Why is "I'm soloing xp on BLM" not a good enough excuse for me to not come help you? I'm allowed to solo xp and tell you I'm busy, and you have no right to get pissed at me for saying no. If I were in a party you wouldn't give me attitude so shut the fuck up.

I should add that it wasn't so much a request for help but a command. "Come help me beat 8-4" is not the way to ask your "friends" for help.

How does going out of your way to organise a Carby Mitts run on the only day a week you are able to access FFXI (because your college have the ports POL uses blocked so you can only play FFXI when visiting family and friends at weekends) only for one person to actually be free for the run sound? The reason I organised it for Saturday afternoon is because Friday nights (IF I can catch the early train) and Saturday afternoons (and maybe Sunday mornings if I'm lucky and can get a ride back to college) are the only times I can play FFXI now.

It just really annoyed the heck out of me since that LS seemed really willing to help. So I went back to my main LS and managed to help a friend get his AF hat for RDM so I guess I managed to accomplish something in the limited time I had to play and I got some club skill ups from Guardian Statue bashing to boot.

I thought you needed to own all areas except for the beastmen strongholds to access those BCNMs?

Ohh, FFwiki has been updated, so that's where you get the Brave Grip.

I'm going to have to look more into this. Since Skewer and Drakesbane have a decent chance to critical, that might replace my Pole Grip. Plus it might also effect my jumps since people think the AF feet give the jumps a higher chance to critical...

So yeah, we had a CoP run setup last night, to finish 8-3 and do 8-4 and be done with it all, guess who didn't show up? Without saying anything or sending any notice to us again either.

You know, I can be fine with people not showing up, I know only all too well that stuff happens. But at the minimum, the absolute minimum, I expect the person to let us know if they can't make it. Stuff happens where they can't let us know that they can't make it too, and I'll accept that as well. However this particular person has been late or not shown up to just about every event we have scheduled. She makes it to the rescheduled events, but on the first try, it seems like she's always either late or misses it. Except for when other members of the static got her her Sleepga II scroll.

Sorry for the rant, but it's just, I'm fine with stuff happening, but her excuses are running out for me. It feels like, you know that guy at work/school who's always late with something and always has an excuse? That's what it feels like.

And I'm really not happy about it. It is true that I've been waiting and angling to finish CoP missions since it came out, and that if I've waited this long I can wait a little longer, but I'm really not a happy camper at this point.

I had a party last night on Warrior, setup @ lvl 73 level sync, setup was RDM,WHM,WAR,RNG,RNG,THF. Of course I'm a little scared since our RDM leader who is JP setup the party and didn't let me know I was tanking until I joined the party and realized I was the only possible tank there lol. At the time I'm WAR/SAM and he kindly asked me to switch to /NIN, then I'm like dang, I left my Dual Wield axes inside storage. So I say oh well they'll have to deal with me and Foolkiller today. So we go to the Nyzul Isle >> Caedarva Mire camp and fight Imps where I was doing a pretty good job of keeping the Imps at bay but it was pretty easy saying we had massive DD capabilities with the 2 RNGs pwning. We chained 5 every time up until one of the RNGs left and the other one went AFK.

During this time we were waiting on the RNG1's replacement who was a BLU to show up. Me and the THF were pwning and somehow managed to chain 5 by ourselves while the RDM and WHM were healing. RNG came back from afk around the time we hit Chain 5 and we finished that chain. When the BLU showed up a few mins later, the WHM says "If I miss a Silena, let me know and I'll Silena you, I'm trying to watch the game." IMO that was kinda like me saying "If I don't provoke right away yell OMFG VOKE, and I'll voke, I'm trying to watch Heroes and Chuck." So me trying to be funny I say "Oh who's playing?" to which he replied "Vikings on one channel and Sox on the other channel". As the party went on I started realizing that we weren't getting alot of Protectra/Shellra and the RDM was doing the majority of the healing/support magic. Pretty much after awhile everybody was getting Silena cept me since the WHM was supposed to be kicking a silena my way, while the RDM was helping everybody else. (Good thing I had some Echo Drops in my inventory) So me being polite because I wanted to get 75 last night lol, would just politely say Silenced and the RDM would Silena me. We did very well up until the BLU dinged 75 and left the party to call another BLU to replace him, who must've gotten lost along the way because when I ran a search for his name he was definently in Azadaal Ruins. We kept fighting during this time until we got to a point where we got a Nuke Crazy Imp, that was casting Firaga, massive Amnesia, and Silence. When the RDM tried to Cure IV us it immediately ran after her and there wasn't anything I could do with Amnesia other than chase the mob down which I did. Everybody due to repeated -aga magic and sleepga dropped to less than 50% HP and all I had was 180 HP which dropped to 170 because of Blaze Spikes. We killed the Imp and nobody died but I was definently pissed at the WHM who went AFK and said nothing. I think the WHM had been leeching XP for at least 20 mins, probably about 30 at the most. After the RDM healed everyone he said {White Mage}{Away}{Long Time}? Since nobody said or knew anything about what happened to the WHM, the RDM disbanded the party.

