    Re: new party options

so if a big part of it is /NIN does that make the tactic (as is) not as usful at lowere levels because of the teir of Utsu subbable? if i'm correct (and i'm probably not >.> the upper tier of utsu s available at 36 or 37 meaning it's only available at high levels? will melee burn break down without this utsu?

A bit off topic but does Paladin and Summoner Refresh stack with Sanction Refresh?
I was under the assumption that it didn't, and I didn't want to waste IS points on it

It works on warrior parties from about 55 because of the weaponskill rampage. There is very little subtlety about 4 warriors spamming rampage, but it does mean very very dead mobs. Even at 55 with only utsu ichi it is a viable tactic - I was in a burn party at 58 last week with 4 warriors, 1 rdm and me on whm. Hate gets bounced around. It can go wrong, but can at any level.

All sources of Auto-Refresh stack. I XP'd 2 nights ago in Bhaflau Thickets as RDM68/BRD34 and was gaining 6MP/tick (3 from Refresh + 1 from Ballad + 1 from Vermillion Cloak + 1 from Sanction Refresh).

Speaking of nonstandard parties - the party I was in above was
          NIN/WAR
          NIN/WAR
          NIN/WAR
          BLU/WHM
          RDM/BRD
          BLM/RDM.

7.5K xp/hr, no KO's except one time when the BLM got a bit too nukehappy and ate a Firespit from a Mamool Ja.

I have a semi static going with a couple of friends. Ninja (me), Thief, and Summoner.
One day we were trying to fill out the rest of the party, going for a support job
first. 4 hours later and no mages lfg... so we decide to make a pseudo melee burn.
So, I filled out the party with melee - Ninja, Thief, Summoner, Monk, Thief, and Dark
Knight. (I let them all know we had only one mage and no support beforehand)

Everyone subbed ninja except the Dark and the Summoner and we chained VT's.
It worked really well for us and we were able to take some IT's if we wanted.
It just took everyone being open to trying something different. (we were in the 40's,
but I can't remember exact level)

just out of interest. would i be right in thinking...

              rdm refresh 3mp
              brd ballad x2 3mp
              cor rolling 11 4mp
              vermy 1mp
              sanction 1mp
              pld or summoner 1mp

              = 13mp per tick!?

further to this i'm not sure how blu auto refresh works but can it add more than 1mp per tick? can you get extra auto refresh from subbing pld to summoner? would either of those allow more?

You've never gotten +12 MP/tick, have you? Last night me and my friendswhere messing around...

                Vermy Cloak(friend's) - +1 MP
                Sanction - +1 MP
                RDM refresh - +3 MP
BRD dual refresh - +3 MP
                COR refresh - +2-4

It was heaven, I was getting MP back faster than I could use it >.>
