First off, for some reason it was hard for me to find a party on blm for about 15 levels, so I tried to make the parties. And I cannot stand people that are seeking not respond to you at all, either by ignoring you or going afk. I hate getting a full party together then every tank ignores me!

Yeah, same thing has happened to me

For a long stretch, I just made my own parties, and at least half of the people seeking wouldn't respond to me.

/\ - that is my biggest peeve with this game... I am not even past the "playonline" screen yet but from what I can see I am going to be bombarded with this mess untill I learn to translate it....

/sea all XX <---- search function to search for all xx in the server (xx being a job, level or something else). Players have to be online and not have /anon enabled. /anon hids your character level, nation, and rank from other players.

RDM Comment: Random info <---- Search comment that appears when a player inputs a message on the Search comment window that it's viewed by people using the search function. RDM = Red Mage

/t RDM PT {Do you need it?} <----- /t = Tell command you use /t name to send a private message to another player, PT = Party, {Do you need it} = Auto translated phrase that appears translated to the language the player's client is.

/wait <---- macro command to add a wait /wait (insert number of seconds)

RDM Comment: JP PT ONRY (not there before) <--- JP PT ONRY = Japanese party only, used because many Japanese players think English (NA) speaking players either suck or simply they don't wanna struggle with the language barrier, so they will not party with anyone who doesn't speak Japanese

(NA comes for North American, although players use NA to refer of any english speaking player regardless where they are from, strangely enough).

DD whm = lol(insert random dd job here) invites >>; <.<; Seriously, be nice to get an invite once in a while that'll be just "DD whm yes please" just to take a break from the cure and go in with the almighty Hexa Strike v.v;;;

Now i know, the typical response is "DD whm no thanks" but still, be nice to go into a merit party that isn't all tp burn >>; Fast exp = zzZzzzZZzz. An average tp burn usually makes me use like 300 mp for 4 fights on a 3 person haste cycle with Regen III on the tank or person who takes hate alot. So yea >>; ZzzzZzzz until we see mini-Guivre come in and paralyze ppl and then he does that dread shrik the moment i Divine seal for paralyna v.v;

That statement is probally why ppl don't want dd whm, yet who says we have to go to Mamoo ja staging point, why not Halvang? Roaming there is just as good exp as Mamoo ja Staging point, safer and you get fire crystals, yay something worth gilz. Or go back to Bibiki Bay's emo goblins for some fun? Throw in a Hexa opening/closing of light and Banish 3 to mb and thats some good dmg by a whm done there.

Last note <.< >.>; Anyone else thinks mentalitly issues when trying new stuff for merits a peeve?

People who don't see the value in preparation. I'm trying to organize some Promy runs for folks in my LS who don't have them yet (including myself), but I am encountering a lot of resistance with regard to meds, anima and the like. It's very frustrating.

That bugs me too. What I really hate is when I help someone out by tossing them a cure and a protect, and then a few minutes later (once they've finished fighting) they send me a tell asking me to PL them. Why do they assume that because I saved their ass once I'm going to spend hours of my life doing it?

My biggest pet peeve is the fact that I have to use Playonline every single time I want to play. Why not just be able to click on an icon and go straight to FFXI?!?

Also, I wish that I could have used choco/airship sooner. Walking from one place to another for 30-45 minutes is not my idea of entertaining. Especially when I only have like 2 hours a day to play, tops.

Maybe he meant using it at lower level (chocobo) and rank without spending gil? I dunno, I'm bored right now.

Because there are more PlayOnline games then just FFXI and the POL viewer works as a unified entry to them. It also works as a way to distribute information and messages to players before they get into the game.
