Hydro Pumps are under Weapons > Ammo & Misc at the AH. It's a piece of equipment that goes in your throwing slot. Every time you hit an enemy with the Hydro Axe it consumes one of the pumps and does some added damage.

Yes, it's an item that I believe you can find under Ammo on the AH. I do know that it goes in the Ammo slot on your equipment menu.

Not quite every time. As I recall, the alchemy shop in Aht Urgan sells the bottom tier ones...

If you can get ahold of them at the appropriate levels, they can be quite nice.

these used to be very rare in the game as it takes a few lvls of crafting between woodcrafting and alchemy.

Now you can buy them very, very cheaply at the Alchemy guild. There is an alchemy guild in Bastok and one in Aht Urgan. They are worth it too, the damage that it adds is considerable and higher than a red mage enchantment. Same goes for the windfans and batteries. Atleast till lvl 30ish.

                Re: Hydro tank?

I used some hydro patas +1 for awhile. The additional effect procs randomly and can be resisted, but it is straight up extra damage. For monks at the level the hydro patas =1 cacn be used, there are better options like TM+2 and CC, but they fit a budget better and are exactly the same dmg/delay as bone patas +1, which is the cheapest acceptable weapon at that level range. Better if you don't already have a tiphia sting for the ammo slot, I tossed mine bc of the tiphia sting.

A fast hitting class like monk is ideal for added effect weapons.

Are there other kinds of elemental tanks other the water?
Like maybe a sword + fire.
