HA - yeah was on my way to a sync party in CN and just as I arrived at camp the leader hits Sync - and the three of us who were already at camp die because the 75 SAM and 75 PLD were "just having fun" killing TW Worker Crawlers - that just became IT++.... and we lose all buffs and then its all "OMG its eating my Face"!!!!

Please wait until you are AT camp and the party is READY before hitting Sync folks...

Ya this made me laugh too when you talked about it before. Oh the stories you'll have to tell to your grandkids! LOL

I had a party last night on Warrior, setup @ lvl 73 level sync, setup was RDM,WHM,WAR,RNG,RNG,THF. Of course I'm a little scared since our RDM leader who is JP setup the party and didn't let me know I was tanking until I joined the party and realized I was the only possible tank there lol. At the time I'm WAR/SAM and he kindly asked me to switch to /NIN, then I'm like dang, I left my Dual Wield axes inside storage. So I say oh well they'll have to deal with me and Foolkiller today. So we go to the Nyzul Isle >> Caedarva Mire camp and fight Imps where I was doing a pretty good job of keeping the Imps at bay but it was pretty easy saying we had massive DD capabilities with the 2 RNGs pwning. We chained 5 every time up until one of the RNGs left and the other one went AFK.

During this time we were waiting on the RNG1's replacement who was a BLU to show up. Me and the THF were pwning and somehow managed to chain 5 by ourselves while the RDM and WHM were healing. RNG came back from afk around the time we hit Chain 5 and we finished that chain. When the BLU showed up a few mins later, the WHM says "If I miss a Silena, let me know and I'll Silena you, I'm trying to watch the game." IMO that was kinda like me saying "If I don't provoke right away yell OMFG VOKE, and I'll voke, I'm trying to watch Heroes and Chuck." So me trying to be funny I say "Oh who's playing?" to which he replied "Vikings on one channel and Sox on the other channel". As the party went on I started realizing that we weren't getting alot of Protectra/Shellra and the RDM was doing the majority of the healing/support magic. Pretty much after awhile everybody was getting Silena cept me since the WHM was supposed to be kicking a silena my way, while the RDM was helping everybody else. (Good thing I had some Echo Drops in my inventory) So me being polite because I wanted to get 75 last night lol, would just politely say Silenced and the RDM would Silena me. We did very well up until the BLU dinged 75 and left the party to call another BLU to replace him, who must've gotten lost along the way because when I ran a search for his name he was definently in Azadaal Ruins. We kept fighting during this time until we got to a point where we got a Nuke Crazy Imp, that was casting Firaga, massive Amnesia, and Silence. When the RDM tried to Cure IV us it immediately ran after her and there wasn't anything I could do with Amnesia other than chase the mob down which I did. Everybody due to repeated -aga magic and sleepga dropped to less than 50% HP and all I had was 180 HP which dropped to 170 because of Blaze Spikes. We killed the Imp and nobody died but I was definently pissed at the WHM who went AFK and said nothing. I think the WHM had been leeching XP for at least 20 mins, probably about 30 at the most. After the RDM healed everyone he said {White Mage}{Away}{Long Time}? Since nobody said or knew anything about what happened to the WHM, the RDM disbanded the party.

Another time I was partying in Qufim in a Level Sync party, I forget what jobs were there, but I remember I was BLU. Our main healer wasn't doing much and most of the healing fell on the secondary healer and a DNC in the party. Everytime somebody would say something to the main healer he'd say "You guys are doing a good job" (Pretty much without you doing anything.) Eventually 2 of our peeps left the party and a DRG and his wife who was a DNC showed up. DRG was made leader since our leader left and the DRG said something along the lines of "I dont think the mage is doing anything" so we went inside Delkfutt's tower and the mage never made it in, he had went afk and said nothing so he'd been leeching XP for a good 20 mins and possibly longer. DRG kicked him for leeching.

If you aren't gonna do your job and just leech XP because you think somebody is gonna do it for you, then you should go solo lol or ask to be dropped from the party.

This is exactly the reason why I usually flat out refuse to level sync with people not in my LS or my friend's list which is what the feature designed for in the first place, not so someone can sit there AFK while leeching. Leechers and those burn elitists who try to do a burn in a party and/or camp that cannot support one at all ruin everything about level synch.

Although I am perfectly willing to give exceptions to that, especially if I've partied with someone out of that party before. A few weeks back I main healed a Japanese level synch party which was pretty fun even if we could barely understand each other. The same people invited me to another level synch party last week so I guess they must have been pleased with my WHMing.

That's always cool, when you can get in a good party with peeps that party well together and then get invited back later on usually happens alot when there are static groups and such. I remember this one time I had got invited to a party that had basically went on all day and had 2-3 members of the original party still in it. A short while later our tank left so of course the tank from the original party about 2 hours earlier logs back on in the same area as us and joins up lol. It was a funny coincidence. This was before the level sync was invented, and I think by this time we were all the same level or close to it.

