I dont know what kind i need to buy, i need more space in my mog house and ive heard that theres furniture for smithing or something?

Also whats a mule? And how do i get one? Thanks

you need to buy a bronze bed and place it in your mog house to start the quest to expand your mog house space. and before you ask, do a search, the quest has been covered many times on this forum already.

as for mules, it is an extra character you buy just to hold your items, sell stuff, etc.

You can buy certain beds, and if you have enough fame in your home country then your moogle will offer you the chance to get more spaces in your mog safe. Check FFXI.somepage for how to go about these quests. I'm not sure what you mean about furniture for smithing. Yes, leveling smithing I believe can make it possible to make certain items, but usually there are furniture items that can be purchased either from an npc or from the AH for less than it would cost to craft them. There is also a furniture item that increases your smithing skill, however this is a crafting level 88 item, so you shouldn't worry about it for a while.
A mule is a second character purchased on the same account for an extra dollar a month. It basically acts like a storage shed for your main character and provides an extra 80 spaces.

Also, it's 1.00 for each additional character besides your main so it's not a big deal to get one. A lot of people have one in each city but you probably won't need that many starting out. Besides the bed quests that expand your mog house space there is also furniture that can give you storage space by sacrificing mog house inventory slots. You can only access storage space in your home town. http://ffxi.somepage.com/itemdb/furniture.php is a good place to learn about furniture and how it works. I would do the bed quests first as neighbortaru suggested tho. You can get up to 80 slots with those.

ok...furniture for smithing would probably be fire based (so ur crydtals dont break...as often or lose materials), so get furniture withe the little flame on it...lol. Now you have to put the furniture in your moghouse then got to "layout" to place it. after that you will have storage spaces available (try to get items that have atleast 2 storage to 1 mog house slot - otherwise it aint worth it).

Now a mule is a secondary character - in other words make a new character - make sure its on the same server, and send him stuff you want to store for you because your out of room.
