If I pull hate on WAR, I just pop Defender and take some hits. I DOESN'T AFRAID!!! But I typically don't pull hate, lately it's just hard on imps mostly, because when you're not amesiaed, you want to spam your WS right away so that you don't lose the capability to do so.

That's why I don't play rdm any more. Every idiot and his dog has a 75 rdm these days and all the good ones get lumped in with the morons.

As for the brd, maybe he's heard of my Mithra (drk is on my elvaan). She likes to sub thf and kill few singing nonces.

Edit: As for the whole hate control with drks, it was never an issue when I first levelled the job on my original character many years ago. I learnt how to control my damage and watch my hate so tanks could do their job properly. I subsequently applied this knowledge to war and sam. The funny thing is as I've taken other characters through the levels I've noticed an alarming drop in the attention others pay to their hate.

Also sam tank (capped parry and eva) on imps ftw.

I HATED idiot DD's when I was leveling NIN and PLD. OMG they are your worst nightmare cuz they tend to pull massive hate just for the sake of satisfying their epeens. Who cares if you just did 1k+ damage, you didnt kill the mob and now youre an MP sponge for fucks sake!

Prime example, I was lvling PLD in Aydeewa and this idiot RNG decides to pull with Barrage, FUCKING BARRAGE! I let that idiot die a nasty painful death before I voked the mob. I could keep going but id rather not be pissy the rest of the day

Regarding the BST Haste thing, I think it's one thing for them to be lower in priority on the Haste cycle, but it's something else entirely to flat out refuse to Haste them. All it does is perpetuate the erroneous notion that they can't compete with actual DDs.

Now that I remember, he used Sharpshot first, THEN Barrage, I swear even if I had tried, I couldnt have pulled hate off of him.

So anyways.....Teh Bolt Marketz!!! So, Sunday Acid was selling for 25k....Yesterday it was selling for 14k, so by tomorrow it should be about 11k a stack. I normally would say nothing but I made about 6 stacks the other day and didn't put them on AH when they were 25K @_@. Bloody had been regulated for about a month now @37k, but now the idiot that was buying the ah out of materials is undercutting himself (MFWTF WHY WHAT IN THE BLUE HELL?!) so the price has dropped almost to 30k and possibly still dropping.

Tanks are always the highest on priority, but I'd Haste well geared BST using jug pets before other equally well geared DDs.

The reason? BST with a jug pet is the most trouble free DD for healers: Rampage -> Snarl is just just an awesome combination. The more frequently a BST uses Rampage, the less the healers have to cure--that Haste on BST practically saves MP.

Hence, why I didn't say "the only job". And most people choose not to sub /THF on their jobs.

But the statement is redundant when every single job above Lv60 can get a consequence-free WS every minute.

In an ideal party every DD would get their precious Haste but the fact of the matter is that in a regular XP party it is simply too inefficient to spend MP hastening low delay DDs especially if the BRD is giving double March. The average pick up group wastes a healer's MP constantly because they don't have the support to keep the healer going for huge chains.

The thing about haste is that is costs 40MP, 36MP with Light Arts up. Assuming that the party is Tank, WHM, RDM/BRD/COR and 3 DDs it will be costing me 160MP every 3 minutes to keep that cycle going, 200MP if the COR is using a Joyeuse to TP (144MP and 180MP with Light Arts on respectively).

Now I will be using Noble's Tunic + Sanction which is 2MP/tick or 40MP back per minute. If I have a RDM or BRD refreshing me that will be 5MP/tick or 100MP back per minute (I'd add in sublimation but the majority of pick up bards only care about Buffing the melees and never Refresh the healer so in reality I'm getting closer to 80MP/min back). If I have a COR refreshing me the most frequent refresh from a Evoker's Roll is +1MP/tick which would mean I'm getting back a total of 60MP per minute (though if you factor in Sublimation that is bumped up to 100MP/min).

Now assuming that I can get the 100MP/Minute back I will still be using up 160MP every 3 minutes to keep the haste cycle going in addition to Cures, Regens, Buffs, Flash etc. It's just not efficient MP-wise to keep an entire party refreshed. The recast timer for Haste means that a large haste cycle is very difficult to keep up due to it leaving little time for resting. There are very few parties that can support this kind of large haste cycle and the number of pick up groups that can do this are few and far between.

I'd probably try subbing THF on WAR if I had it leveled to 37 and I had a Martial Bhuj (YES DOOD!) With that being said, I most definently need to get it to 37 so I can sub it for SAM, BLU, and DRK when I start leveling them again

Undercut slightly by the fact that subbing /THF does not give you a "hate free" WS. It gives you a "plant hate on somebody else" WS. Snarl puts hate on the pet, so they are under attack in place of a player. But that's none of the healer's concern. That's not using up your MP to heal. Now, Pet Food costs me gil, sure. But please don't make me go to the other thread to cite the passage about how, at an event, gil is worth less than MP. If you can spare MP to cast a Cure III on somebody tha takes damage, you can spare MP to cast Haste on me instead.

So it's fine to let the tank die so you can get your precious haste spell? This is exactly the kind of attitude that has lead to me flat out refusing to haste for then 3 people unless the party can support it.

I've never seen a BST able to keep hate on their pet. Usually when a BST tries that they lose hate within about 10-20 seconds to some DD going all out or they just lose it back to the tank just as quickly.

Besides snarl is a "Plant hate on someone else" JA this time it being the BST pet. Trick Attack is always used to plant more hate on the tan kand guess what? That has not effect whatsoever on my MP usage.
