    Re: EXTREMELY Unhelpful GMs.

the 9 probably comes from the o near the end of hello, not the period.

Other than that, you were just a jackass. If you treated me like that, I wouldn't want to help either.

While I do believe customer service representatives should always be professional, that does not condone nor excuse the blatant rudeness of your reaction.

If you had simply stated your unhappiness with the wait, the GM would no doubt have apologized. Things would have ended there.

Should the GM have left you unattended for that length of time? No.

Does that mean you had to be rude? No.

Your response was completely unnecessary and completely unwarranted. You're the type of person who makes customer service jobs terrible.

Frankly, the GM was nice to end the call without giving you a warning.

Well i've only called a GM a few times for harrassment and such and mpk when it use to be able to be done. This guy actully followed me allmost everywhere i went and tryed to mpk me-.- it was for like week+ to but everytime i've called the GMs have been really helpful and have quickly taken care of the problem. Although with the call in the first post wasnt very nice to the GM if I was that GM i would have punished you but i understand the GM is supposed to be kind and all that good stuff even with a rude person so maby both at fault but the GM didnt really do anything worth complaing about to.

[Here I get kicked from chat]

He literally took 10-30minute breaks in-between saying something, and in the end, he didn't even tell me what he was doing, what his SGM told him, just told me to call tech support. What the hell is happening to GMs lately? >_<

Edit: To make things worst, I was in first place in the queue for about an hour.
When I came, it was empty.
Well, you started out taunting him, and ended taunting him.

          1. Did he help you? No.
          2. Did he do a good job listening to you? No.
          3. Did that give you a right to taunt him over something that was obviously a problem? No.
          4. Should you have complained about this GM to another GM and not us? Yes.
          5. Did you handle the situation any better than him? No.
          6. Could you have called another GM later to try to get your problem solved again? Yes.
          7. Did you do anything other than make the problem worse? No.
          8. Do I think that you are any better than that GM? No.

I say what goes around comes around. You gave crap, and therefore got crap. If there's one thing you never do, it's correct a GM and ask about his grammar (even if there is an accidental number at the end of a word). And if you do have the problem with a GM, then report them.

And, did you ever concider that that GM might be in another time zone from you? Perhaps where he was it was night, even though it was 6 a.m. for you. Yes, the world is in fact round.

Lol, he read the [GM]Dave blog and thought it was an easy job, no he's working his ass off answering 100 calls at same time in 12 different languages.

Speaking of unhelpful GMs, it seems [GM]Jcblue is no longer a GM.

A few screenshots have popped up with other GMs confirming his "career change."

The GM services are run by SOE. It wouldn't surprise me if [GM]Jcblue is now [GM]Cjred.

its funny you brought up aggro's thru doors that are closed. awhile ago i was banned for 24 hours cause i used a glitch ingame to open a door in Castle Oz. funny a glitch kills you, an you hear tough Shiiiii, when you use the same door clitch you get thrown in jail.

as for GM's are concerned, they realize they are prob the most hated people in America just behind terroists, an the Dixie chicks. i got stuck in oldtown, an the GM said it was my fault, an maybe next time i should bring a warp scroll, an i was like, well i didnt know you had glitch holes everywhere ingame. so he says hold on an goes off, 15 mins later i try to /tell him, only to not be able to. so i called another GM an he said the other guy stepped away.

Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

How were you using the door to help you? And, even if it was an exploit in game, that doesn't seem punishable since it's their fault.

                        Re: EXTREMELY Unhelpful GMs.

Pretty much what everyone said, you were rude. I work retail, and you know what happens when customers (that would be the player making a call in this case) give me attitude? I don't want to do anything for them anymore. I only help them the bare minimum of what I have to to keep from being fired, and if someone else is on the floor, I let them take care of it. And if they insult me, I point them to the door and tell them they can leave now or be escorted out by security in front of everyone else. I don't put up with it.

Just because someone is in a customer service position does not make them lower than you. Nor does it make them your floormat. When you insult people, they do not suddenly start to like you and agree to do whatever you say. This is not The Elder Scrolls. Insult does not raise disposition in the 'real world.'

Yes, mobs aggro though doors. I learned that in Oztroja. But I had always supected they would, anyway. Seems logical they'd pop open a door and run after you. Sometimes some of them do open them, other times they don't. Death happens. Sometimes 'unfair' death.

I got Air-Jordaned by some orc in Davoi while helping a friend look for her AF weapon coffer. He jumped off of some cliff and drove a sword through my head. It was horrible and yet hysterical at the same time. Learn to laugh at these kind of things, else the stress will kill you.

If you go anywhere near the church in Davoi it's open season on all adventurers. I learned that the hard way...

Every single GM I've had the pleasure of talking to has been as helpful as they possibly can. Most people get upset when GMs don't meet their unrealistic, or misinformed, expectations. Getting angry at them is futile, and it's just not even worth it to get angry at all in life. You wont be angry if you don't let youself become angry, and you wont make other people angry either.

*shrug* I've never had troubles with GM's. I've always been polite to them, and they've been polite and as helpful as they can in return.

                              Re: EXTREMELY Unhelpful GMs.

/sit or resting reduces the level mobs perceive you as to 1. Nothing "aggro's /sit" nor resting. It's just that when doing so, mobs perceive you as level 1 and aggro you by normal rules. If a mob doesn't aggro, it won't aggro you resting or /sitting. If you think about it, it makes sense if aggro is simulating a monster's behavior. If you're resting, you're probably weaker than normal in some fashion, so the monster attacks you.

There are two types of objects in the game:

Solid objects like walls, floors, ceilings, etc. Mobs cannot aggro you through these. They used to be able to, but can't now. This was a big problem in a few areas back in the day, but it's mostly taken care of. If you find a place they can, contact technical support and report the glitch.

Non-solid objects like doors, plants, railing, gates, etc. are basically nonexistent in terms of barriers blocking aggro.

Depending on the door, mobs will either open it then come through, or just walk straight through it. Both situations can happen and it's entirely dependent on the door. Mobs will always open the door in Uggalepih for example, while not opening the doors in Beadeaux. In my experience, mobs open doors added in the expansion packs (Including Zilart), although I couldn't tell you if this is universally true.

Tele your silly. i actually remember a time, when my g/f asked someone if they had a certain jacket in a bigger size. the lady said hold on an walked to the back came out an said no, another girl in another part of the store asked me, an low an behold, she came out with a jacket the other retail gal said they didnt have.

when it all boils down to is there, when your lazy, everyone else will suffer, when you miserable, everyone else suffers. dont say its not true cause it really is. sadly its your job, you knew what it intails. honestly if you cant handle with the customers. go find an overnight stocking job, that way you dont have to talk to people.

theres a certain door in Castle O, that if you face the corner in such a way you can minipulate the camera angle to expose the switch on the other side of the door. an for some odd reason to this day i can usually do it,

S.E said i was exploiting a glitch, i told them i just clicked the switch an it opens, i cant help where i auto run to. then i got a lecture, because i trully didnt tell him how it was done.

i honestly was very polite to the G.M it was nearing the end when i finally realized i was stuck in there for 24 hours regardless what i did, so i told him, what they are trained to say to us. " im sorry im not allowed to talk about game funtions or mechanics." " i assure you all systems are running fine at this time" "is there anything else i can help you with" "thankyou GM<name here> you have a great day"lol sortly after that i had a pol error.
