I have a few that has been mentioned already

1: People who tell me how to do my job
Bit of advice for all you DRKs if you are gonna tell me how to play my job at 58-60 please "MAKE THE F' SURE YOU ARE AT THE SAME LEVEL DRG AS ME!" i was getting a DRK in a pt telling me how to play DRG when he hadn't even unlocked it ¬.¬

2: When you are something like 200TNL soloing EP mobs from 1.5k tnl as a 59DRG ONLY to get butt-raped by a bunch of links sending you back AAAAAAAAAAAAALLL the way to 500+tnl

3: EXP Leeches, nuff said, got the THF to SATA an IT onto him while he was "afk" then got the leader to boot him >=)

I can't really argue with you on that. I'm not going to go out and hug undercutters. Unless they are undercutting on something I need to buy, that is. Those people totally get the lovin'.

Personally, I would have just removed him from the party. I guess it's a touchy subject with some people, but I don't believe in MPK'ing party members who do something I don't approve of.

.Also, as a writer, I enjoy the 'iel' sound in some names, and fail to see what makes it so annoying. And while some names might *sound* emo or goth, the bearer thereof isn't always of that group. Someone asked me on Monster Hunter once if I was emo because of my character's name. To this day I don't know what was 'emo' about it. It was Kaira. Simple, straightforward. I politely informed him that, no, I don't ascribe to that clique. My names on FFXI: Telera, Caeryn, Aelyn, Namae, Aeria. All more or less 'tossed together' as you suggested be done. I kinda played around with groups of letters until I found one I enjoyed. Yes, i like the 'ae' sound. As I like 'iel' and a few others. It makes it easier to create names when you're writing books to find the letter-sets that make sounds you enjoy. After a while it gets real hard to make a name worth a piss. Especially one you like and can stand to type over and over throughout the course of the novel.

O.K. I wasn't clear enough but my rant was long enough as it was so edited out some of my explanation. One of my mules names is Tiriel, I like the iel, I like the ae sound too. What would annoy me is Aeryniellindriel, Desmeyntierius etc, if you have more than 5 syllables in this kind of name you need someone to give you a good talking to.

Also, to clarify, it's not the sound of the name that gets me, its that these sorts of names are one of the trade marks of certain types of people I wish weren't playing. People who are obsessed with elves/drows *cringe*, pseudointellectual drama rpers who think that role play is being able to work words like wold, effervescent and disenheartened into a sentance....just no, please go away, don't want to talk to you.

Not really an FFXI peeve per se, but finally getting some time to play but being too sick (as in vomiting, sever migraines, upset stomach, etc.) to do so. I look forward to my miniscule playtimes all week, getting sick when I'm finally able to play the game is just cruel. CRUEL, I TELL YOU!

hhmm..remember when you were new to the world and you ask people for directions but all you get is crappy answers?like why are you playing if you dont know where it is?and people telling me to do my job when in reality they are the ones not doing theirs.a WM that does not heal?how stupid is that..

Current pet peeve: over usage of acronyms. To me, LB means pounds. When I see it, I don't immediately think "Leaping Boots".

Recently, I've seen the acronym TBT used in a couple of different threads. The context indicated that a specific zone was being referenced. TBT? What is it short for? "The Bhaflau Thickets"? "The Boyahda Tree" perhaps?

Please, people. Use some restraint when it comes to acronymizing phrases/names/titles/etc.

I think TBT is Boyahda Tree. I don't know why the zone names have "The" in front of them, anyway. Just makes it harder to find in the auto-translate menu.

I don't mind the acronyms for common zones, like CN for Crawler's Nest, but I generally will just auto-translate what I'm talking about, it saves me the trouble of typing out the entire name and everyone knows what I'm talking about.

I don't think I've ever seen "TBT" used as the abbreviation for Boyahda Tree before this past week. If anything, I would have thought "BT" would suffice.

I highly suggest people abbreviate that place as "tBT". Sort of like KotR ("Knights of the Round").

Or an even better suggestion...
