Cerb really fucked with us the first time. That Magma Hoplon spam is bullshit. We learned our lesson quick: start off slow, fucking zerg the hell out of him at 25%. That doesn't make him any less of a bitch though . Things got really ugly afterwards too. 20-80 was mostly regular progress, then we started getting some really insane stuff. Kill All Mobs with Roc or Simurgh or Dahaks, Gears all over the place, Chariot leader NMs, anything that could possibly slow you down.

If I ever do Nyzul again I'll just never expect to actually clear 5 floors.

Let's make this easy, rather than assume the worst about every NA you meet,

Wasn't assuming anything... Really did have at least four "d/c shortly after level" people in the last week and half, plus other miscellaneous idiots. All English speakers. All NA players bad? Of course not. But, NA parties lately really do make me want to put "JP Only" in search comments--I'm trying to remember the last decent NA party I had on SAM that didn't have LS members and friends--and failing.

if the PT is not working and remains idle for more than 15 minutes - leave the PT to find another or go solo. You are not obligated to stay as you do not owe people anything.

It's not easy being party leaders; those who take on the duty should be given some consideration--like not have their party further broken when people "d/c" and they are desperately asking for people to come to keep the party going.

So, yes, I do 'owe' them something when I agree to join parties, in a manner of speaking. (Even to the 5 DD + 1 RDM + PL at Lv.40 kind of party leader--the /search situation really could've been that desperate, I suppose.)

Yes, I suffer because of my weird sense of morality. Yet, it's not worth the saving in frustration just bail any party at the first sign of any little problem once I accept the invite, and decide to give the set-up a try.

When the situation is bad enough that I do leave, I say so. No need to invent reasons--I'll just explain it if it wasn't obvious enough to all in party. Before resorting that, though, I always try to give the party leaders some leeway.

Not forgetting the incidents where you put the party together carefully, make your way to the camp, then receive, "AFK to eat for 15 mins ok?" or, "Mom says I have to go to the store back soon?!"

I think three or four years ago, a lot of English-speaking players in parties had to help mothers bring groceries in or move furniture while partying in Valkurum to Jungles range. Not so much anymore...

Also had a few JP players who kept having RL friends visiting--they filled my chat log with long winded applogies both before they AFK and after they come back.

Why do I have to freaking click on the NPC and go through all the dialog for each and every buff/item individually?

SE needs to make them shop-like so people can buy all the items/buffs needed in one go.

Fixed. Just because my health bar is down to 50% doesn't mean I need healing. If I'm standing by the book in front of Valkurm outpost, no goblin is going to suddenly wander in and aggro. And if you'll take a moment to /sea <t> on me, you'll see that I have a mage job, and not only can I heal myself, all the HP in the world won't help recover my MP, which is what I really need. And you certainly aren't going to get points for healing me, since there are no FoV books in Besieged or Campaign battles.

And as for campaign, when someone is talking to the C.A. in a campaign zone, no interrupt happens. Your healing spell just stops. And it's not exactly /blockaid, because I think that prevents you from even starting a spell.

I wish I could post the convo from yesterday, but it'd probably be better if I didn't because it is going to take wayyyy too much name editing. Nontheless, we ended up kicking the n00b from the linkshell because he was blatantly lying and it is impossible that anybody could be that stupid.

What started the whole ordeal yesterday was, the n00b created a linkshell and then went to whitegate and started shouting for people to join. Our linkshell leader was in WG and called BS on him since he was advocating another social linkshell while calling himself a member of ours. At the time I was helping a friend unlock Ninja in Korroloka Tunnel, so him and the ls leader went back and forth for a bit and then got quiet. Eventually the n00b said "Could somebody take me to Jeuno or invite me to a party?" (The n00b's grammar was not really that good, but that is what he said.) A friend of mine said "What do you mean, take you, aren't you a level 33RDM?" he replied "Yeah but I've never been there before." So this went down a path of "How do you have Ninja unlocked and not know where Jeuno is." he claimed that he had only followed people places before since he doesn't really have any of the maps. Mind you he has a level 25 Ninja via level sync, that doesn't have Utsusemi: Ichi. Eventually we started pressing him and grilling him like an old steak but he didn't cave in to say that he'd bought or was given his character. He said that he had leveled that character from level 1, but there is no way that he'd have Ninja unlocked and not know where Kazham or Norg are, or where teleports go to. He eventually got tired of me asking questions and said *is thinking about blacklisting some1* so I replied *is thinking about banning someone.* *Durahan readies the banhammer!* Eventually the ls leader came back in and the n00b kept insisting that it was his character, so the ls leader banned him for threatening me since I'm a Sackholder.

