If they don't use their mp I won't refresh them. Trust me I will tell them that if they refuse to use their mp then I'm done.

i had a DRK tell me "what good are you if u dont refrsh me?"

i told him "what good are you if you dont use your magic?"

he left shortly thereafter only to be replaced by another DRK that understood that i might not be able to get to him all the time with refresh and told me to cast it on him when i feel i can. i love that DRK and we murdered with him.

Though I can understand his point, why do people get so terrified of being TA'ed? TRUST YOUR MAGES PEOPLE!

i dont think its that they dont trust their mages but more so something stupid like "omg i dont want to have my food eaten/tp wiped/have to cast utsu"

tp being wiped is annoying; the food eaten/casting utsu is nothing

Newest pet peeve: Having to listen to people bitch about Colibri stealing their expensive food. If you know you're going to be fighting them, why pop the expensive food over and over again, and if you're stupid enough to do that, how can you work a keyboard ot bitch to me about it?

I haven't posted yet but you wana know what my crazy pet peve is:

Player attidues twords certian jobs!

Some jobs you can play them as you'd like(even tho it's an ok way to handle them) and some lack invites because "XXX job stinks!". All FFXI jobs have their uses...even Puppetmaster(I swear with the right puppet...it'd rock)...

This crazy lame preset way of thinking gets on my nerves sometimes...(can't we accept some thinking outside the box people?)

HNM camps... especially watching a 6 man party take just under an hour to kill fafnir.

At least we got to chat with a GM though.

He showed up when people started spamming shouts midfight.

Lazy/stupid people who are terrible at their job(s)...

Yesterday I started up a party for my Corsair in Crawlers' Nest. Party setup was MNK, DNC, DNC, RDM, BLM, COR (36-37 range). Once we reached camp I announced in party chat, "(back line job) = (Healer's Roll). (front line job) = (Hunter's Roll) + (Samurai Roll)." The Black Mage moved back but the Red Mage stayed up front. I repeated myself but the Red Mage still didn't come back, so I just gave the Black Mage Healer's Roll and went off to start pulling.

I grab a crawler and the Monk had to provoke since neither of the Dancers had animated flourish ready due to lack of TP. I was a little busy with my rolls and shooting with my gun to pay attention to what the Red Mage was doing, but it didn't take long before I realized the Red Mage never pulled out his sword. He would cast magic the whole time, pop a ginger cookie when it was over and then start resting right along side the melee jobs. Since Corsair is still new I include help text in my macros so people know what I'm doing. Every time I used Healer's Roll it would say in party chat, "(Healer's Roll) Increased MP recovery." This wasn't a Japanese player either. He could clearly speak English, proven when he was questioned after lotting on the silk threads...

Twice he did a miss-cast and hit a lizard instead of the crawler we were fighting. Thankfully the Black Mage had Escape so three of us manage to survive the first time. Second time the Red Mage was the only one left behind since he was standing too far away and didn't notice the Black Mage say, "(Escape)."

Party stuck together and I continued to pull, keeping myself busy until I realized something else, the Red Mage wasn't casting any enfeebling magic... No slow, no paralyze, no dia, no dispel, nothing (although the Black Mage did claim that it was poison that the Red Mage had cast when he hit a lizard the first time).

Eventually the Red Mage did move away from the melee jobs, but decided to stand on the exact opposite side of the Black Mage. A couple times he announced "mp 0%" but I didn't give a damn how much MP he had if he wasn't going to cooperate with me.

And to top it all off, he did a magic burst for 14 damage.

What a freakin noob. if i ever see him sullying the great RDM, ill prolly kill him. that pissed me off just reading it. i wouldve kicked him if i was party leader.

What I hate the most is people who think they know better than everyone else and are very vocal about it (you can think you are better than others in your head and as long as you don't go around saying it I don't care). I've seen so many posts from different ffxi forums and for the most part those who post in them (especially allakhazam) are very demeaning to those who question them. "I've been playing for x years" or "Have you even been to <insert random endgame zone>?" is a common thing to see in ffxi forums and it's plain to see that there are a good number of elitists in this game.

Most of the pet peeves listed here stem from these elitists. I'm not saying that the people posting are necessarily elitists but the pet peeves they have are done by elitests, i.e. people complaining about your sub or the way you play. If people only realize that they don't know everything (and actually probably don't know much) we wouldn't have so many problems.

Lack of communcation in party. (The dunes fyi)

Leader told us to change camp, but not everyone followed him or we didnt aggree on, because war said bad camp, nobody will see us if we died. He said something about lizard, nobody was together... We had to zone because healer had gob aggro, so dnc and ldr dies from lizard and we had to zone. So war left because of one healer, newb guy left.... so dnc got a raise and whm was saying who to invite, or who is seeking. I didn't have leader, but the rank 10 had it, he wasnt saying anything, we know he was there, so whm was like "why isnt anyone inviting?" I responded that I don't have leader?, so the rank 10 guy hands me ldr.

I Did mention that I haven't XP partied in 9 months!

I left saying something about the rank 10 lacked communcation or something.

...So later I ffxiah.com him, he has like 3-4 75 jobs.