Another time I was partying in Qufim in a Level Sync party, I forget what jobs were there, but I remember I was BLU. Our main healer wasn't doing much and most of the healing fell on the secondary healer and a DNC in the party. Everytime somebody would say something to the main healer he'd say "You guys are doing a good job" (Pretty much without you doing anything.) Eventually 2 of our peeps left the party and a DRG and his wife who was a DNC showed up. DRG was made leader since our leader left and the DRG said something along the lines of "I dont think the mage is doing anything" so we went inside Delkfutt's tower and the mage never made it in, he had went afk and said nothing so he'd been leeching XP for a good 20 mins and possibly longer. DRG kicked him for leeching.

If you aren't gonna do your job and just leech XP because you think somebody is gonna do it for you, then you should go solo lol or ask to be dropped from the party.

Yep had a party like that on Colibri's too. Party leader (rng) went afk and I was left with the rest of the party, all of which were JP. After 10 mins the JP rdm was going {Leader}{Where?} to which I had no answer. Again after 15 mins and with some ugly faces and finally again at 20 mins and they stopped pulling. I warned everyone and then did a few <call>s but the party ended up disbanding. Two of my biggest pet peeves when exping/meriting are long afks while staying in the pt and not paying attention because you're watching tv/reading/doing homework/playing PSP/whatfuckingever.........PAY ATTENTION GOD DAMN IT.

I swear if I was a leader of an endgame ls and I heard someone say they were watching tv or doing something else frivolous during an event, I'd kick their ass so fast they wouldn't know what hit them. And if I'm leader in a party and you go afk for longer than 5 mins you are guaranteed to be sitting with no party when you come back. Longer than 10 mins and your replacement will be on their way so don't ask to be invited. (This doesn't apply to someone that is responsible enough to say "I need to afk for 10 mins is that ok" and I say yes but I will still remove you from the party until you get back.)

Kind of amusing, one of our members who goes afk for the bulk of every fucking event that I'm trying to boot went afk 30 seconds into a Dynamis-Bastok run. We D2'd him, he came back with 15 minutes left and zoned back in, likely to say that he technically 'attended' the run to be allowed to lot BLU body this Thursday, which isn't going to happen.

Being Bastok, well you probably know what happens to the MH area after the boss is taken down. We made him HP too.

Related peeve, we can't for our lives seem to kick this guy. We're trying to avoid drama because he isn't blatantly breaking our kickable rules, but he's tiptoeing on them as much as possible, and we strongly feel that he's basically just staying until the next 2-3 things he wants drops so that he can lot them and leave.

At the moment if we kick him we have no explanation other than that we as officers didn't like him, and then people will probably turn into whiny cunts and claim foul play on our part, despite the fact that only one member in the ls actually even likes him, b/c they're RL friends. Even worse is that one member we actually like and don't want to lose, but it's probably going to be impossible not to when we kick the moron.

I totally understand your dilemma. Been there, done that situation. Had a b/f and g/f combo in the ls and the g/f was just a leech. She'd just skirt the edge of breaking rules and pretend that she was clueless and thats why she sucked (she sure knew how to do her whm duties for her b/f but screwed up all the time for everyone else). We knew that if we got rid of her that he'd leave too. We would have missed him but her.....HELL NO! No one would do anything so finally I asked the leader/sacs if they would let me try to take care of it and, more importantly, if they would back me up. LOL So I went to both of them and laid it on the line, either she picks up her game or she's out and yes we know that he'll leave too. We are not going to let her basically hold this over our heads in order to get equips/etc. We'll keep this between the leadership and the couple for now but if it continues the rest of the membership will be alerted to whats been going on and a private vote will be taken on the forum.

