    Farming Guide

May seem like I'm attacking you, but I just don't like how you reason your gimping.

Horomusha Kote is a good one if you don't like losing eva but you want the attack boost. And the Skulker's Cape can sell for 15-30k depending on what server you're on.

O-Kote and H-Kote are generally accepted as required pieces of equipment for jobs like MNK, SAM and NIN. Because they NEED the damage.

If you don't want it, expect to have some people complain.

I have looked at that farming guide many times. Its out dated though, and with the gimping of the markets that SE has done to so many things, its hard to make any form of money now.

I have tried BCNMS, cant do them as either some one does something wrong by not kiting a mob correctly, or I eff up and hit the wrong macro accidentally. Or, the items just give crap like they do when ever I try any bcnm.

The 0/20 of the hair pin though is true just like 0/15 on o-kotes. Then having 5 kills being taken by a random Drg that happens to wander in the room and jump the monster as you are looking the other way.

I don't care if people complain about my gear. Its what I can afford at the time, and its what I can actually get with out spending hours upon hours trying to get one thing. The pin, and the O-kotes I;ve spent 1 week on each, and just said Eff it as neither was dropping.

I play the game to have fun, and if people aren't having fun because of how I play, they can just leave my party, I can find another DD that wants to party fairly fast, even a healer if the mage is complaining. I've even booted people (Brds, and Cors at times), because they laugh at my gear and say I can't do much damage. Then when they see how much damage I actually do, they must feel foolish. I use food as well, so I am not totally gimping myself with out having the best of th ebest gear.

<Edit> I was looking at the hand items that you posted. They cost 630k on Alexander at this moment, and they are from the CoP areas. I have tried MANY times to do the CoP missions, and I keep wiping.

Right, cause that attitude takes you everywhere.

Umm... no, they'll go off to a 99% chance better party. Brds and Cors don't look for pty they are the party lol. Just remember when you need an event down the line and someone you booted holds it against you.

I actually don't regreat booting anyone at any time. If they bug me because of my gear, or keep saying that my damage sucks, but is actually above average, or what not, and they are acting noobish, I will kick them. I have kicked so many people from parties because they argue with me over a little issue, and they just wont drop it. Its better to kick some one, than have a bad time in a party because of one person. I play for fun, not to be the best of the best, or to have some one bother me about gear that I can't get ahold of because the item simply wont drop, and they continue to bug me about it.

I've never, ever been in a party where anybody argued with anybody over performance on a job. So if you're booting people as much as you say because people argue with you as much as you say, are you sure there is nothing to it?

I am saying there is nothing to it. If that is what you are asking me. I will not let my time in a game that I am playing to have fun ruined by some ass who thinks they are better than me just because they have a certain job, or thinks they know EVERYTHING about the game. If my fun is being ruined by some one, I will not let them continue it, and I will just kick them.

Theres nothing to it when your day is being ruined by some one that acts all high and mighty, or just starts an argument with you over a little thing such as gear. I havent run into anyone that I have kicked from a party anyways, and I doubt I will ever run into them.

While I don't really like making parties, when I do party with LS members often I end up being the one inviting seeking people to fill out the party. One person I kicked was a RDM, to whom I demanded only two things: 1) Refresh, 2) Dispel Cocoon (since fighting Magmatic Eruca). That's not much at all, IMO, since we were letting him slide on not having /WHM, not asking him to co-heal or Haste, and giving up on having him enfeeb since he couldn't land Slow or Para 8 out of 10 tries.

He did Refresh, but no amount of prodding could make that melee RDM Dispel when needed--not even when we were asking with "Dispel please <call>" in party chat. Begged another LS member to come on RDM, and booted him the moment the replacement arrived.

There's no need to argue over performance--the people who need to be kicked out are usually blatantly obvious. Watching that RDM *whiff* *whiff* *whiff* *whiff* with his sword and totally ignoring Cocoon and our plea for Dispel was just too stupid.

                  * * *

Stable connection for an hour. Put up seek flag on SAM--three d/c in 25 min--put flag down. Maybe my SAM is fated to stay at Lv.56 forever...

From what you say you must be not good as you think you are if you keep having a repeat of this said 'abuse'. Frankly, most of your posts are a bit, reminding me of MrMageo. Bonus points if anyone gets why! Also need a helping of cheese?

Not really a pet peeve but it was entertaining to say the least: I was in a party on DNC the other day in qufim, setup was DNC, WHM, NIN, RDM, MNK, and DRK. The DRK showed up to replace somebody and brought a RDM PL that he was 2boxing on with him. When the PL showed up, both the RDM and the WHM started meleeing, but they actually did a pretty good job of doing their jobs with a PL running about. I even managed to kick across a few Curing Waltz when nobody was looking. Ended up having to tank a bit since the NIN was doing something IDKWTF what it was though (Went afk right when the mob was on the way back to the party), and he d/c in the middle of the party. He came back about 10 mins later and said that his baby niece turned off his xbox . Ended up hitting 30 in Qufim in that level sync party that lasted about 4 1/2-5 hours and about 4/6 of the original people.

I did a few campaigns yesterday, longest one was in Jugner and it lasted a good 45 mins, ended up with about 2200 limit points and 1100AN, didin't you used to get more AN than XP?!

Quite honestly, I find it a bit pretentious and presumptuous when people say things like "I play for fun." That's the sort of thing people usually say when they want rate-ups on Allakhazam.

IfritnoItazura highlights the thing about parties: Parties are contracts. "You do this for my party, and in return, my party will help you get more EXP than you would be capable of getting yourself." If somebody complains, it is because they feel the party somehow did not keep its end of this deal.

I did a few campaigns yesterday, longest one was in Jugner and it lasted a good 45 mins, ended up with about 2200 limit points and 1100AN, didin't you used to get more AN than XP?!
No, if it's a long one, even just 20 minutes, I always get more limit points than AN. It's probably slower EXP to do it my way, but I always look for fresh ones that have just recently started, or are about to start. I just fill in the gaps in time with going to the bathroom, making something to eat or drink, or doing a Campaign Ops or something.

I play for fun. Which is why I'm always poor on XI; I already work more than enough in the real to have to work in a freaking video game.

But that has nothing to do with not showing respect for other people's time, be it in xp parties, missions, events, etc. That's just selfishness and bad manners.

It may be that your per-minute limit for XP has gone up, XP caps at so much per minute, and is twice AN within that limit. You can get more AN than that, but as your rank goes up, it gets more difficult to cap out (which is a good thing, I think).

Oh, and today's Campaign peeve: people just going nuts for Campaign the past week, I ended up mostly taking a break from it.
