ok so im running through the dunes as my brothers whm to raise some friends and of course iget asked to raise other not a problem.

here is my problem when i say ill be right there and start getting yelled at by these people im so gracious to help to hurry up, what the hell is there problem im trying to help and i get yelled at so i give a /sh that im charging 1K a raise and oh boy they didnt like that to much too bad fo them i would have done it for free if you were polite. i did feel bad however charging a polite group to raise a fallen comrade but atm i wasnt caring for politeness i just wanted to get the hell out of there, after taking the last 1K of one of the party members i return to my charecter to find he was in my LS should i feel bad about charging him or not what do you think...

oh and a message to all the people out there that think its the WHM job to raise people and cure them if your not in my PT its just a favor be polite and ill help if your an asshole your getting chraged or not helped at learn respect and youll get it back

You should feel kinda bad about charging a LS member for a raise... but thats just my opinion

I wouldnt worry about it though, if you apologize then I see no reason why he should stay mad (I would probably return the money too)...

In Yhoater the other day in a party as WHM, I got a /tell asking for a raise. I replied saying sorry, I can't come, I'm busy.

Got another /tell from them, and replied saying that I couldn't as I was in a party.

Got yet another /tell from them asking if that meant I was coming .

On a nicer note, I was farming as BST/WHM in Qufim a couple of weeks back. I was in the area by Dellfukt's (sp?) Tower killing undead. I raised a few people - nothing like raising someone when you have a Kraken on you . After about the fourth or fifth raise, someone offered to trade with me and tried to give me 5k. I turned it down and told them there was no charge (it's not like I was doing much during the day anyway). There were no /tells demanding instant-o-raises or hassle about my having to change equipment to get enough mp.

That said, I've learnt to stay /anon when I'm on WHM...

I admit that some newbs can be real jerks sometimes (there are a few who act like they know everything when they don't even have their chocobo license yet )...

But you have to remember that not all newbs are bad, most of them just try to be as nice as possible and are very humble to experienced players (I'm a newb if you havnt noticed ).

Then again you were in the dunes (a noob breeding ground). lol

EDIT: If someone offered me gil for a raise... I would take it... since I'm currently broke... NEED GIL BAD!

What I hate are the people who /tell you for Raise, and you tell them you're on your way. This usually happens to be way out on the damned Secret Beach. -.-

Of course, by the time I get there, someone's already raised that person. Did I get a /tell saying "Don't bother, we got one already, but thanks anyway?" NO! What the hell!

Yeah, sometimes they'll do that, but I've noticed a trend lately that a lot of people don't. I mean for crying out loud, I've got things to do, too. I don't mind raising you, but don't make me run all the way out there for nothing.

I'd give the money back to the LS mate (but you said you were already going to do that.) I can respect the screwing them over and charging them thing, but I wouldn't have done it to the people who were being polite.
And also, I can respect pissing them off by charging them, but I'd have cared less about the money and just not gone at all. 1k gil isn't much these days, and I can be pretty spiteful when I want. Either just don't show up at all and don't say anything, or put your character on walk and creep over there for like 20 minutes.

I don't like how you're sterotyping newbies... There's tons of high leveled jackasses too who think just because it's a game they don't have to respect people. >.< I met a level 75 Beastmaster (I think THF subjob) who "tlked lik dis plz".

I'm glad I'm not a WHM, I see how they get abused(red mages too).

Sadly, I wouldn't be surprised if one or two of the people /tell'ing him to hurry up etc. didn't have one or two high level jobs and were just leveling another job through the dunes.

Had some "fun" tonight in the dunes lvling a low lvl job. Had a crappy war in the pt and all he did was whine. "Let's kill sheep" Our JP thf said "Sheep = sleep, sleep = death, death = thanks for the offer, I'll have to pass" It was hilarious. But he wouldn't stop saying that we should be killing them.

Then I had my husbands rdm there for raises. I refuse to set my hp in the dunes because I'm not doing the trek back to Whitegate to set it back! So my husband was away from his desk and his desk is across the room from my computer. Well the puller got a Goblin Leecher (yes, a Leecher) and of course it was raping us. Well I slept it with Lullaby after I told them to disengage. OF COURSE there has to be one in the bunch that just won't! So after I slept it I got up to run to his computer....NOT. The mnk kept killing it. "No way! I'm killing this!" Run back to my computer, tell him STOP, fail to sleep Gob, get raped, live, use mp on mnk, attempt to sleep again, succeed, get up to run to other computer, mnk hits it, pt members screaming to sleep it, sit back down, pt members dying, out of mp, OMFG KILL ME NOW!!!

Now while this is going on and the idiot war lay dead, he's screaming "SOMEONE GET <husbands character>!!!!!!" "<husbands character> NEEDS TO CURE!!!!" Now mind you, its been explained to him several times that I AM PLAYING THAT CHARACTER. But the idiot can not get a clue. <me> = <t> ..... how much easier can it be explained? I've also explained that I can not play both characters at once, so its one or the other. Everyone gets it but the idiot. Then when I can finally get to my husbands puter and do some healing and kill off the rampant Leecher, the war goes "SEE WTF DID I TELL YOU!! HE IS THERE THE A**HOLE!!" /sigh

I had enough. I told him he was an idiot and to stfu. Two other pt members did the same. "That's it! I'm out of this pt cause it sucks!!" He hp'd and disbanded. He was right, it did suck but after we got a nice Galka war that did an AWESOME job, all was right with the world. Funny thing is, this new war was brand new to the game with no sub just like the last but this one had a brain.

im not saying all the noobs are bad but of course your probly right they were just high levels that expect to be spoonfed by whm im sorry if offended any new players but there are some that need to understand the politness goes along way and when were telling them what to do in a pt were not being jerks were just trying to teach them roles they will play i hope i never have to go to the dunes to pt again

ahh who am i kiding ill be there in a week leveling something else bah SE just delte the dunes and sasve us all the headhaches

You should feel bad for charging an LS mate. If you don't want to be bothered
running through the Dunes go /anon. There are mean people in this game
sometimes regardless of the level of their jobs. You aren't obligated to raise
anyone if you are busy.

You should have charged 20k gil per raise, maybe that way people will learn that raise isn't needed in the dunes. If it was needed there raise would be lvl 10whm.
