Why do people think it's perfectly okay to just voke a mob after I've pulled my sword on it and started casting Dia III, what the hell people why do you have to be douchebags!?!?!?

this happening to me farming today, a war kept voking mobs i was chasing around behind them waiting for them to stop moving so SA would land

i got my revenge though putting up sneak, assassin's charge, flee, and hide then when he was engaging one thinking i wasnt around i suddenly one-shotted it

i hope he dropped his cup of coffee on his keyboard when that happened

My pet peeve and this happends a lot and not just to me. When people go around do /emote motion and put something like "humping your face" and keep spamming you with it. That pisses me off, I had to call a GM the other day cuz this dude would not leave me the hell alone in Besieged LOL!
If your that bored go get a fricken life and get off of FFXI then, also if you are that horny go get laid geez!

Oh and 711 I do the same thing with RDM lol, this guy the other day in Valkrum Dunes when I was trying to solo would just take a mob or two at a time and kill them and new I was trying to solo. So I went off somewear used Sneak and Invisble, came up to a mob he was going to attack and got it first. I hope he was like WTF? I hate when people do that, I have done it somtimes and that was without knowing they were after it.

Disabling the useless visual stuff makes it pretty decent. It's no XP, though.

Disable all the "stuff" you don't need in vista, install only neccessary things, log on Vista everytime you wish to play a game in DirectX10 or which are Vista/DX10-only.

Exp party.

Was soloing EP worms on SCH off and on. Hours later, got invite, warped back to Windurst with a scroll, grabbed Ducal Guard's Ring get to Jeuno fast. PLD, SMN, SAM, and my SCH. Warrior joined in a bit. Looks good: 5/6. Used exp ring. So, what happens next? Can't find 6th for a long time.

Leader tank "d/c". WAR then "d/c" shortly after. SMN changed to PLD while I grab two JP players. Handed leader back to PLD-who-was-SMN. He couldn't get anyone else to join.

JP BLM "d/c". Miraculously, the WAR who "d/c'" earlier was back on seek--sent no one a /tell, of course, and was invited back. I noticed he's WAR42/NIN10. Gimp.

PLD-who-was-SMN "d/c". SAM bolts. I apologized to the JP MNK to stuck with us, he took it as his exit cue.

So, I was left stuck with Mr. WAR42/NIN10. Wasted CP (warp scroll). Wasted a charge Ducal Guard's Ring. Wasted a charge on Emperor's Ring (more CP down the tube). Wasted more than an hour of my life. All that, to be stuck with a gimpy jerk.

Sometimes, I really hate exp parties.

Only the SAM and the MNK gave any indications they were leaving. The rest were freaking jerks who disappeared without a word. Or they really had connection problems. Right.

Oh, having audacity to fake d/c while being stupidly gimp is amusing--should be even more amusing next time I see you on search, and let the party leader know about this amusing tale. >_>b

Could there possibly be anything that SCREAMS "I want to dual-wield, shadows don't matter ... that's what the healer's for!" than this? Probably uses Berserk every time it's up, and doesn't bother to take it off when being hit, much less use Defender. Oh, and probably doesn't understand setting up a SATA for the tank, either...

You should never use an exp ring unless you have six people ready to go. In fact I never use it until we've done a few mobs just in case it's one of those lame parties which disbands after three mobs because someone fake d/cs due to us not getting 10,000,000 xp per hour.

Actually, that's my pet peeve. People constantly post here about how 30k/hr is the expected norm for merit parties these days ... who can honestly say that anyone who says that isn't even in the slightest bit jerking off in our faces? The best I've gotten was around 18k/hour, and that was an *amazing* party with little to no competition, no stopping and constant chaining. 30k/hour? I refuse to believe this the same way I refuse to believe you did that much on a WS by yourself and that your fish was that big.

Same here. I always wait to see if the party is worth staying in or stays together. Sometimes though, I just totally forget to use it then....damn old age! LOL

I refuse to believe this the same way I refuse to believe you did that much on a WS by yourself and that your fish was that big.

Sometimes we try to use our exp ring in town so we can recharge it and get two charges out of it. It's always risky though, especially with lower level parties. With merit parties I pretty much know I'm going to be there at least a few hours.

Maybe I was just raised to be tolerant, perhaps its also because my stepfather was 2nd generation Japanese, but whenever I hear the term "jap" or "japs" from someone I want to claw them to death.

Look, idiot, you're 75 and there's the stuff called Sneak Oils and Prism Powders. There's also these wonderful Ninjutsu spells called Monomi and Tonko, too.

We are a military family and it also irks us. I think young people that aren't exposed to some type of history with the term don't really understand how demeaning it is. I always /t someone and gently remind them that it is rude. Sometimes they respond "Oh I didn't realize..." but often all I get back is a hostile reply and an arguement. And really the excuse that its faster because its an abbreviation....JP is a lot shorter nimrod so that blows a hole in that theory.

Yeah I tried to explain that to a guy in my party and he jsut told me they prefer to be called Jap... I was like I assure you they don't. If you actually read out loud what you are typing I'm sure you would realize it's not an "ok" thing to say.

Needless to say I booted him and got another job after some nice...."Heated" conversation. ^^
