'm nuke happy and overnuke.

The sneaking suspicion that I'm not contributing enough damage to the party(turning off chat filters to see party damage supports this theory).
Nukes getting resisted. A lot.

Main healer who wastes cures on me rather than letting me make use of Drain.
Drain not displaying damage inflicted, only HP restored leading me to more or less guess how much damage it's contributing.

Having to cover Enfeebling duties with a Red Mage in the party.
I really can't say it enough: Red Mages who don't enfeeble need to find a new job.

A complete and total lack of skillchains to practice magic bursting on.

The realization that I only got the invite so everyone else could sync down for a jungle party.

I will never understand why anyone would want to sync to the jungles. Those areas absolutely sucked to level in and the xp was shitty without a bottomless MP-pit of a PL, and even then, only good for barely two levels.

But yeah, leveling BLM gets more fun as you go up. I mean that both literally and sarcastically. There will be times when you think, "I'm going to get 54 today come hell or high water, plus a buffer!" and yet no matter what you do, you keep dying. Be it from the master turning as you cast your spell or a stupid resist or whatever, sometimes you will want to kill everybody with fire, which is ironically what you are failing at doing when your frustrations with BLM become apparent.

And then some days you'll get like 20k in two and a half hours and you'll wonder why the hell all solo leveling couldn't be so easy.

BLM is super fun at endgame. I loved my BLM, too bad I hardly ever got to play it unless I decided to just show up at a camp on BLM and let someone else make their way as the WHM. And half the time they'd make me go back and change to WHM anyway.

Yeah, I guess I still miss the game a little. But there's a lot more that I don't miss.

Yeah, Mandragoras do suck. Goblin Rangers, however, with their pitiful defense and sometimes suicidal tendencies . . . I can at least say that I am looking forward to that once I finally get to leveling Blue Mage. Either way, it'll certainly be better than Qufim, if I find myself having to go through that again.

The only thing I didn't like about Qufim was the overcrowding, but that really only became a problem after Level Sync.

I remember when I was there leveling White Mage (so this was after Level Sync, as well), and there was some really freaking rude high-level JP Blue Mage who'd just stand there and cure over me, making me use my MP for naught. When I tried to tell him to go away, that I didn't need their help, to stop annoying me, their response basically boiled down to "lern 2 play, :D lulz." I GMed that sucker, left the party, and proceeded to get killed in some corner of the island. That was not a good day for me.

And anecdote aside, Qufim is basically the new Dunes now, anyway.

Well... That comes with the new mood of the players of the game. Everyone thinks that rdm are healers only. But they are very good with other stuff. They can melee fairly good. Get a beestinger with an enspell II and haste with haste gear. They can pump out the damage fairly fast.

I've actually had quite a few good parties in the jungles. Had one go up to 18k/hr for 2 hours until the bard left. One thing I found out though. The mandies are weak to a lot of stuff.
