Ya I was DDing and he was pulling but I was pulling 1/2 the time. Like I said, I wasn't impressed.

I am fucking sick to death of level sync and everything it stands for. They should make it that you can only sync with LS members.

I think the last 5 or 6 parties I've had have been in Qufim. I'm sick of it, and I want to move on and skill up my damn weapons. Not to mention the idiots that don't understand that when I'm levelling something that has sub NIN, syncing below Lv24 will cause me to lose Utsusemi, and syncing below Lv20 will cause me to lose Dual Wield. I don't want to have to switch everything just to suit your party, but people get shitty with me when I tell them no.

(1) If you don't want to Level Sync, don't join PTs that want to.
(2) If /NIN isn't an option, sub something else, you shouldn't start subbing /NIN just because you hit level 24 anyway, there are still better subs than /NIN for the majority of DD jobs that level.
(3) You always have the option to solo, no one forces you to party.

You got it in one. People in this game seem to think because its there, they HAVE to do it. Some people make FFXI out to be a massive game of simon says. (Always hated that game)

My peeve would have to be.. People who ignore search comments and then get angry when you turn them down.

Level syncing at inappropriate times.

I get an invite after seeking for ages, ok its a sync party but I don't mind, all my skills are capped and a couple of hours xp won't hurt them. Get told to meet them in the zone, ok fine. I'll warp and OP there, they send the invite when I zone, no warnings about level sync in the chat log so its safe to accept.

As soon as I get into the party I tell them I'm running accross the zone to meet them and not to sync until I get there. Guess what they do just as I run past a TW mob that checks as IT to the sync level.....

What ticks you off and sends you into a swirling inferno of anger and frustration?

For me it's when random people check you in town and then comment on your gear. Now don't get me wrong I don't care about /checks, infact I check a lot of people myself but when they go out of thier way to mock your ENM or BCNM or SOLO gear or subjob it pisses me off >_>

Take for example when I used to level drg/whm, I would get a lot of checks concerning my gear and how gimp it was. Now when I play DRG/WHM usually I'm just trying to solo a few more xp to level up, or just looking for a change of pace. For this reason I take off most of my Acc gear and replace it with MP gear.

So next time you see a strange subjob/equipment combo there is no need to try to enlighten the player to the conventional choices

Other day I was riding through Sauromogue Champaigne and I passed by a random party out there who was running to Jeuno or so I think while I was riding on my Chocobo that I raised from a egg. Outta nowhere this dude shouts "AH HA you couldn't get a colored chocobo, you got weak yellow!" I was instantly filled with rage because whether or not it is yellow, I am proud of Galaxy Destroyer's First Class STR and END. He may not have Gallop and Canter but he gets me around wherever I need to go. So I replied back "STFU Nub.", to which he replied "I have 3 75's so looks like you are the nub." IMO Just because you may have 3 75's that doesn't make you l33t, however if you have a good attitude about it then that makes you l33t. I was on the verge of asking how much he paid for his account but I decided to be a little nicer. In the other case, if you have an attitude like this guy, not only does it not make you l33t but it also makes you and all three of your lvl 75s assholes. Hell if I didn't have to go to work everyday I'd have 3 75's too. I would never shout something like that and especially to somebody I didn't know. I just kept riding and said "lol you don't even know me so STFU, and Have a Nice day" as I zoned into Jeuno. In about another week however I will have Warrior to 75 so I will have at least 1 :D who is not nor has never been a asshole.

I ran into him again I think it was saturday night when I was doing a quest as /anon and he had the nerve to check me as he walked by. I almost had a few choice words for him but I said Meh.

I know I'm becoming an elitist, I can't really help it, because I just get tired of people using piss-poor attitudes and gear choices to justify the fact that they just can't fucking learn their jobs.

That's not being elitist, that's being normal and expecting someone to do their job right

It's like expecting a two handed DD, or any DD really, to have +acc gear on hand. And I have a very dim view on any two hander eating sushi now. Most of us have so much +acc traits/abilities coming out of every pore now that's it's almost absurd.

And by level 75 I darn well expect people to be able to play their job with a certain efficiency. That's hardly being elitist.

But a lot of CORs are just dippy little twits that think all they have to do is have refresh and sub /WHM or /NIN and that's the whole job. At merit level, COR/RNG and COR/DNC bring a lot more to the table in merits than either /WHM or /NIN. And some people consider that alone being elitest. I very politely made a suggestion to someone in my new ls and he promptly insulted my ability to play the same job (which I have to 75), even though I was right. I wonder how long I will last before I blow...

We are NOT elitest if we have leveled your job to 75 (sometimes multiple times ><) and try to help you in an exp party and you get offended. We are NOT elitest if when you are offended by our help we tell you that we have the job to 75.....we are just letting you know we have the experience to be able to help you. The word is KNOWLEDGEABLE not elitest...so get over yourself.

Had a COR/WHM in a melee merit PT once, I was there as SCH. She had like 600 MP and couldn't land a shot for shit. I wanted to disband she was so horrible. If you want to cure people THAT badly, go be a WHM, RDM or SCH.

I did go COR/WHM to one merit party (ONE TIME) with my linkshell, full MP build (serket/ether/W Abj/etc) where everyone subbed NIN and main healed.

Wasn't ideal and was boring as hell, but it served it's purpose! But I also didn't think I was there to shoot my gun, either...

I'm actually hoping to sneak into a meripo as PLD/WHM and do this, lol. I was just dicking around and changed to WHM sub and put on some MP gear and realized I had like 6-700 MP, I think I'm going to buy a Vermillion Cloak and make that my main way to rebuffer PLD once I get my Sword/Shield skills capped out.

This is the truth.

I would have to say that I'm turning elitist because I have higher expectations of gear choices and skill levels from people, and I've become one of those "check gear and consider them gimp" types. And I've gotten kind of stuck up lately, lol. It's time for changes in the game though, as far as who I associate with and what I spend my time doing. That might ease the bitchiness a little.

Before you get mad, I don't comment on people's gear. I check and move on, save for on vent or in /t to a friend, but never to the person. Bitchy? Yeah, but it causes much less drama.

And I enjoy the gimp thread on BG way more than I should. >.>

I pretty much only make fun of peoples' gear when they're in my LS, so that they feel bad about themselves and know who's in charge.
