So last year, I used a particular mule that is cleverly named after my kids to get marbles with their birthdates on them. (72304 and 10706, if you're wondering) and I kept them as a keepsake. Well, I go to buy new marbles this year, and apparently even though those old ones aren't valid anymore, they count toward my ten.

STUPID.

Also, coffer fatigue ... so if someone else opens a coffer, how the fuck does that make me tired? I haven't opened one in more than four months.

. . . yeah, I had kind of assumed the other Dancer would be doing stuff that wasn't weaponskills, as well. I'm sorry, but at the time, a whole "oh, and the other Dancer needs to be using their TP for something other than weaponskilling" disclaimer didn't exactly seem necessary.

To be perfectly honest, I wouldn't be holding it against the party for bothering to at least do skillchains, but the method with which they could have gone about them could have been much, much better, it looks like.

But, but, but... everyone knows that skillchains are the Lost Art of the Ancients that can Kill Any Monster Faster and Better, so we must use them as much as we can!

Seriously, I never thought I'd hear of a party in this post-ToAU era insisting on using skillchains when they shouldn't. More damn cargo cultists. And it sounds like the chapter on Magic Bursts was missing from their copy of Vana'dianetics.

Then another linkshell member of course is doing Nyzul 20, and of course gets Goliard. Yes, those Goliard, the ones that have never ever dropped in my presence. Then everyone else tells me about their 3/3 and 1/1 and 600/600 and rubbing it in and I just want to kill people because the only thing that drops at all in Nyzul is retarded people, and PUP weapon. I guarantee if I do Nyzul 20 today, one of four things will happen: 1. We will wipe. 2. Nothing at all will drop. 3. Denali will drop. 4. I will d/c, only to come back later and find that they won and that Goliard did drop

People like this are why i'll likely never get past 1-5 on Nyzul .

Every time I do a Nyzul run I get one or more of the following:

The one idiot who expects all the mobs to fall over when faced with his leetness then whines the second a mob looks at him funny
That one person who runs off and aggros the entire zone
The one idiot who decides to pull a chariot then I''ve just switched to Solace and I have 9 minutes left on my Divine Seal timer
Someone who forgets to bring Oils and Powders
That one person who needs reminding that everything aggros
Someone who forgets to bring Oils and Powders
The armchair general who claims to have gotten from 1-100 in one tag but would forget his weapon if it wasn't equipped
Someone who forgets to bring Oils and Powders
The one person who hits "go to the 6th floor" instead of "leave so we can save out progress" meaning that I have to start 1-5 all over again
That one person who turns up in townwear/crafting gear/fishing gear/gear for the wrong bloody job
Someone who forgets to bring Oils and Powders
That one DD who turns up as /WAR or /SAM instead of /NIN then wonders why I never have enough MP to cure his 1hp/tick poison
Someone who forgets to bring Oils and Powders
That one person who can't understand that he needs to hit his lamp second not first.

People who , for whatever reason, waste 1-2 hours of you life and then when you get pissed at them they say "Relax, it's only a game!"

Example: going through all of a castle or zone having to sneak and invis the whole way and when you are about to enter, the guy your are helping forgot to talk to the npc in the city to start the quest.

My responce has become, "True, I am not upset about the game. I am upset that you wasted my RL time."

Also, regularly experiencing walls of lag in even the most mundane situations. I could be doing nothing but sitting in my Mog House an occasionally that yellow number in the corner will drop sharply to 1 for a while, and then back up to 29 again just as sharply. Mildly annoying at best, an inconvenience usually, but at worst it costs me a D0. Macros have wonky timing with how they work as is, but compound it with a wall of lag and I'm not going to be seeing anything else but me holding a bow while being wailed upon for quite a while. And heaven forbid I be working with others, as surely my framerate and macro responsiveness will drop to a standstill, and I will be the one responsible for saying "Ack, sorry guys, lag. =/ "

There is sometimes no substitute for quick precision. Running through a hallway of gobs, I maneuver and find a path that leads to a possible opening on the other side. Of course, by the time that I actually see the Goblin Beastmaster and his Bats hiding behind a column, BAM! The wall of lag hits and I aggro everything in the vicinity.

THIS THIS THIS THIS THIS! My ls shell holder was always saying this is a game so don't be so serious whenever I'd say people were complaining about our start times. When an event is marked as STARTING at 8pm est, thats when we should be doing something and not standing around for ANOTHER HOUR waiting for people to stop exping/doing other shit and join us. Then she'd say that she remembered who would exp or do Nyzul and show up late or not at all when it came time to handing out loot. Ya riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. The people that did it got the most loot. Thats because the people that did it were the oldest members and felt entitled to the loot and felt they could show up to shit if they felt like it or not. Ya, its just a game but my time is precious to me and I don't enjoy spending an hour or more of it waiting on others, especially people with attitudes like that.

I've been doing solo MMM runs for a bit. Went on one yesterday and I got hit with the lag big time. I wound up close to death, aggroing several lizards and well, still won, but it was close.

Then after I won I get a popup saying that my security system has finished it's automatic update, which I had disabled.

R0 has been rampant lately. Everyone has gotten fed up with the server-wide R0ing shit. They need to fix their damn shit!

Also, apparently, our events scheduled (except camps, obviously) are listed as 8 PM ... that means "Gather time." Start gathering at 8. I find it to be retarded, as you schedule a doctor's appointment at 8 you expect to be called in at 8. So yeah, that's something I've come to terms with, but now I don't AFK in Nashmau at 7:30.

It's okay, I did the birthdays again this year on that character, too. It's not like I can even show them off to anyone but I know that I have them.

If you or anyone else opens a coffer in a zone, and does not receive AF/quest items/map, then it prevents others from getting gil/random items from coffers, but people looking for AF/quest items/map can still open the coffer. It's to prevent RMT from monopolizing coffers I guess, but a better solution (in my opinion) would have been to make AF coffers blue, and the other coffers the color they are now, and simply make the respawn on Treasure-type coffers longer, like two hours or so.

But what would I know, I've only played this game for five years.

It's to prevent RMT from monopolizing coffers I guess, but a better solution (in my opinion) would have been to make AF coffers blue, and the other coffers the color they are now, and simply make the respawn on Treasure-type coffers longer, like two hours or so.

Two hours kinda sucks though. I like being able to open a Coffer every 30-60 minutes in Kuftal for 10k when skilling up and stuff.

Well I don't know, perhaps in some zones make it longer based on what you can get out of the coffers. Or still keep the AF coffers separate. Don't make it so that some person completely unrelated to me blocks my chance of getting gil when I only meant to be there for 20 minutes at best.

I haven't had the problem, but others in my LS and in a mission party had R0 problems on Sunday.

And those extra marbles... if the numbers win, try trading them in anyhow. I'll bet that if they prevent you from getting 10 new marbles, they might still count for prizes.
