Unfortunately blms are in a pickle. All levels are doing melee burn style parties, even though they don't always work. So that leaves any job with cure doing healing duties usually. For many blms it's suck it up and heal or solo. It certainly is your choice to not be a healer but then I fear your next peeve will be no one inviting you to parties. I would love to level another one of my blm's to 75 but after getting it to 52, I'm just frustrated beyond belief.

No, it's not. Your point was that BLM is a DD job, so people shouldn't be asking you to heal. My point was that BLM can heal just fine in some situations.

Put it this way - have you ever corrected someone on the proper pronuciation of a word and they still persist to mispronounce it, even after being corrected? Have you ever met someone that does it with names, even after being corrected?

I live it every day, its fucking annoying.

Considering the myriad of abbreviations one must learn to even play an MMORPG, its best that you don't make up your own abbreviations as you go along. Its confusing to others if you do so.

If it has MP and subs something that can cure, it won't kill them to help out with healing from time to time. I'm a SCH, I can nuke with the best of them, what's a BLM's excuse? You trivialize the veratility if this game when you insist that your job should only focus on one thing.

Should RDMs only enfeeble? PLDs only tank? DRGs only DD? SCHs only cast weather magic?

Of course not, that would be STUPID. So why are you suggesting a BLM not ever cure when it ritually subs a job that allows access to cures?

Annoying, yes. A huge deal? Maybe not so much.

I also live with a bunch of people who pronounce Parmesan incorrectly consistently, and insist on doing so; it's ultimately not a big deal because neither of us are going to budge, anyway.

Back up curing is one thing, main healing is another entirely. I would never expect a BLM to main heal in an xp party, but I certainly expect them to toss a cure out if the tank's being raped.

And your point is?? I have 2 lvl 75 blms and I cure and have main healed on both. You can't imagine how many times my measley little cure 3 has saved a someones a** and how grateful people are when you do it. Nothing pisses me off more than to see a wipe over no curing and the blm has damn near full mp. Can't be a team player, go play a console RPG.

Agreed with TGM, too few Blm use their subjob at all.

And I'll still stick with my line of, if you expect a Smn to main heal, then it's fair game for a Blm to main heal.



And on to my pet peeve, people who complain about stuff constantly.

I get a party invite, it's 4x drg/mage, rdm, brd, we go to the colibri camp and fight only birds. After 5 minutes, a drg DCs, after about 8-10 minutes, another party camps on top of us and proceeds to fight only birds.

At the end of 30 minutes the 5 of us have made 7k exp with no exp band, now that is with 5 members fighting over respawns with another party, we have one puller, they have 3 (brd, cor, rdm) so actually I'm sitting here thinking that we're doing pretty damn good with our one uber brd puller, who was damn good too. However the other drgs in my party we complaining about the exp, how slow it was, how we couldn't get above chain #15, etc

It really got me when they uttered the phrase, "It's just average exp.... meh" Well, if it's just average and not above and beyond the typical exp party, stop your complaining then, we weren't expecting miracles. News flash, average, in the usage he meant, is the normal expected value, which means we are doing fine with the 5 of us with another party camping on top of us.

Pet peeve #2

Being told to put on DD gear by the asinine drg in said party as we worked our way to the camp. Now since all us drgs were /mage, and I'm /rdm, I put on a bunch of +mp gear so that I wouldn't tap into my max mp reserves when I'm wearing DD gear to do the sneak/invisible for other people who did not come /rdm or /whm. We have one rdm, I'd rather save him a little mp if I can regardless of how little it costs to toss me a Refresh.
