We can rematch Maat all we want but if I want to solo the Shadow Lord or go toe to toe with the ZM8 boss, I have to bring someone doing the mission with me.

I'm not sure if this would be Illegal Market Regulation, but I'm pretty sure that people have put things in the AH at a certain price lower than the regular price to buy with a mule at a higher price.

This was a case where even a lobotomized gnat watching FFXIAH could see that the price was weak. The stacks came up infrequently enough that 120K was the price two months earlier when singles were 12k. What I don't know is whether this person was merely impatient to get a few cloths and stupidly flooded the AH with the nine he didn't need, or whether he was both greedy and stupid (a dangerous combination), thinking he could sell them back at a higher price, when the singles price was already equal to the stack price, and in decline.

The price of red grass thread hasn't crashed nearly as bad, so when I get around to harvesting again, I'm just going to not make cloths out of the thread.

As for Level Sync, while it's mostly a good thing, it seemed like the AH (or at least the crafting materials) completely froze for two days while the crafters took time to fight along with their friends.

This also allowed for crystal stack pricing to deteriorate into crap on my server (Hades) Stacks I used to sell for 1.5-2k now are 300-900gil. Sure, crafters are dancing in the streets; but us slightly newer players have taken a pretty big hit between this and the more recent gimping of NPC pricing. Newer players in my LS are very frustrated when everyone tells them to just keep selling "cry-staks" when it really isn't as lucrative as it was even a couple of months ago... like almost a 1/3 as lucrative.

Without ways to get fast gil in hand I am wondering if or rather when it will effect other pricing at AH. Seems to me like all the things I was farming to put on AH to make gil took huge hits; yet nothing I want to use that gil on has come down in the least. I'm wondering what the older players think about this. If they even really care at all since its the bottom of the pyramid it affects. I know the economy has gone thru many many changes. I'm sure prices have fluctuated greatly depending on updates and whatnot over the years I'm sure you all may have some insights.

It gets worse as you get higher. Of course, at this point, most of the things I am looking to buy are HQ items and materials for cursed items, and the occasional consumable. I don't bother farming anymore, now it's all about selling things that no longer have use to me, or making money off of selling R/E in the linkshell, ENM, etc. The flow of gil into my pockets is not great, but I get by.

That being said, things are a lot cheaper now than they ever were. I bought my Genie Weskit for what many people paid for their NQ Weskit three years ago.

Crystal prices on Fairy have basically recovered to the prices from before level sync. Actually, light crystals are running 3500-4000 a stack when they used to be 3000. Some crystals have had up and down prices in various AHs... my mule bought up stacks of dark for 900-1000 in sandy and what I didn't use for crafting got resold when it hit 2000. And while lightning was as low as 1000 in sandy the other day, it was 2000 on jeuno with almost none in stock -- other than my own stacks, of course. Fire can be as low as 500-600 and as high as 1000-1200 on different days. But ice is always around 500 or so because it's good for nothing but butter and mantles.

Mostly I farm clusters because it's fun, and I farm every kind except fire (weather too rare and crystal drops too common) and light. Has anyone ever seen light weather in Qufim? If anything about elementals is a Pet Peeve, that's mine. I know fire happens in Valkurm about 12:00 on summer days, and I wonder if there's a similar condition for light in Qufim. I've never seen a real light elemental that wasn't a summon or named "Maze Lurker".

I see them in Delkfutt's Tower often enough. Honestly get better drops of Light Clusters from goldfish in sea when I'm trying to farm organs.

I've never seen crystals as all that great a source of income even for newer players. They drop a lot more than anything else (except maybe rock salt and insect wings), so they're easy to get stacks, which means quick turn-around. It's a decent jump start for someone brand new, but that's about all they've ever been.

I mean, yeah, lower crystal prices (without a matching drop in other prices) makes things a little harder, but that's temporary. Rough patches happen.

I'm levelling bst yet again (on my mithra this time). When I'm looking for a camp I always check areas and talk to any other potential soloers there. If they're going after the same prey as me, I'll find somewhere else. I also try to find camps as far away from the general populous as possible.

Yet my last three nights of xp have been broken by idiots invading my camps for farming, skill ups or even because they're "bored lolz". These idiots have caused me to die on several occasions, for what? A bit more gil in their pocket, some skill ups they could get off better mobs in a zone closer to town or because they're piss bored?

Obviously to them, whatever they want to do is more important than my xp. I understand they want to have fun too but a little courtesy would go a long way. One of the little buggers had the ordacity to send me a /tell saying "Dude! WTF!" when I charmed one of his linked mobs. I needed a pet, I was killing something, whilst he was busy taking out 4/5 of my pets at a time with aoe ws.

Yeah.... I can see where I went wrong. I forgot these people have priority over me. Damn my bad memory, my age must be getting to me.

