That's not exactly an ideal setup for that NM. lol 'Grats on beating it though.

We would have loved a different setup, we just didn't have better jobs for it, and nobody felt like helping out. We did the other CoP 3-3 NM with the same setup, and managed to win there too. That one was short but nasty, this one was hair-pulling but no real danger. It's just as well I had staff up over 170, though...

I was in the same spot about 3 weeks ago leveling my PLD and we were actually doing the WS + MB method (Checks ground to see if hell froze over). We decided as a party to break up after the WHM levels and I guess the WHM was either in a hurry or wanted to show his skills and MB with the BLM. Well the WHM decided to use Banishga for the MB about 3/4 the way through the fight. For people who know about the Oasis camp, it has a lot of leeches. We killed the Goblin Mugger for the WHM to Level. Noone realized what the WHM has done until we saw his HP drop fast . Then the BLM what was back up healing dropped next. Then they were after our MNK, I saw this and voke/Cure Bombed the MNK to get hate. I spamed {Run away} {Selbina}! 3 times then I saw the other 4 members make a break for Selbina. I tried to two hour and saw I had 2 minutes and 14 seconds before I can use it again (The puller accidently pulled two goblins before). I dropped the next hit (aka all 5 leeches) and WAR dropped near the entrance to Selbina (Goblin). The PUP and the DRG(I havent partied with a DRG since the first year FFXI was out and I never PT with a PUP.) made it to Selbina alive. The BLM begins yelling at the WHM for how stupid he is and the worst WHM ever... etc. I would agree with the BLM but for the last 4 hours (Fiance went shopping with her friend on Saturday! *Does I can play FFXI dance*) the WHM did an exceptional job. He actually had a regen cycle going (Let me build hate with Cure2 and provoke) and barfirena (sp?) for the goblin bombs. Did his normal cures and we never had to wait for him to rest for mp.

On a side note why did the MNK get hate from the leeches. I thought only cures/buffs give hate for non claimed monsters.

I actually don't mind this until a certain point (usually after dunes levels), if only because most people who have multiple high levels don't have room for some low level armor that only gives defense. While I can't agree with the sub, I will say that weapons/armor aren't exactly the be all end all for WHMs at that level. Really, unless you're a tank (and even then), you don't exactly have to be decked out in scale mail +1.

If he's new, he needs to learn sooner than later how to gear and set his job properly.

If he's a vet then there really is no excuse for that at all.

I've probably said this before ...

But I don't expect people to have 1337 gear at that level. Still, don't come naked ... wear your level 1 RSE if you have to, at least you've got some level of defense. True it's not much, but hell you're at least making an effort, or pretending like you are.

My favorite thing about that screenshot is the INT rings. It's like a parody of itself.

Mages don't need armor in the Dunes, because as everyone knows, tanks in the Dunes are awesome and never ever lose hate no matter what.

Whm's that
1) don't paralyna faster than a rdm/whm
2) don't poisona faster than a rdm/whm
3) don't cure faster than a rdm/whm
4) don't regen the tank(this case me)
5) sits for majority of fights with only 100-200 mp used
6) doesn't believe and refuses to listen that cure 5 is better than 4
7) pissed off the rdm making him log cause of how much slack he picks up from the lazy whm
8) didn't occur that maybe a job using cure that isn't a whm in the party would know how enmity on the spells work

Parties with whm like that
Leader who picked a blm and rdm to heal after first rdm and whm left
Then, try to place leader on me before saying he has to go after blm left and rdm starts to log.
Parties in ToAU with people spoiled and doesn't know how jobs are truely played back in the day

I have recently discovered the wonders of
fishing up Devil Mantas over the weekend
and over the course of friday-sunday the price dropped
50k, probably more by now
because people can't wait the extra 3 hours for a crafter to pay a bit more
now
i understand supply/demand, but the whole weekend there were ~7 on AH, which is the same as always according to what I have seen on FFXIAH.com
one time on sat there was 12 I believe, in this case the price going down was understandable, but they didn't need to continue to drop it orz
anyway
even with the failing price, I'm going to keep this up

Sometimes it never recovers though.

Ya a LS crafter was complaining about this the other day-he is 100+3 though I think it was stuff he was HQing for profits
quivers of some sort of bolt, lets say acid-it's not important
but he said it should have been selling for about 30k, and people were selling them for 15k and he was barely breaking even, even with the constant HQing he was doing

Yes, me too, and this is why I no longer craft. It's not even worth my time. I'm making more gil by selling all the crystals I hoarded on my mule while I waited for the market to recover.

Farmed like crazy for 3 days... made 500k for a Utsusemi:NI scroll and a jujitsu gi to keep lvling my nin... was so happy cuz finally i could buy this stupid scroll... went to AH saw las prices...399k ~ 410k.
