  • Mog Lockers : Are they useful ?

    Hello again !

I have searched the forums, and I have yet to see too much discussion about the actual use of Mog Lockers. For those of you who have them, how do you like it ? Is it useful ? Expensive ? Time consuming ? Please discuss.

You get access to it after completing a few ToAU mission cutscenes. You get one day of access for free, afterwards you are locked out. You can purchase more access with Imperial currency. One Bronze piece gives 1 week of access. When you are unable to access your Mog Locker, your items are not lost, just inaccessible, like how you can't access Storage from a Rent-a-Room.

Extra 30 storage which is expandable to 50. I'd say it's useful. Great for storing a whole set of armor and tools for a sub job you level on and off or something. Beats muling all the time.

      60 Cooking (92+1 Mule)

40 Fishing (Frog Fishing, 3,704/10,000 MC for Lu Shang)

They're good for long term storage that you can't mule. Bronze pieces arn't too expensive, considering how often you'd be taking things in and out of a locker. I see it useful for finished stacks of Kindred Seals and Beastmen Seals, along with unused AF, and event items.

Once you're high level and move to set your homepoint at the new area, the mog locker access becomes very convinient. Definitely useful.

Just through doing quests/missions I have enough conis to keep it open for ~13 weeks (it locks up some time in July). I keep all sorts of crap in there, chips for limbus, Rare/ex stuff that I need later, etc.

I'm using the hell outta my /locker. And I'm working on getting my Mythril pieces so I can upgrade the thing. With all the jobs I level, I have 20 rings alone, 4 Torques, neck pieces for MND, STR, Atk/Acc, MP, 10~14 earrings, several hands pieces for RDM, ones I swap in for STR on WS, and the list goes on. Nevermind the random things I keep for later crafting, or holding until I get a stack to sell. That extra 30 spaces come in really handy. I think I've gotten down to having my Gobby Bag at 42/60 with my 8 Staves, RSE, Errant, and RSE pieces for RDM EXP.

I put a bunch of stuff in there, and I let my lease expire. If I need anything else, I still have 11 more Bronze pieces I can pay quickly to get my stuff. Works like a charm for me.

Just fill it up with junk you don't touch but can't bare to toss. If you're high lvl and already filled up an expanded mh and personal inventory, you'll understand just how nice this is.

Very useful too when you're leveling another job, that is totally unrelated with your current job (e.g. a WHM when your main is a WAR) for an extended period of time.