Why.....So.....Dramatic?

Wow... I've ran into people that do that too. The person has Samurai, AND Ninja unlocked and both level 40+.

He was spamming in the LS chat, and Jeuno shout something like this... "Kazham How!?!"

I figured he was a person that was japanese that knows some english so I decide to help him. (Not realizing that he bought the account. He didn't show his Sam, and Ninja until later). I talk to him in /tells teling him not to spam when asking for help, and he stops.

So we go and get the keys. He had all the teleports, and knew what they did (Which I found to be a bit odd as his highest lvl character that he was showing me as a lvl 23 Mnk.) We get back to Jeuno and he tries to trade th keys to the guy, and it wont let him. I ask him if he installed the expansions and activated them.

After about 20 mins of him logging in and out, he says he did (I doubt he even knew what I was talking about). He asked me for some more help in getting the utsusemi scroll. (That part I was really shocked as he knew he had the fame, knew what it did, and knew how to get it.) So we go to Kazham, and he heads straight to the Moogle. He changes into a Ninja40/Sam20. I ask him how he got the jobs and he said "When I bought the game they where already unlocked. Didn't yours come with it?" I was shocked at how well his english was with after his spamming and all the /tells with horrible english. Right then I knew he had bought the account.

So, we get the chocobos and head to SSG. He knew the way there as I just /followed him. In the SSG he didn't have a map and didn't know the way. What lvl 40+ ninja doesn't know the way even with out a map? So I turnleft at the first intersection where all the Sahagins are, and "D/C" I log back in about 10 mins later and look at him. "Sorry Connection lost" Kick him from the ls and warp out.

The next day I log back in and hes in a party with me again. (On a diff character though so he doesn't recognize me). We are in qufim ? Island at lvl 23 killing anything we can get our hands on. The part set up was Ninja, War, Sam (Me), Whm, Blm, Drg (Him), Rdm. We are killing stuff pretty fast, and getting good exp. We hit lvl 25 and decide to head to kazham after making the Rdms lvl safe. We go into jeuno, and the Drg (The account buyer) asks "Kazham H0W?" I talked to the leader in party chat saying that I helped him get the kazham keys the other day and that he already has nin and sam and all this other stuff. the leader just kicks him afterwards and we get aother DD then go to kazham.

People who buy accounts and RMTs suck. But its funny when they ask for help and get none as they don't deserve the help. People who uy accounts I just ignore them now. Although the entire ordeal was funny.

I don't have any problems getting Event skipped on Fov but, in Campaign my buddies* like to interrupt me when I'm trying to get Reraise after it just wore off. Does that count?

Well at least he knew what Utsusemi was. We even asked the guy if he knew what Utsusemi was and he said No. He was trying to blame the reason for him not knowing anything on the fact that he was on 360 and didn't have a computer. Which brought of a question of "Why do you have internet with no computer?" I'm sure people get internet for telephones and stuff now, but almost everybody has a computer and some form of internet. Felt kinda bad for the guy, but his last words were something like "See! That's why I made my own linkshell." and my response was something like "Why, so you can obtain the other n00bs? Please don't corrupt the other youths."

You need a computer if you are going to make a linkshell so you can help the people that you invite into it. Its sad when you see people like that. I want to help them, but at the same time I know theres no helping them. XD

Lol surprisingly if i read this i wouldn't have thought he bought his account (though the thought still would have crossed my mind). Since lvl sync it's easy to get to whatever level through low level parties (guilty of this for leveling my whm slightly) and not have to enter jeuno or kazham at all.

Is he quite a new character? Even when i was about lvl 30 i didn't have a clue where places were and i was lucky to have people show me where places were, but when it came to me finding these places by myself i still didnt have a clue. When following, people dont tend to pay attenion to te places they are at even though the should. Maybe he's just bad at direction like me? XD
