I'm fed up with people who complain about the people who complain about botting.

It is your fault that you associate with rules breakers or are in fact one. Other people haver every right to think less of you for it. (Duh.) Go cry your heart out on BG about how mean the non-botters are if you need sympathy.

Hey itaz you were in FD right, guess what they had botters, there for you chose to associate with the botters, GTFO thanks.

Guess what? FD was originally a social LS. (Was I even Lv.40 when I left, shortly before it broke? lol.) Think a social LS with Lv.40 and under players started as a botting LS? Get real.

After it started to recruit Lv75 players, things changed. If anything, it was probably the likes of you who though you signed up for a easy to get in Sky LS--you and the rest of the riffraffs dragged in the botters and the "anything for loot" mentality.

I still remember how fast you and others disappeared when it FD's Sky effort stalled. Loot'ers, the whole lot of you--not looting time? You're else where. No more loot? You're all gone!

Not that you were at fault for FD's destruction. *shrug* The old FD died the moment it started recruiting "usable" people, thus opening itself to be "used".

Out of curiosity, how did you know, anyway? I didn't notice anyone using cheats until shortly before FD broke--one person made comments about information he couldn't have known without a cheat tool.

There, I just admitted I was once in an LS with Sev, in which at least one person used cheats--and probably used bots. My position remain the same, though; I have no sympathy for you whiners who complain about people not liking botters.

Which wasn't the case. The complaint wasn't that people don't like botters; the complaint was that people lump in people in certain LS based on stereotypes-- whether true or not-- while acting as if their own friends and LS couldn't possibly have any cheaters.

I mean, start off with the Shellholder's newbie Level 15 Monk/nothing "girlfriend" who thinks she's the queen of everything, and add in the not-so-much-of-a-twist of the "replacement" Linkshell, and what you get is a cliched story told far too many times.

I dunno I think you were 35 lol. FD had some botters from the CKD/TTK era tho, didn't decide to hey guys lets bot for events! lol

Again thats is the problem me and the riffraffs lol, the amount of events I actually was able to do with FD was limited due to play time, so just because I am an endgame advocate now you have grouped me with the people who you thought destroyed FD.

Actually I dissapeared when I had Real Life things to attend to and was forced to take a break. When I came back the linkshell had all but broke, so I kept FD as a social pearl and talked with my friends on there till the merge, when I left due to issues with a few people from TK (yes I was there to the bitter end =D )

I can't agree more, I joined FD presky and were I met one of my best friends from FFXI Suzette.

I was asked by a few people a few weeks before I was forced on break, if i would bot with them to help progress thru sky, as a ps2 player I couldn't and I wouldn't regardless.

In all due seriousness I have never and will never bot lol. Being in the linkshells I have, if i was a botter I would have never been forced out of Ackz or had some of the issues I had with Demo. I refuse to bot period, I don't agree with it but no matter where you go for HNMs they bot it sucks oh well I have come to terms with it. I was offered "The Linkshell bot" the other day, refused it again and got the "Wow really you don't bot" reaction again recently.

ahaha sounds like a ls I had recently. The whole ls ended up breaking up because they broke up.

speaking of LS, I joined a "new" ls and was told I had to help new players. Why is it so hard for people to look stuff up or ask for information and then go do it their selves? I'm all down for helping but on simple soloable stuff? I got 6 tells last night to PL and a few to help get BRD flag then more tells for help to farm .........................................................

The reason they ask for help on the simple things is because it makes it that much easier, and they can get that many more things done. People want instant gratification from something that has taken others years to accomplish, so I completely understand why you are frustrated.

As for a linkshell breaking up over a relationship, that is just ridiculous

My pet peeve? This is an opinion (mostly about Allakhazam)...

People who quit playing two + years ago (or even more) who STILL have obnoxiously large sigs proclaiming their Jobs and Quests and Missions and overall FFXI superiority. Why would that bother me? See, 'cuz if you quit two years ago, you really AREN'T a level 75 anything - you maybe WERE, but then you QUIT, now you are a Level 1 Troll.

You may have great insight, into how the game was played 9 updates and three expansions ago, and you may have done it/seen it/ got the burning itch, but if you quit, and you aint it.

Not much of a big problem HERE at D.O.V (our quitters understand rehab) but OMFG Alla!!!! I was looking through my servers topics on Alla and more than half the posters don't even play FFXI anymore (which is, in and of itself, sad) and still have obnoxiously large sigs proclaiming their FFXI l33tness

Only they quit, so they aint....

Alla is so frustrating. Sometimes there are a few scraps of interesting information there, but my god do I hate navigating their ugly forums. The colors, the layout, the lack of customization, the fucking premium accounts, etc. Hate.
