He wasn't AFK, I saw him run around when we told him to start pulling The most amusing part was when he, as one could probably expect, just said "Sorry, got to go, will bbl" and promptly disconnected.

And yeah, you only pulled one link, if I recall right. WAR/THF is a nice puller, but DNC/NIN with a throwing weapon is better suited for it. Especially when, as you had noted, the WAR/THF only had one stack of bolts

It's more fun getting them stuck on rocks near sound aggro mobs or voking a worm and standing there in stonega range

Edit: I actually did the latter on a worm to wake up Andrzej after we got slept while duoing. Shame the worms in that area were too low to use AoE but it was still funny nontheless

Not long after that as i was walking back with the LS members who turned up to laugh at the party I saw the PL sprint past us with about 3 banshees in tow. shortly followed by the party with more banshees following. Needledd to say we luled

WTF were they doing? You'd have to run all over the zone to get that many banshees on you. 2 pop by the lake, 2 by the tower and 4 by the ocean, I believe. RMT's possibly?

He was either AFk or on something because there was no way he was sober. I didn't mind pulling it's just when you're WAR/THF it's kinda hard sticking Acid Bolts when pulling since subbing NIN or BLU will give you a much larger AGI boost.Still I don't think I did too bad at pulling this time, I mean I didn't pull *that* many links

Actually, THF and NIN are tied in AGI (B ranking; only RNG has A), BLU has an awful E (same stats as RDM all across the board if I remember right.)

Either way the stat contribution from subs is very small, and 1 point of AGI shouldn't change your R.Acc much.

You can get huge stat bonuses from /BLU since spells give stat bonuses too

Had a party last night in Qufim island. Wow these people were too dumb to live. At first they invited me to a 20 sync on my WAR (currently 32, was 39 at the time) even though my seacon said no syncs below 25. I had a look around and there were no parties in the jungles so I figured I'd join and then make an excuse and leave when a better party come along.

So we started off wandering around the lake killing worms. Except the party was deathly silent. Turns out they ALL had me on /follow including the PL. So any time a banshee or gobbie popped you could inevitably guess what the result was. and well every time I even tried to fight a worm I would regularly be the only one even hitting it.

So the party for some reason got pissy with ME because apparently it's my fault that them leaving me on /follow got me killed . The PL whined some and tractored me to the middle of the frozen lake (56RDM/BLM PL wtf?). The party for some reason wanted to camp here and pull crab at Lv20 with no BLM and after I explicitly told them "I have no Acid Bolts left". Apparently because they had a PL they thought they could beat anything.

So they pulled the first crab, I started tanking it and swiftly found out that I was the only one even HITTING it. Seriously I never had to voke unless the AFK WHM decided to start spamming Cure III. Basically it would take a full five minutes to kill one crab and the PL would regularly run out of MP every pull *headdesk*. The party would yell at me for voking off the PL [b]even though I was taking less damage per hit than this gimp PL[/b.]

I ended up inviting my LS over to taunt these idiots and they got a good laugh out of it. Especially during Gobbie Bounty Hunter repops and when the Banshees appeared again. The downtime caused by Banshees were insane as the PL would just stand there fighting them with a warp cudgel. At one point the PL had to call for help and the party had to help him kill the banshees.

I ended up just making up an excuse in the end "{Linkshell} {Event} {Thank You} {Party} {See you again!}". It all ended after that right? Wrong. Not long after that as i was walking back with the LS members who turned up to laugh at the party I saw the PL sprint past us with about 3 banshees in tow. shortly followed by the party with more banshees following. Anyway I ended up just making a LS jugnles party and we did pretty well (WAR, WAR, DNC, PUP, RDM, WHM) and we pretty much tore through half of the jungles. At the end we were killing Gobbies at Lv31 with just 4 people (WARx2, PUP and RDM) .

This is why they need to make it easier to MPK people.

I have some idea what it must've been like. One day on my way out of Boyahda Tree a few weeks ago, I got pwned by Aquarius at the exit. It probably got there by someone running away from it. And it's an NM, so it doesn't depop. I was like "hey, a new kind of crab, lemme kill it.. wham, wham, wham, WTF? >plop<", because, after all, stuff in that part of the zone is usually EP to a 75.

Disclaimer: If you want me to pull in a party, there is a 99% chance that something is gonna go wrong. I remember when I was leveling Samurai and I was the puller in Garliage Citadel. I said before I started pulling that there was a 9/10 chance that I was gonna fall down a hole and die in the basement. I'll be damned if I didn't get a really long bat pull and my controller died as I was running back....I almost fell down the hole to my death lol but somehow the controller fixed itself and I survived.

This sounds familiar, not too long ago I had just entered there on THF/DNC and saw somebody dead not too far in. I passed them, then saw a crab entirely too close in front of me. I turned and ran for zone (flee was down, I used it getting there). I made it out, but it wasn't fun...

This is ME! I suck! I mean I tell parties this and yet they still insist on me pulling! Then I make a shit pull and they get in my face. I remember it happened on the 2nd pull once and some of the pt were yelling at me. Then another member said "HEY! How many times does she have to tell you she sucks at pulling? I read SIX TIMES in pt chat that she said it so STFU." I wanted to kiss him. LOL

During the RMT beginnings (before the crazy inflation, I was a level 32BLM/RDM), I went with a party to the crawler's nest. We notice a huge group of players sitting outside and we thought nothing of it. We zoned into 2 Soldier Crawlers and about 8-12 Worker crawlers. Our Leader died, and then rest of us zoned.

Someone from another party had the bright idea of everyone zoning at once and making a run for it. Well about 6 parties zoned...<Insert the song "Bodies hit the floor">. Most people zoned but myself and someone from another party (WHM) made a run for it. We survived and shouted for high level help. A JP level 60 DRG/WAR shown up and proceded to fight the crawlers. He started losing the fight...badly. The WHM and I started casting healing spells on him.

I relayed a message to my surviving PT that a high level DRG (High level for me at the time) is soloing the crawlers and losing. Have everyone zone swarm(old term meaning zerg) a crawler after calling for help.

As the DRG fought for his life, the smaller groups would pick off crawlers to ease the burden on him and the healers and subhealers would keep the DRG and other tanks alive. Everyone who died was raised and everyone from each party thanked the DRG a million times. As we were leaving to start leveling, he said (using the autotranslator) that there are people who needed a raise.

Like TGM said, "aahhhh....the old days...."

FYI: This was the first time I actually felt the RMT presence in FFXI. I still to this day dont know what they were after that the needed to MPK people in the zone then attempting to block the zone from people entering.

Most of the people who did that in the CN were regular old assholes. There were, and are, a lot of people who thought it was funny to shut down a popular exp zone for hours just for the hell of it.
