Playing Bard and not pulling.

God, Bard is boring if I'm not pulling. True, it's only Qufim, (can't really turn down 10k/hr there) but man, Bard is boring.

Ya, it doesn't get much better either. Same songs all the time just about. You could make one macro set for songs and thats about all you'd need for 75 levels.

We don't do that plainly because someone who lost a lot against another could just buy the glass to kick the winner out.

And then he'd be kicked from the ls, in ours. I believe in putting the glass in your bazaar. I've been in too many dynamis's where people get tired of playing towards the end and go afk. Then items are lost and people are pissed. To me I don't see much difference between losing an item because someone buys your glass or losing an item because some asshat has been afk for 30+ minutes and time runs out. BUT I can understand why some shells that are only Dynamis shells wouldn't do this. Our shell is an "all purpose" shell so for someone to do this, knowing they'll be kicked, would be a huge loss for them over a simple relic piece. But for a Dynamis shell, someone could zoink a piece from someone and not care about getting kicked out. There are 10,000 Dynamis shells, with new ones made every day, that they could get into so they probably wouldn't care.

And you know, I like camping HNMs. I get plenty of BG reading time between windows, and killing them is fun. But I really kinda dislike turtle. (And sandworm too but that was another post.) Really though dislike turtle because it NEVER EVER POPS until LAST FUCKING INT. ALWAYS. The other NMs don't do this shit. Only Turtle. FUCKING TURTLE!!!

What should've been a nice, short, 30 minute diversion from my campaigning turned into a nice, fat, 2 hour wait-a-thon out in front of Halzham Testing Grounds because people can't be bothered to be on time. Then they complain that we shoulda waited for them so they could go.

I'm sorry, but I was here when the event was supposed to start. Why do you get to hold up an entire linkshell just for your presence? Suck it up and be here on time next time. Warm up that bench for me today.

Whichever fucking idiot at S-E thought it was a good idea to add this to the game needs to be fucking slapped. Just wasted 2 hours trying to pop 2 coffer keys and ended up tossing both of them because I only got fake chests...

Amen! Amen! Amen! I've started to motivate people more and we've started events now closer to start times but there are times when I want to rip people's faces off. We've had inquiries from other shells about teaming up for Ein and we'd rather not. BUT then we need people to log on for it AND BE ON TIME. Some members will not stay up late to do it because of real life responsibilities so if someone logs in late and we need every man that logs on, ya....we lose people that can't wait.

This goes back to another post I made about how different attitudes are in MMO's nowadays. "I pay my $12.95 to play so I'll play how I want!" Well guess what? So do the rest of us and standing around waiting for your ass to get to camp is NOT how I want to play.

I think the <--- ---:--:--:--> in the hourglass description might give a clue. And if putting up the hourglass is a rule for the shell, then break the repeat offenders. (also for the abusers pulling someone else's hourglass to win lots)


Peeves for the day:

* When you zone with your camera at an odd angle, and then you end up zoning back when you move because you were facing the wrong way. Then you have to zone a third time to get where you were going, and you still have a chance to screw it up again. I do this multiple times every day.

* The stupid L3/keypad-* thing (lockon/heal) doesn't do anything when you have yourself targeted. Then 30-60 seconds later, "Why TF is my taru still standing up?" This is made worse by the automatic targeting of yourself when a self-cast spell goes off.

Those people are both right and wrong.

When you join a LS to do something, such as Einherjar (woot! I spelled it right! Been playing too much Valkyrie Profile, but is there such a thing as too much?), you play according to how the LS wants you to play. Or else you leave, find another LS, or do something else.

Their LS, their rules.

People who are late for roughly no reason other than they didn't feel like logging on for the event really irritate me. I am one of those people where I have to be off by a certain time. We may have a 2-3 hour event lined up and if one of the people we needed is late enough, I'll have to give up for the night. See some of my CoP mission rants about what's-her-name, Annabell I think it was.

And again, if you let us know ahead of time, I'm good. If it's an occasional, "Oops, sorry I was busy and forgot/fell asleep/whatever", I'm good. When it's every other night of you not showing up without letting us know and as far as we know, nothing major going on in your life, so we're sitting here thinking that you don't even care, I'm not good with that.

LOL that camera thing always happens to me and so does the L3 thing. Since I usually don't play mage jobs or solo too often, I usually don't hit the Heal Button, but since I've been playing BLU and BST it happens quite a bit where I hit it and have myself targeted and don't heal.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been playing FFXII the past few days. On top of the nightmare inducing chest system by itself (Just TRY getting multiple Zodiac Spears or Ribbons), mimics get pretty annoying. Although I have to say, I would love to see the home points in Jeuno start killing people for no apparent reason.

Elwynn, I'm pretty sure I got in the habit of pressing ESC before * for exactly that reason. No clue what the corresponding button is on the PS2 pad, but might be worth a try.

Having an epic battle where much was done and many things racked up in campaign ... like 45min-1hr in Rolanberry S. Thinking to one's self...

Yeah this is annoying. I had a Kuftal coffer key for a while and went to go get myself 10k gil, since it's not like I'm doing any AF from that zone anytime soon. I haven't opened a coffer for gil since December, but the chest was an illusion.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought coffer fatigue was supposed to prevent against opening 50 coffers in a row, not from just popping them now and again.

It's stupid.

Yah I hate that shit too, keys drop more often now, yet you cant pop them because theyre usually a fuckin illusion.

Another thing thats been bugging me is, when I'm soloing a mob in Campaign battle as NIN, the only real way I can get decent XP is by slowly whittling down the mob. Problem is, its kinda hard to stay alive and get some decent xp off of one when everyone and their mother in campaign decides to jump on your mob since they are too afraid of getting hit........WTF??? So now they feed the mob insane amounts of TP which either winds up with me dead, or very close to it. Go find your own mob sheesh! Only exception to this is if mine is the last one left, then ok, kill it LOL.