Now the b/f loved being in the ls and didn't want to leave so I guess privately he crawled up her ass. She started to follow the rules better and perform better too. But being a vindictive b***h she also had her little ways of getting back at the leadership (namely me) just to let us know we hadn't "won". The problem never goes away 100% but sometimes you can take it down a notch or two by being tough. It's a 50/50 proposition though so you do take your chances.

I'm gonna assume you guys have tried talking to him but like you said, its probably hard to do that because you don't wanna offend the other member and cause the both of them to take off. If not, you could probably call a meeting and talk borderline general to the whole group and reinterate the rules and slide in slight addendums on the rules. This way if he does something that is borderline you'll have just cause to say something to him to get his act back on straight. If he effs up a second time then you notify the group, 3rd time you should IPBAN him from the group. If it is done correctly and he subconsciously doesn't realize he's doing these things, he wont think you're talking directly at him when you are talking about it, and if he stupidly ignores the rules then he'll be seen by everybody.

Edit: Was typing at the same time TGM was lol. TGM's solution would work just as well, it just depends on what you guys as the leaders decide on doing.

We believe he knows exactly what he's doing, he's a shady, greedy person and not really a good enough player to hold onto at all, more than anything we're just hoping that when we don't let him lot BLU body he'll leave on his own so we don't look like the bad guys, but I consider him a risk of ninja lotting certain items if he stays after this point.

At this point I'm willing to just boot and blist him and tell those who don't like it to shut the fuck up, lately it's getting to the point where we have more dead weight than good players and half the shit we do I think we'd be more successful with our 12 best than with 20+ including all the gimps, whiners, and lootwhores. The shellholder is trying to end things diplomatically, so kind of waiting for either this guy to leave or for him to just greenlight me doing it my way.

Didn't get to go on CoP the other night, Ana wasn't able to make it. She did let us know though.

Had a nice lengthy talk with the other members of the static, it was a bit interesting to see everyone's stances. They ranged from, "I'd expect any static to move on if I wasn't able to meet a run" to, "I don't leave any static member behind no matter what".

We finally decided to let her know that since she said that Monday would probably work for her, that we've scheduled it for that night. If she decides that Monday doesn't work and some other day would instead, that's fine so long as she let's us know ahead of time or the day of. However we also said that if she misses Monday or the day of her choosing, that we are moving on without her.

I like this decision, especially since I was torn between waiting for her and continuing without her. I don't like leaving her behind at this point, and if she's able to make a day then I'm willing to wait a bit for her. The problem for me though is that she's missed so many days, she's become unreliable. To put it into perspective, we were on 8-1 in what, late August/early September?

Yeah, looking back through the best/latest accomplishment thread, I posted that I got Sea access on 8/23, since I normally post about those things the day after I think it's safe to say that I got it on 8/22. We had been doing a mission a week prior to that. So we've been in Sea for what, a month and a half? Somewhere around that time. Actually, I think we did 8-1 while running around getting the maps, so we're looking at maybe being on 8-2 as early as 8/22.

Now I won't blame all of that delay on Ana, and I won't hold some of the delay that she caused against her, like her falling asleep and missing a mission run. But still, that's a ton of time lost.

So as I was saying, she's missed so many days, my main problem is that I'm willing to wait if she says she can make a day, but since she's missed so many that she said that she'd make, how can I trust her now when she says she'll make it?

I hope she makes it, but either way it will be nice to have this resolved and behind us.

I just had my own little annoyance ... the new Level Sync killed me! I was soloing as DNC/BST and received a PT invite. I finish the fight I'm in and accept the invite ... and my level drops from 16 to 11, that DC bat I have charmed becomes T and uncharms on the spot, and I end up HPing after waiting 15 minutes. Oh, and I can't forget the instant loss of TP, so I couldn't heal myself either...

HA - yeah was on my way to a sync party in CN and just as I arrived at camp the leader hits Sync - and the three of us who were already at camp die because the 75 SAM and 75 PLD were "just having fun" killing TW Worker Crawlers - that just became IT++.... and we lose all buffs and then its all "OMG its eating my Face"!!!!

Please wait until you are AT camp and the party is READY before hitting Sync folks...
