Armando , you missed the point that i was talking about low level sync for dunes or quafim island only. This is what i was griping about no ? If your not killing those things then yes i understand that a Whm is not enough to keep a party healthy. but my gripe was about players assuming that im shit just cuz i told them that ive only been playing for 3 days, and these were the area's i was fighting at.

And this happened alot LONG BEFORE i got to 18 and i was able to get my subjob. I did however go get my subjob at 20 since i understand the importance of it. and the friends that said would help me get my items were unable to help untill then

As for my kids i have an understanding with the father , he pays for the private schoos,l that we want them to go to, so he can have them over school time and i get them for summer. During school i get them every other weekend as well.. i would appreciate that you can understand that my kids come first before anything else so i would never play any game while i have them

Anywho i wont be able to read this thread anymore nor play FF11 becuase i gotta go take care of my mother , she just had hip surgery thursday and she comes home from the hospital today. I appreciate the constructive critism and i look forward to more in the future

Saying you're slow would be an understatement. Aks had announced that she felt WHM was more her main job than RDM was some long times ago.

And Aks, if you find yourself invited to a party that has another RDM, why not go as your main? WHM+RDM is supposed to be the dynamic duo here!

Also, out of curiosity, Aksannyi, what is your Club Skill Level at?

I'll admit that I'm extremely ignorant of what a COR can bring to a exp/merit pt. I have been in a party with one once. It wasn't that great of an experience. He barely did "COR stuff" and concentrated mostly on doing damage. So I wouldn't even think that a COR could replace a BRD in a party for a second.

Typically I focus on DD and melee rolls if it's a COR + BRD party, but really a COR who does keep backline rolls up consistently is actually much better for a healer than a BRD. A non-relic BRD is going to max out at 3/tick Refresh with no additional boosts. A COR is going to almost always get at least 2/tick, get 3/tick often, get 4/tick occassionally, and be able to offer hMP+ or Conserve MP+ on top of that. BRD is a more efficient puller, but in regards to just buffs COR is superior.

              About 215, not sure.

And I don't want to go WHM to merit because it's generally not as efficient. With friends, probably, but not in a pick up group. And most of the RDMs on this server are horrible. I have to beg for Refresh when I'm on WHM, it's ridiculous. Dealing with RDMs when I'm on WHM is more aggravation than it's worth for what's supposed to be a fast and easy merit party.

Give me a 3 DD, 2 Bard, and 1 RDM party any day, I'll merit from 0-10 happily for the four hours that takes. I do like Corsairs, but there just aren't that many of them, though 3 DD, Bard, Cor, and me are great parties, too.

I just don't have the time or the patience to fuck around with 6k/hr merit parties anymore. It used to be about having fun, now, I just want to cap merits.

You really have lost sight of what's important, haven't you? People like that could be a pet peeve of my own if it didn't sadden me far more than it could possibly annoy me.

Go ahead and get yourself Hexa Strike and start having fun again, seriously.

Meriting is still fun, if you get in a good party. I find when I'm in one of those slow parties where people are sucktastic and being stupid, that's not fun. That's when it turns into work. But when I can relax in a merit party, Refresh myself and Haste the melees, toss a few cures here and there and a Regen or two, that's a lot more fun than trying to keep "Uber-pwn DD" alive when he's retarded and pulls hate without shadows, and then getting bitched out when I have to rest.

My views on it have changed, but I haven't forgotten how to have fun.

Guess I should change that part you quoted. It used to be JUST about having fun, and not necessarily the merits. Now I want both, if I can have it.

Also, I really want to stress this again:

The Red Mages on this server are horrible. So, so, horrible. They make me want to cut myself. Repeatedly. They're really bad.

I know I'm becoming an elitist, I can't really help it, because I just get tired of people using piss-poor attitudes and gear choices to justify the fact that they just can't fucking learn their jobs.

Actually aks is kinda right on RDM on Hades. I've partied with several on my own RDM, since apparently double RDM parties are popular for some odd reason when BRD's are available. Several just suck hardcore. I can count maybe 3 RDM's that actually were smart about it, intelligently discussed how to split up assignments, etc. The number of times I've had to deal with a RDM who wanted to nuke, miss Refresh by several minutes on everyone but him/herself, not throw backup heals and be out of mp before the Convert timer that it just gets annoying.

                          And my RDM isn't even 75. I can't imagine meriting RDM's.

As Callisto said, when it comes to the matter of mages, COR just beats BRD silly. COR has Evoker's, Healer's, Warlock's, Wizard's and Scholar's Roll do more for the backline mages than two tiers of Ballad ever will.

COR + BRD and any healer will help a merit PT rake in the EXP and if everyone is on top of thier game and well-gear, the COR could arguably drop one melee and one mage buff to give Corsair's Roll, pushing even more EXP per hour.

But a lot of CORs are just dippy little twits that think all they have to do is have refresh and sub /WHM or /NIN and that's the whole job. At merit level, COR/RNG and COR/DNC bring a lot more to the table in merits than either /WHM or /NIN. Any COR/NIN that isn't pulling in a merit PT and is DD-ing with thier gimpy little knives should be laughed out of the party.

Had a COR/WHM in a melee merit PT once, I was there as SCH. She had like 600 MP and couldn't land a shot for shit. I wanted to disband she was so horrible. If you want to cure people THAT badly, go be a WHM, RDM or SCH.

                                This.

Also, I'm not saying I ~like~ Pink Mage, I just whore my RDM for merits now while I pimp the shit out of my WHM. And BLM lately, as well. Pink Mage is just easy, although, on Hades, a lot of people still manage to fail at it. :/

I want to get into the top HNMLS on the server, I have to bust my ass on merits and getting myself geared well. Gear is, for the most part, done, at least the buyable shit. Merits are more of a work in progress because I have to depend on five other people at a time to get them. So yes, I am going to take the path of least resistance to get them done. And I feel no shame in using my RDM as a merit whore, when it will get me invites faster and I can count on myself not to fuck up RDMing instead of some random pickup who doesn't know that you can actually Refresh other people in your party.
