Basically the burn parties I have been in (and I have done mainly warrior parties), involve 3 or 4 war/nin, 1 or 2 bards (depending on how lucky you are) and 1 rdm/whm.
/nin ensures they don't need too much healing, though keeping them as high as possible is good. With a bard you are getting 6mp a tick refresh, so you can haste the warriors no problem, most of the time is it just throwing out curagas to cure them all - bards can help back that up.
Bards will pull mobs to camp, sleep them, wars destroy while the bard goes looking for more. Making a constant chain. Deco weapons in the Shrine was the best for this pre ToAU, now the camp next to the Mamool Ja Staging Post in Bhalfau(sp*) Thickets is king. The only thing that will slow you down there is a particularly rough Mammol Ja or Jurek (wyvern type). I hit chain #120 before we got a nasty knockback from a puk which killed our bard as he ended up in a pile of mobs...
