Well, it was kited, but I ended up tanking last Omega as RDM/DRK because our tanks sometimes fail lol.

Fuck that, if I'm on RDM, I don't trust my WHMs, and if I'm on WHM, I don't trust my RDMs. Everyone only looks out for their own damn safety (which is retarded, my safety directly affects yours, in that if you let me die, you might be next) and I have learned to watch my own ass.

Blink actually has a surprisingly low recast timer, if you get lucky on shadows eating hits you can survive for a pretty good while by just spamming Blink/SS.

Yeah I mean after CS, you can generally just sit and spam Blink and toss in SS whenever timer is up. I also make sure to make a beeline for directly behind the PLD and start spamming them in /t's to cover me, lol.

No lag from the people running around, and no chances of random "I cast Protect on everyone to skill up enhancing" people breaking my synths.

And I favor synthing in the open, I've got nothing to hide! Besides, it lets me do more tests on factors that increase HQ synths.

It's still possible to catch a crafter with a spell, if you start casting before they start synthing, and it will still result in an instant break. But that's what /blockaid is for.

One of the reasons that I don't mention that I have a lvl 45 Rdm when the LS does under lvl 50 cap events.

Plus I just don't carry the gear for it anymore.

This is why I generally dislike NIN tanks in general especially on WHM. At least PLD can 2 hour and spam Sentinel, voke, Shield Bash, cures and Flash to get hate back pretty quickly if the time comes when you have to take hate or risk losing the tank. If you've got a NIN tanking you had better pray that one of the DDs can rip hate and be able to tank it. SAM and RNG(RNG/NIN spamming Bloody Bolts) tend to be good at this actually.

Not saying that NIN is a bad tank at all. It's just in a pick up group I find myself not trusting anyone to keep me safe so I can keep everyone healed up nicely like Aksannyi or TGM said eariler. Actually in my last party it was a WHM/SCH + RDM/BLM backline and the only time the melees seemed to care that were there were the times when we took hate either out of necessity (lolCure IV bomb) or by accident (usually a mistarget when everyone starts getting tired or a Repose getting resisted on an add) or a plain "Are they even paying attention moment" like the RNG pulling just as I start casting DS+Cure IV on the tank (We all laughed at it later because of how hilarious it looked from thier side but still). Or better yet the RNG pulling just as the RDM hit Stoneskin + Convert and when the NIN's voke timer had about 25 seconds left on it. You wouldn't belive how fast a Magmatic Eruca can tear through Stoneskin if left alone.

My newer one is people using kclub in Campaign. I will be tanking an orc on my drg and some war/nin/whm or whatever will use it and I get slammed with tp moves one after another. I usually just Super Jump and let them tank it.

If I had a k-club, I wouldn't really mind tanking for a while ... the problem is when you start running out of MP, have too much hate, and people won't let you save yourself!

Of course, that brings up another Campaign peeve, people who think a slept mob means "attack this" and make no effort to keep it from going to kill the person who did the sleeping...

Leveling THF is pretty killer it seems, even post level-sync. The last 3 nights I've lfg for 4 hours a pop, Monday and last night I got invites at like 15 minutes before I should have gone to bed, then the parties were terrible and I was up til 2am both nights, having resulted in a total of 2 levels(41-42). Tuesday I just got no bites at all.

Both parties had absolutely noone but me using food, but last night took the cake because we were sort of overcamping due to crowded camps, we had an underleveld WAR who used no food, started with dual axes using Gale Axe every 8-10 minutes when he actually got TP, then moving to GAxe 10 minutes before the end of the part and of course only using Failwind. I really wish I had a parser, but I honestly do not feel that there is any possible way that I did less than 40-50% of the total damage in the party. The fights were lasting so long that I was getting 2 normal SATAs and a SATAVB off each mob.

I don't mind the long lfg times since that comes with the job, and I'm not even asking for exotic things like a BRD or a COR in the party, I just want one good party where everyone uses food and we chain relatively well.
