I honestly think that there are so many bad dnc in the game everyone thinks that the job must suck, esp those that blitz it to 75 gimping their way through.

When will people learn that a bad player != bad job. How many bad nins, rdm, brd, cors etc have we all seen? Do those jobs get tarred with the same brush? Of course not, because people remember the good players and the potential the jobs have.

I haven't levelled dnc in months, I've mainly been concentrating on ninja but recently I thought I'd give it that last little push so I can get my relic body. So far, it's been a big disappointment.

F'n Dynamis - Xarcabard... Had TH4 ... 70%+ Moonphase ... barely any AF drops, and mostly things no one has commented... even coins were less than usual. Idk how many times I've done this land now, but I'm growing weary of the northlands putting out Dnc gearz.

Oh... and people who talk out there ass about jobs they have no clue about. Guy gets into it with me (kinda outta the blue)regarding what a Dnc uses Reverse Flourish for... f'n TP storage/gain, duh. His argument was only that Rev. Fl. is only gaining you TP beyond 75 when it's merited; and Rev. Fl. is not by any means a main source of TP for Dnc after 40. If you only go by the numbers of Steps/Rev. Fl., that might almost be true given that steps cost just slightly less than the TP yield from Rev. Fl. He wasn't taking into account Dnc has a B+ dagger skill and a D Sword which makes enfeebling the mob essential just to hit and gain TP in most experience parties. So you must spend TP on Steps. It's essential. Then you gotta Rev. Fl. to get any of that back. Essentially, Rev. Fl. makes your enfeebling free which helps you bring the mob down to a TP gainable level and gives you a lil extra. It's a snake eating its tail. A loop of constant macro'n to stay afloat. I stopped when I learned that this guy (though 75 in several other jobs) had a 38 Dnc and thus no experience playing w/ Reverse Flourish. He'd proly solo'd and duo'd on EM's and maybe an occasional T to get there. "This conversation is done, call me when you level Dnc for more than just a subjob and can actually speak from experience instead of basing an argument from calculating job abilities on wiki" If jobs were designated #'s, Dnc would be given Pi. I think he was just looking to stir the pot cuz he was going stir crazy fishing.

Treasure Caskets in Sky are killing me...finishing off 72-75 SCH via Ru'Ann FoV on dolls, so far in 60k XP worth of dolls(see: a whole fucking lot) I've seen 5 chests, all but one only giving 4 chances, so I get 3 clues, all have been horrible, and I keep missing by 1 digit. Overall I've spent at least 10 hours a week for the last 2 months trying to get a Caract Choker, the few boxes I've managed to open haven't had shit in them, and of course to salt it a couple of LSmates have come up and gotten a couple it in less than an hour.

I love showing up to parties/events in my town attire that includes my Goblin Coif. I get alot of /checks and/or "wtf"s before the killin begins.

My peeve:

Departure parties. So sad when another buddy decides RL > FFxi... but it's {understood} ... just so much \(ToT)/ What reallly sukt the most was after the "party" we had plans to do some things for his last night and his PC dies and he had to boot his friend from their PS2 and attempt to play w/o any macros... it was a lil bit of a trial but he ended up getting me and another friend Rutter Sabatons as a departing gift. I'm pretty bummed cuz he was one of my BIG 3 that really mentored me in FFxi and the RL friend of the 3 that got me hooked on the game left long ago... only 1 of my mentors left.

... but maybe he'll be back... people come back to FFxi like it's a abusive relationship you can't get outta entirely. Next expansion: A Chocobo Named Desire

THIS is my pet peeve. Yes, I know you pay for your game but so do I. If I choose to not invite you or kick you because of your lack of decent equips or because you're play style doesn't match with what I was expecting, then respect my decision because its my money and its how I enjoy playing. There are times I get on to goof around and then there are times I'm dead serious, its my choice just like its yours. I just HATE the stupid "I pay my monthly fees so...." Ya...welcome to the club....WE ALL PAY THE MONTHLY FEES!

Klimaform has replaced Treasure Hunter as the biggest lie in the game. I wish I was keeping solid track of data for proof, but I'm damn sure I resist more while it's up than I do when it's not.

I'd like to see SE maybe make a tweak or two; so, skillchain'n is something more of the community wishes to do. Now I don't want them to make Sam even more broken than it already is by doing so; but, lets not make keep it as a joke... 4pts?? Seriously... My Blm buddy, would like to see this extended to the Mana Burst thing (idk if I've ever even witnessed one) to make higher level experience parties a viable option for all the Blm's LS's love to have for endgame, who must solo/duo jellychains. I don't know enough to speak on that really but I'd love to see my lil Blm buddies in xp parties again... Don't think I've seen em since Garbage Sh!tadel.

After all the Laaag I waded thru to self chain for a measley 4pts... /sigh ... that's just stupid.

oh.. and my obligatory peeve:

Dynamis Xarcabard - tho at least a few people got what they wanted last night (Rdm & Drg). I don't know how many mannequins are wearing full PUP and BST relic at this point tho >.<

Stupid fucking idiot Red Mages who don't know jack shit about their job.

I had an aggravating party tonight, I was on White Mage. It was half JP which made communication a little awkward and outright killed the prospect of any friendly banter. The RDM was JP so I was expecting him to not be a complete idiot but I guess they're still human and once again I get to remember why I have no faith in humanity.

His list of offenses begins with his efforts to cast Dia followed by Bio. I wanted to punch him in his little Taru torso. I sent him a tell trying to ask him to pick one:{Dia} {Bio}{Which?}. His response: {Dia}~{Bio}. I think he managed to figure out what I was asking and then I got something that I think meant he picked Bio so the DRK could use Last Resort...or something. This marks the second time I've had to tell a mage that Dia and Bio don't stack. I thought that was common knowledge?

Next up: Curing over my Regens. It's seriously aggravating to toss a regen only to see the RDM come up behind me 20 seconds later with a Cure II bomb and suddenly pull hate to the back line. It took him about half the battle to actually pick up on the fact that he could cast Regen himself, but even with that he was Cure bombing when Cure 1 would have been just fine on top of a Regen. Learn some MP management you damn Taru!

Oh, and let's not forget the best part: Enfeebles.
I think the only thing he was casting consistently was Slow. I ended up doing Paralyze most of the time and even Blind. Pretty often I found myself applying the whole set of enfeebles. When they got resisted, I found myself without any backup from the RDM. None, and god forbid they wear off because he sure as hell wasn't renewing any of them. Towards the end of the fight I saw him tossing out Slows more frequently than was needed, I think he was trying to bluff his way through renewing the enfeebles.

It was pretty sad. Here I am as the White Mage and I'm doing my job and his. All he's accomplishing is to cure over my regens.

Oh, and he was the party leader.

Sadly, most RDMs nowadays don't know shit about working with other mages. I bet that one had no idea what to do with himself with a WHM present. I see it all the time. Fucking RDMs, they annoyed the shit out of me whenever I ended up with one. I actually started to prefer only having a BRD and using Sublimation. And since we had Ghorns, it was better than Refresh anyway.
