    i've noticed the increased cooperation to... just abotu every Cure is met with a "thank you!" or an "OMFGLILUVU" response - usually I only get these from JP players.

      Also note that ... there was a level restriction in place when I did one of the Besieged. Now, not sure what this means.

      (a) That for certain Besieged events, there maybe a level cap in place.
      (b) That this is to keep restriction to 75 in case of possible future raise in level cap.
      (c) SE just put it there to confuse me.

        Its how they make it so that you don't loose XP; its not a level cap so much as an "Event cap"

          Even in level cap, I lose exp when I die. Do you think it's the same sort of logo they use for everything? That's what has me puzzled.

            Some level caps loose XP (BCNM much?), but some don't (mostly holiday events). I'm guessing they used the latter since it was there.

              What I like doing is running into corners where ppl are resting for hp, then dumping cure4s on them (curing is how I get xp/IS in besieged, since I can't seem to do worthwhile damage any other way) Always get thanks or bows or whatever, even before the update (I haven't been able to catch one that's happened after it)

                Thats sorta what I do too. I jump from hotspot to hotspot curing the tanks, and finding people resting in out of the way places

                  I woke up, logged onto the al zhabi moghouse.. Headed to our favorite warparutaru to find him gone.. I freak out, and walk a bit further to see this:

                  Imagine my surprise! My first beseiged I didn't have to wait for, it just came to me xD. People were saying this is one of the hardest ones yet. I'm not sure, I made 600 XP or so from curing and casting nukes that did no damage. Also raising.

                  Lakshmi! Undefeated with 30 successive wins under it's belt. We'll see what happens tonight during the next beseiged set.

                      I just did my first "real" Besieged last night on Valefor and I have
                      to say it was tons of fun! (My first try was before the changes
                      and I never even saw a mob so I am not counting that)

                      I liked how the mobs are super tough. Makes it feel like an epic battle.
                      For those of you who didn't like it, are you doing it with LS mates or
                      friends? We had an alliance of Linkshell members and we took care of
                      each other. I don't know, maybe it makes a difference when you are
                      looking out for each other and using teamwork instead of being in
                      a pick-up group and fending for yourself. I was told not to voke mobs
                      because I would die alot (and I wouldn't get as many IS points...) but I
                      did it anyway and didn't die at all. I seemed to be able to tank the
                      attackers ok, although I did have a great whm watching my back.

                      I can't wait to do it again

                        For the most part, the people that are going to be frustrated with Besieged are the ones below level 75. Level differences make a huge difference in how effective you are at hurting enemies.

                            lol tell me about it. my little 32WHM was only able to nuke for 1-6 damage last night when the undead forces attacked on Remora. However, I was able to help more running around healing people with cure 3's. Managed to keep my taru butt in one piece and got some 346 XP at the end of it. Pretty darn fun.

                              we had a lv. 5 mamool ja besieged last night at ~130AM PST on remora. It was pretty damn fun. Warparu was protected!! However, the magic shop is no more and leather and bone salesmen have been gone for quite some time now lol, I guess no one really misses them.

                              I got charmed by a mamool ja bst and well, I got to hack up an elvaan sam. poor guy probably couldnt even target me with all the lag. anyhow, he tried to tachi: gekko me at the end but he fell even after landing a gekko. sorry godfist ><

                              Some of the mobs difficulty is retardedly insane. we had about 30 ppl meleeing this one mamool ja and after 1 min of constant melee, he was at 95%. i dont know what was up with that guy but he was a beast.

                              Then I got blown up for 3062 dmg.

                              Ended up getting 700xp, fun stuff.

                                Wow, I am coming back to FFXI after a 9 month's absence.


                                Besieged sounds... so fun. Wow...

                                At first it sounded lame because of how easy it was, but now I can't wait.

                                I'm the kind of person to take charge and blitz the enemies. Like in Ballista <.<
                                Maybe because I'm a Taru monk. <.<
