Re: a test of the dunes

If you're alone tho, sticking to where the crowds are is still your best choice. You need party. And the crowd is what will give you that.

transform a yellow spot into the sun.

Unfortunately, yes. Even when LFG for dunes levels I try and get some solo exp in LaTheine or The Highlands while I wait. That way, I get exp, and I avoid random invites from people that don't know how to search by /all inv or /region.

I don't know, my first time out to the Dunes as a level 14-15 Red Mage wasn't fun. I died on the way there, and got killed by Bogy. I ended up deleveling back to 14.

The best place I found a PT too was Korroloka Tunnel killing worms. Three levels in just a few hours and only the tank died 2 times due to a newbie WHM.

I prefer Korroloka as well, but with more than a couple of parties there, the exp can slow down quite a bit. Valkurm can be just fine if everyone knows how to avoid aggro when moving to camp, and if people know how to work together (puller knows how to pull effectively, mages know how to maximize MP use while minimizing hate, tank knows how to tank, etc), but then again, those levels are about learning how to do that in the first place, so it's to be expected that there are going to be a few bumps in the road.

Korroloka Tunnel is by far the best low level partying area but it's very difficult to get a group there. Everyone and their relatives are LFG in Valkurm so that's where you kinda have to go.

Didn't have much of a problem putting a group together for Korroloka Tunnels. My boyfriend and another person in the LS went with me. They were both around my level at that time. And we found 3 other people that wanted to join an exp party and invited them.

                I'm a bit confused by Avhmia's post.