My pet peeve as of last night at 9pm pst after going 0/7 is Black Shuck, our 3rd Mega Boss to get captain. We were 2/5 on the previous NM's, but Black Shuck is a HUGE PoS!!!! F him!!!!

I been having the same issue when I play my BST.


I found my problem tends to be high level people killing everything in sight for a brown chest drop. The new chest system is a double edge sword. I love it because I get potions and other items that help me level BST faster but I tend to end up taking a dirt nap because there is nothing to charm.

Lately I have been sticking to dungeons because they seem to always be empty and have plenty of things to charm.

No, I didn't ruin his life. Just made him experience what not being able to afford college is.

The truth is, once he got up there, all he did was get stoned. He ended up failing the majority of his classes, but his mother kept paying for him at the school. One night he called me, and left a very pissy message on my machine that the reason he's failing is that I wasn't up there to help (read: carry) him through his classes. I told him to fuck off, but he ended up calling all of my friends and telling them what a shit-bag I was.

I can't afford to go to college, my dad makes about 100,000 a year, but is horribly in debt; I couldn't get any loans. So I joined the Marine Corps.

I didn't ruin his life, if you look at it that way. I stopped him from failing his classes, and having his mother pay over $80,000 in tuition. The school kicked him out b/c they have a zero-tolerance drug policy. His mother called me and asked if there was anything I could do to help him. Well, I wasn't gonna apologize for not being able to afford college. And I DAMN sure wasn't going to do all his work for him.

He'll have another shot at college, but first, after he changes his attitude. As a friend, when we were alone, we would just chill and play video games. When we were in a large group of people (think a party), he'd turn everything into a pissing contest between him and I....even when it didn't call for a pissing contest.

Anyways, yeah, I did it more so he could get a handle on his life, so he'd be a better person in the end.

Also, paying $80,000 for a Bachelor's Degree in what, pretty much is CADD is retarded.

True. However, since I'm merely a dabbler in crafting at this point, I still sell crystx on AH. Prices on Hades have definitely not risen since the Level Sync. I do collect em on a mule for a while before I sell em now as I have other things to sell on AH worthy of the limited space. I've made attempts at Alchemy and Leathercrafting but only low lvl. I'm plannning on experimenting with what I wanna do with crafting...

Rough patches happen.

I'd just gotten to the point where I could harvest that Gaylas Bat blood when they gimpt the prices ...BUT the funny thing is I'm making more off em now cuz nobody thinks it's worthwhile anymore so they're all mine... MINE, I TELL YOU ... ALL MINE !!!

MPKers in campaign. it's getting ridiculous now since you can't do a thing in Eldieme [S] without some moron pulling a hoarde of mobs into the main room and causing mass deaths.

I'll be fighting an Imp or Orc and some idiot will bring a train of mobs to the people bashing the fort. Bonus jerkass points if they bring back stuff that aren't campaign mobs and so cause people to lose levels. They all die and since I'm either nearby soloing an Imp or fighting something that links with the mobs I get trampled seconds after. Do these people not understand the difference between "Soloing WHM" and "AFK fort bashing Tard"?

Of course when this happens I can't RR because the room is full of mobs that will kill me the second I RR. I can't HP because then I will lose all my exp which could have gone towards a merit. peoplecan't raise me because of all of the orcs. The people who CAN raise the others are stuck at the top of the stairs to avoid a quick, painful death from the orcs in the room and everyone gets annoyed because nobody RR and/or can get any exp.

Every time I go to Eldieme [S] now the floor area is full of orcs and corpses while there is always a huge crowd of people at the top of the stairs who can't do a damn thing until a SMN or BST happens by to pet pull so we don't get massacred by links.

Anyone else run into these idiots? or have I just been really unlucky. GM calls do nothing as I've never had a response from one

And they wonder why nobody reported the dupe bug to the GMs... I for one wouldn't even know how without a bit of research. And if they won't even respond when someone is repeatedly greifing, that's even worse.

While I won't pretend to understand how the MPK works to someone without tags on (non-campaign mobs should despawn, and campaign mobs shouldn't attack you until you do something to get hate first), fortunately nobody on Fairy is doing this. I've been trying to do a bit of that tard fort bashing in CN myself (semi-afk) since Eldieme is under sandy control this week, and I when I have to take a sacrifice KO to get to a fort point, I know if I pulled the turtles too far I could easily MPK one of the five other people in the zone with tags on.

I try to put something up for sale, and lo and behold, the price drops 20-50k, but holy shit, look at me trying to buy something and it goes up 100k+. Seriously what the fuck. I'm sick of this shit. I see something selling for 100k, so I put it up for 96ish, and it goes down to 80 in two days.

Fucking impatient bastards, STOP IT.

And as far as this price raising shit, stop that, too. God damn it. How does something that was selling for 90k all of a sudden cost 300k? Seriously?!?! I have the money that's not the problem, it's the fucking principle. Why do people pay this inflated bullshit. God damn, if people would just fucking STOP BUYING GIL this would stop being an issue.
