For RDM (my first job to 75), I started macro'ing at Lv.10, when INT and MND rings were available. Oh, also switched in Pilgrim's Wand for MP healing, and Willow Wand +1 when casting offensive spells.

I don't know anyone who wore full AF full-time to 75. Random people in exp parties, yes, have seen them, but even those were mostly PLDs, and AF to 75 isn't exactly horrible for turtle PLDs.

Guess he wanted to see the Kampfplatte Armor Set? It has better Defense and VIT than the Centurion's Scale Mail Set, but I wouldn't consider a PLD gimp for not having the Kampf. Empress Hairpin is more defensive than offensive anyway, as it translate to 5%+ better actual evasion, which means 5% less damage taken.

I gathered that would be the set in question. at the time I couldn't really justify that amount of gil to play a job which I potentially had 3 battles to go if we got lucky on all 3 plus I always made sure I had the correct items and medicines plus animas then the battles become quite costly.
I had looked the Kampf set up and saw the jobs it is available for is limited considering I could use the centurion's set to lvl a few frontline jobs also "on the cheap"
I just cant wait to get Holla done and hopefully progress a bit further. I've been drooling over the solo gaudy harness thread for a long time.
It just annoyed me at the time as he indirectly judged my abilities based on my gear and then afterwards said I was quite good.
I guess it could of gone a whole lot worse though.

You probably could've broken down and gotten the Eisen armor set instead (NQ version of Kampf). I own that and have kept it since I leveled WAR for PLD whenever I decide to level it. I might buy Kampf now since I can afford it, but back then I could only afford Eisen. I don't know what the Kampf hands offer but instead of buying the Eisen hands I used the Royal Squire Mufflers at 30.

FFXIGEAR.com Eisen Set (You could put in Warrior Belt +1 for the Brave Belt instead)
FFXIGEAR.com Kampf Set (Same as above)
        FFXIGEAR.com Your Set
Don't mind the /MNK, I was on LSD when I started looking this up.

The Eisen set would probably be what mine would look like if I was to pick up PLD and run with it again. Kampf and Eisen offer about 20+ more defense which would add up with protect and food.)

My current pet peeve are these new Moogle Missions which are a complete pain from where I am "sitting".

Giddeus is pretty much devoid of life due to the lvl 75's running rampant there... I need Yag Necklaces for Norg fame.

I was at the Outer Horutoto hunting NM's with someone when some idiot one shots an NM in front of my compatriot who was waiting out the delay on his Great Axe to connect with the NM.

The persons who designed these missions obviously have no regard for us "mere mortals" (yet to reach a level break). It is almost enough to drive me away from the game again.

Peeve is as things currently stand something of an understatement...

Did you at least shout for a Recall-Jugner? Anyhow, in my experience on Fairy, nobody fights the CB there, they only go there for the loot from the BCs. I guess it's the NPCs who win the battles when the other six territories are under control.

This is at least worth the double-post-bump.

Peeve: people who don't pay freaking attention. So, I was doing Royal Jelly, and quite successfully, too. We agree to take the treasure from each of our orbs, sell it all, and split the proceeds evenly, the only exception being in the case of a Phalanx scroll, which would immediately go to the level 56 RDM first (need I say more?), and if another Phalanx scroll followed it would go to me.

My orb is first. Nothing but junk, although I quickly learn, and note in party chat, that I probably shouldn't leave the Whagrever Shrine if I'm going to collect the junk anyway to sell for whatever pitiful amount of gil I could get for it. So after leaving by mistake, I immediately reenter before I fall off the ledge-of-no-return, and get the junk.

Up next is the Dragoon's orb. We get both scrolls of Phalanx AND Utsusemi: Ni. Considering which thread this is, you probably see where this is going: I lot the Slime Oils (because I was getting close to a stack from doing that BC, anyway), the Red Mage lots Phalanx, the Dragoon lots everything else, the Red Mage and myself pass everything else before we notice that the Dragoon has left the BC area. I type as fast as I can in Party chat for them to go back, but it is too late. A 600k scroll, 200k per person, more than enough to pay for all my remaining White Mage scrolls and then some. Gone. Down the drain. Lost forever. Because some fool decided that "Hey, I'm arrogant, I'm going to waltz out of here without even thinking about looking in my inventory because I know I got it. Aw, yeah, 2/2, both orbs I ever used for this BC with a Ni drop. Hey, I knew what I was doing, when I said when I used my orb, 'Hey, I'm lucky, my first and only orb for this BC I got Ni to drop, and I kept it to use personally, but now when I make it drop, it's going to be a money drop!' Heh, I'm so awesome." And yes, they did in fact practically promise a Ni scroll right before they used their orb. And it dropped. AND THEY NEVER EVEN FREAKING PICKED IT UP.

                          ARGH!

                            Today's:

Losing Coyote coffer spoils because there doesn't seem to be a way to go back to the Campaign NPC area in (The Eldieme Necropolis [s]) to open it (without zoning.)

Unless the coffers spawn in a more accesible place. But I (and others in the same area) didn't find a way in the time before we lost claim of the coffers.

PS > The only reason I'm not that bothered about it is because I got 3080 xp and 2840 AN (+1206) for tanking the Warmachine (Jagidbod ran away after we destroyed his ride XD )

That happened to me the other day, but I hadn't been there long enough and didn't get the 300xp to qualify. I was stuck, but WHM/BLM has plenty of ways out. Others weren't so lucky, and their coffer timed out because apparently when the campaign battle ends, all the doors in Eldieme_S shut. I hit Escape, went back in, and went for the switch. There are no switches to let people get out. Instead, you get a closed door in front of where the switch is.

So where the hell do the union chests pop, anyhow? I've only seen them once, in Meriphitaud, by the flag after a defensive battle.

But my peeve about union is much more subtle. Apparently, once your union treasure has all been lotted and distributed, your union status does not go away until you zone or another battle starts. You can't turn it off at the C.A., and because your sword icon is still on, you can't get any XP/drops if you start whacking on normal monsters.

Gates open all around after a certain time, and you can click on Braziers to tele out if you don't want to exit the old fashion way by falling through the open tombs. Either way is kinda annoying but you can get out eventually (unless you aggro the whole zone).

Problem is with the gates at H-7 and H-9, those only seem to open during campaign, so you can't go back to check for coffers.

Coffers should spawn by the Campaign NPC, but I can't confirm since I haven't been able to check out the place after fighting on the other side of the area.

Edit > Located the coffers, they spawn right next where you teleport from the city, but still haven't been able to find a way to get back after fighting on the other side of the gates.
