I have a WAR subjob for my RDM because I solo a lot and I use armor to boost MP. I hate that ppl always feel the need to let me know I should Sub BLM or WHM. I will when I need to back off ppl!

But i guess in endgame i won't be known as Selphiie i will always be "The Bard"

Sort of a peeve, more just depressing...last night I took a Dunes invite for the first time in a really long time, got just about to 17 DNC...everyone in the party came with passable gear, new their roles in the party, and executed them welll...and the XP was still slower than I likely could have solo'd. ; ; Very nice group though, and had lsmate in the party, so it was worth it, but I probably will be soloing for a bit longer, at least til Qufim/Jungles level.

You don't need /WAR to solo as RDM. You're doing it wrong. These people are only trying to help you.

Seriously why does this spell exist?

PLD/RDM (I know ... lol) in 5-1 fight who decide they're going to cast Diaga after I'd slept 4 skellies with Repose.

Two RDMs, a PLD, and myself, I'm the only person curing myself and I still manage to keep myself alive with half a dozen skellies beating on me while the MNK Hundred Fists ... we were lucky I lived through that. Either that, or I'm really that good at being WHM. XD And tanking.

Another pet peeve I recently discovered is when people reply to a post and all that it amounts to is...yeah what that guy said....

C'mon people please go read other questions that haven't been answered and actually contribute useful information. Or post something that actually says something other than what has already been posted.

But what do I know...go and beat the dead horse...it can't feel a thing!

I'm sorry I didn't realize that there were specific ways I had to play the game. I will make sure to tell all the other RDM/WAR that they are doing it wrong too. Seriously, I have no idea why you get thanked so much...if I wanted help I would ask for their opinion. However unsolicited ingame tells saying you should sub BLM or WHM are not welcome and need not apply!

There's nothing wrong w/ /WAR for soloing at all, I personally think it's a great solo sub. Better attack stats, JAs, and weaponskills, all of which go a long way to increase killspeed, which is more often than not a solo RDM's main issue, they have enough utility spells to be covered on the mage end. While I personally prefer /DRK, I still break out /WAR from time to time and wouldn't say it's a bad solo sub.