It would be awesome if....Since you can add friends to your friend list, if they had a "Party List" feature which you could save awesome parties to and it'd list the people's current level and job and if they are online so you can contact the same peeps for party again on those same jobs if you had fun partying with them. Now with the level sync, this would make that feature even more awesome so you can party at the lowest person's level. You could also send "Party?" tells to all of those people to the party at the same time and mass invite as well. Instead of "You were invited to *Name's* party." It would say "You have received an invitation to a friend Party Reunion." or something to that effect.

I've been harping on this idea for years. The Friend's List should be able to be organized just like my IM list. You could make individual sections for different groups; HNM ls, Social LS, Friends, Static Party, etc. People have Friend's Lists that are a mile long and often wonder "Who the hell is this person?" and then usually end up deleting them.

We believe he knows exactly what he's doing, he's a shady, greedy person and not really a good enough player to hold onto at all, more than anything we're just hoping that when we don't let him lot BLU body he'll leave on his own so we don't look like the bad guys, but I consider him a risk of ninja lotting certain items if he stays after this point.

At this point I'm willing to just boot and blist him and tell those who don't like it to shut the fuck up, lately it's getting to the point where we have more dead weight than good players and half the shit we do I think we'd be more successful with our 12 best than with 20+ including all the gimps, whiners, and lootwhores. The shellholder is trying to end things diplomatically, so kind of waiting for either this guy to leave or for him to just greenlight me doing it my way.

If you call yourself officers then act like officers! There is no need to explain to anybody why he's been kicked. If it is obvious to you that he is forever bs'ing, then it will be obvious to everybody. Simple as that.

The BRD just kept pulling and sleeping mobs next to us, which is great when you have Refresh and Ballad and stuff, but eventually we just ran out of MP and the BRD just kept pulling. Of course we wiped. Yes the BRD was 75. Yes I feel a bit depressed by the whole thing.

This isn't because of Level Sync, its always been a problem in FFXI.

People always try to apply the high level tactics and logic to low levels, even when lacking the Job Abilities, spells or equipment to make them happen. Because certain jobs aren't deemed useful at endgame, they're still treated like lepers at EXP levels when they can be an asset to PTs just as much as anywhere else.

We just have a lot of people with shit for brains at 75 who happen to think they're awesome at what they do. They don't know how to build PTs and they don't understand the mechanics of the game, they just know the gist of what other people posting parsers tell them.

Which is why I would rather exp with people from my LS and friends list wherever it is possible so the risk of running into one of those people is reduced.

And to avoid a double post: I dislike being mocked in a party when offering to Carby pull on SMN despite it being over nine thousand times safer than the usual voke pull or random ranged attack followed by the train of doom and the obligatory "lol why U nut reeraze me?" despite SMN not getting Raise from a WHM sub until Lv50. I'm happy that an ingame friend of mine has DRG at the same level as my SMN so I can duo with him whenever we feel like it so I never have to see these idiots again.

I've only experienced this once, but this was total garbage lol. I was partying in Valkurm Dunes one day on Secret Beach we were level 18-19ish don't remember what our setup was since this was about 2 years ago. We were doing a good job on the beach until out of nowhere pops out a Bogy. Of course everybody is shocked and we screamed ZOMG BOGY !!!!!!! There was a high level person nearby us on the beach, dunno if he was farming or what, but we called for help. About 5 secs after the bogy attacked us the WHM used a "Scroll of instant warp" and warped to his homepoint, WHICH WASN'T EVEN IN VALKURM >.> IT WAS IN BASTOK. High level person comes over and helps us fight the bogy and nobody died. The White Mage ended up looking stupid since he only cared about himself (sadly he was the only WHM availiable otherwise we might've replaced him). WHM Walks....back to the dunes from Bastok since he doesn't have the Outpost Warp. He gets back to the party and we get a level or two, and the same thing happened a second time, Bogy appeared and the WHM used a scroll of instant warp to Bastok again and left us to fight the Bogy. Instead of setting his homepoint in in the dunes like a smart one, he left it in Bastok. Killed the Bogy and disbanded since we couldn't find another WHM to replace that one.

Ya my son and I knew this guy that was a thf and he had that same little quirk. Instead of loosing a bit of exp, he'd Perfect Dodge and warp out. Used to piss me off to no end! The guy was super nice and a good friend...thats the only thing that saved him from my shitlist.

I just checked every known dynamis scheduler I could think of, and those asses did not post anywhere. So my peeve is this:

Shells who post their Dynamis schedule on their own shitty GuildPortal page and expect that to be the law of the server.
