I think the reason for that is just for the ease of reforming PTs as needed during the event

Thing is, I have yet to come to any event for that linkshell on anything but White Mage. They know what job I am. But if that's their deal then ... whatever. They're a good shell and I won't complain, I'll just put /anon right back on as soon as I drop my glass.

People who voke your claims while farming are pretty darn annoying. The following happened today during a farming session in Bubu:

I was farming at the North beach in Bubu for Bird Blood and to get some Staff Skill ups because it's seriously under levelled. After about an hour some random 30RDM no sub with Lv16 Equipment turns up and starts killing everything he can see.

Basically he was complaining (in highly broken English) that i was taking his exp targets. At 30 only Bogys give exp in Bubu so there was no way he was going to be levelling from this. I tried to explain that i was farming, was there first and asked if he could skip the leeches and that he would be better off doing his subjob quest than levelling further but was ignored. he then started spamming Dia on every mob he could see to kill for himself. It was getting a little annoying so I started to pull stuff with flash so he couldn't Dia things away from me and it did the trick. he backed off after a short while leaving me in peace.

Or so i thought. About 15 minutes later a SAM at about 41 and in better gear for his level turned up. This SAM began to stalk me on /follow and voke any mob that i tried to claim and one shotted it. I asked him multiple times to stop it and he replied in the same broken English (which leads me to belive that it is the same guy) that he needed money. He kept up this stalking and voking for about 10 minutes.

I ended up calling in some LS support and a couple of LS members showed up to help. The SAM ignored them so we began to claim and kill just about everything on the beach. It seemed to tick him off but it did the trick as he backed off completely until i filled out my inventory with Bird Blood not long after.

I can't really prove that this WAS the same person but going by the pretty anti-social behaviour of the SAM coming so close after the RDM leaving does make me wonder if they were the same guy.

Isn't that something you can report? I mean, just killing in the same area is nothing, but picking up whatever mob you're going to kill and killing it first?

I don't think it's reportable. If it's not purple, it's not yours. Claim faster. Annoying? Yeah. Rude? Completely. But I don't believe it's in violation of the rules.

If he was "stalking" her and putting her on follow without her permission or something like that, maybe she can report him for harassment/grief tactics, but I think that's about it.

I know that the GMs refuse to deal with claim disputes due to the drama caused by Rival HNM linkshells which is why I called in some LS friends. Granted we shouldn't have completely monopolised the beach (since I think that is a violation itself) but it was the only way to get this guy to stop. The guy stopped stalking after me with /follow as soon as he realised that the two huge Elvaan that just appeared were in the same LS as me (one being the shellholder).

That's not true at all. Level 21-30, you can go down to 10 levels below your own, from 31-35 it's up to 11 levels below, and 36-40 it's 12, for something to still check as Easy Prey. The leeches go from 21-25. All of them are at least Easy Prey at 30, and some of them will be Easy Prey at 37.

Edit: Not that that justifies dickery, but if he really was killing "everything in sight," he was definitely getting XP.

Luckily I wasn't on RDM otherwise I would have given him a piece of my mind. yeah it's nice when people work together in campaign but it's not "their job". Unless you've chosen to party in campaign and specifically work together, boo hoo to you!

The funny thing was a lot of the mages were curing, there weren't many people and a lot of mobs, one guy was pulling to a safe distance where everyone worked together to kill them, I was often tanking on WAR and I was always getting cures even though I ddin't know anyone.

Also this guy seemed to get confused with players raising (I saw about 2 people raise) and the taru npcs spamming raise >_> On a flipnote, if he had been dead he would have been complaining they were still not doing their job.

No. He took the noble's and other endgame gear he had loaned my mother back though first. She'll manage to get more in a few days, I'm sure.
