Anyone know when the next server migration is, or if there will even be one? I love mine to death, but if the prices are better on a server that I can migrate to I would love to move.

I'd love to move also, but the prices would just end up being the same way over time.

Economies as a whole will most likely be very similar between servers. Moving from one to another won't make getting that item any easier, and if it did a server migration would change that in a week.

I've checked out a few different servers, and the prices really are pretty consistent overall. There are a couple of bad servers (Asura, for example), but overall, the grass really isn't greener.

Y'know, in the last migration, a lot of people had about the same idea, moving to Remora to take advantage of a different economy. Of course, since so many did the same thing, the economy just got jacked all to hell in general for a while. The first handful of people to sell/buy managed to make out pretty well, but then it all tapered off, fast. Things have pretty much settled down now, and I doubt any legitimate players who migrated are any better off than they were before hand. Plus now they're stuck on a server with a bunch of people who ran away from their reputations, stole gear before they left, etc.

Migration isn't necessarily a bad thing, of course. But it's also not some shining ray of awesome that fixes all your problems.

Hades was opposite. I left Middie and came to Hallelujia land where everything was about 3/4 cheaper. Yeah, the second migration is the one I'm talking about. I wasn't around for the first migration, I got randomly placed on Remora in between. Remora was actually pretty nice for a while, economy-wise. It was easy to get along at any rate. Now it's as bad as anywhere else from what I've read, if not worse.

Ah... so yes, both Hades and Remora were pretty sheltered after the 1st migration. Which then poses this question...

If lower population servers do not suffer from inflation as high population servers do (Believe me, Middie was pretty populated when I left, but not so much now) then shouldn't SE increase the number of servers available to players? Say ... another 33%~50% more servers.

                            Just a thought...

They should do that if normal inflation is a bad thing, which it isn't. Massive inflation like we had over Christmas is obviously bad, but the slow, steady inflation that's generally been happening isn't a bad thing on its own.
