When I get to a new farming camp, no one's there, and after 15 minutes its packed with linkshell-less anon THFs.

Yeah, the fundamental problem with "couple apps" is, "What if one of them is good enough to be accepted but the other isn't?" Then you're faced with whether or not the accepted will join without his/her honey, or if they'll try to pressure you into accepting them both.

It's far too much of a hassle. If you can't get one without the other, don't bother with either of them. CK and I are in diffrent LSes and it's fine. (To be fair, I know I couldn't get into his - yet - and I haven't even applied, but I also know that I can not and will not expect to ride his coattails to get in if I do apply.)

Ya its a real issue for me because my husband is a clingon. (and no I did not mean Klingon) He MUST go everywhere I go in game and will pout and be horrendous if he can not. We play in the same room so its cool cause we make a good team but its annoying as hell.

I had a GF who did that for a while, we eventually broke up, for other reasons though.

My current GF however, I'm actually trying to drag her places cause we don't spend enough time in game together. Plus she's actually good at her job...and looks great in Dnc af

You can excavate chicken bones in a number of places, yet there are no chickens in the game. I always found that odd.

Maybe these two points are more related than we think.

I thought maybe SE didn't want the Chinese gilfarmers to stick around so they made the game as unhospitable as possible so they get fed up (or hungry) and leave.

Voice chat with 1 person on 360', 6 people on Ventrillo at the same time and no real support for any of it in FFXI. PS2 basketball games even have had voice for years. Typing is great but to many mixed up forms of communication now on top of that.
