XBOX 360 gamertag/playonline question

Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong board!

Anyways....

When registering with PlayOnline it said that it had to be connected to ONE gamertag, stupidly I connected it to the one I rarely use (thinkin I could change it)...

So I was wondering if...

a) There is anyway to change the gamertag it's connected to...

And...

b) What happens if I uninstall playonline (will I be able to reregister with the same playonline id and password or is that 'it'...?)

A) No. Unfortunately SE will not allow you to link your Playonline ID to a different/second Gamertag ID.

B) I have no real input for this scenario being as I have not tried it myself, but I do not believe this will resolve the matter.

This announcement concerns users of the Xbox360 version of PlayOnline.

Xbox 360 FINAL FANTASY XI service went live on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at 19:00 (PDT).

When logging into PlayOnline, you will be asked to build an Xbox Live Gamer Profile and link your PlayOnline ID to it. Please note that you will be unable to link this PlayOnline ID with any other Gamer Profile.

The Gamer Profile can be saved either within your Xbox 360 build, either in the hard disk drive, or your memory unit. You may not be able to log into PlayOnline
if your PlayOnline ID is not saved in these Gamer Profiles.

Totally unrelated but Im gonna ask anyway. Xbox live cost anything? Gey if its a monthly subscription to log onto the net. Ive got a connection I pay for already >.<

Live Silver service doesn't, Gold does. Only Silver is needed for FFXI, lets you chat with people on your friends list and download updates I believe. For any game that requires Live though (for example Halo) you need Live Gold to play it online.
